When Life Gives You Lemons, F**k It!

Welcome to ChangeHER. I am so happy you are here for this heartfelt conversation.  Amy Schwartz is a gem of a human. F**k It Inc. was born from life's hardest moments, when Amy Scwartz’s,  founder of F**k It, fiancé suffered a debilitating stroke in 2022, she needed a reminder that everything would be okay. That reminder became a bracelet on her wrist with two simple words: F**K IT. What started as her personal mantra quickly became something bigger. They create bold gold and silver jewelry for fearless souls who refuse to let fear, doubt, or life's curveballs hold them back. Their community is built on radical acceptance, resilience, and the power of letting go. When you wear your F**K IT bracelet, you're joining a movement of people who choose courage over perfection and action over paralysis. Thanks for being here. Listening To Your Heart, Drawing Out the Noise and Living in Alignment with Sacha Hughes

Welcome to ChangeHER. I am excited to share this heart felt conversation with you about living through challenges, changing, drowning out the noise and listening to your heart as we navigate change.  Sacha Hughes graduated from the University of Sheffield with a degree in Business Studies before embarking on a ten-year career in financial services recruitment in London. Her debut novel, Love, Grief & More Sex Than Pinot, a Bridget Jones-meets-Fleabag vibe, is inspired by her personal experiences in her mid-to-late twenties, with her second book from the Soho Summers series: Soho Summers Vs Love, Life, The Universe out before the end of the year.  Sacha writes from her kitchen table in Poole, Dorset, fuelled by strong coffee, Common Roots Cacao, daily meditations, and the occasional pinot grigio with close friends. She lives with her two treasured children, Rose and Cato, and their much-adored (and decidedly entitled) black-and-white cat Pickle. That is, until a mischievous little black kitten, Zuma, arrived and promptly promoted himself to Chief Editor.  Get in touch with Sacha! Three takeaways:  1)  You are beautifully perfect just as you are 2) Don't worry about what everyone else thinks follow your own lane 3) Your heart is your biggest compass for you so listen to her whispers and trust her Thank you and I look forward to meeting you!  Welcome to Change-HER, a podcast designed for women embracing the transformative journey through midlife. Bone Health and Joint Health in Midlife with Dr. Jocelyn Wittstein

Welcome to ChangeHER. I am delighted to share this conversation with you today. I have the pleasure of honor of speaking with Dr. Jocelyn Wittstein about bone and joint health during menopause. We chat about frozen shoulders and osteoporosis and how we can help mitigate these conditions.   Dr. Wittstein is an associate professor of orthopaedic surgery with research and clinical interests in the shoulder, elbow, and knee in pediatric and adult populations. In the shoulder, she has studied the outcomes of rotator cuff repairs, the surgical treatment of injuries to the long head biceps, and the use of telemedicine to evaluate shoulder pathology. Dr. Wittstein is also studying the relationship between menopause, hormone replacement therapy, and the development of frozen shoulders in women. At the elbow, her work focuses on gymnastics-related and youth-throwing injuries. Her areas of interest in the knee include ACL injury mechanisms, links between ACL and meniscus injuries, development of post-traumatic arthritis, and the effects of joint blood on overall knee health and meniscus healing. Together, these efforts advance knowledge that informs better prevention, treatment, and recovery strategies for every patient who relies on musculoskeletal care. Dr. Wittstein is a co-investigator on several NIH grants, working with Louis DeFrate, PhD, and Amy McNulty, PhD, on studies of these knee-related topics. She sees patients at Duke Sports Medicine Cary, Duke Orthopaedics of Apex, and Duke Orthopaedics of Heritage. Dr. Wittstein performs surgery at Duke Arringdon and Duke Raleigh and conducts research as part of her work at all these sites. Motivation is not the answer, Confidence through Action IS!

Welcome to ChangeHER. In this episode, I speak with Robyn Godfrey about how our lives can change with just one small change.  Robyn is a TEDx speaker, author, RRCA Certified Running Coach, and keynote speaker who inspires people to stop waiting for motivation and start taking action. At age 47, Robyn took her first 30-second run on a treadmill, a decision that ultimately led to completing seven marathons, earning the coveted Six Star Medal after finishing six of the World Marathon Majors, writing her bestselling memoir Running the World, and delivering a TEDx talk challenging the belief that motivation is the key to lasting change. Drawing on her experiences in corporate leadership, caregiving, endurance sports, and personal reinvention, Robyn helps audiences discover that confidence isn't something you find, it's something you build through action. Her message is simple: you don't have to feel ready to begin; you just have to take the next step. Permission to Heal, with Rachel Abbett of Luminous and Grounded

If you've tried everything and still don't have answers, this one's for you. Rachel Abbett joins us to talk about what happens when conventional medicine hits a wall — and why the "medical anomalies" among us are often exactly who can crack the case. We dig into: Why persistence matters when you're the fourth call, not the first, and how to keep advocating for yourself when you've heard "it's all in your head" one too many times Why healing accelerates in community, not isolation (and a first look at Retreat 2026: Permission to Exhale) Why healing isn't about becoming someone new, it's about finding your way back to yourself, seen through the lens of energy and physics If you've been doing everything "right" and still aren't seeing results, Rachel's perspective might be the shift you didn't know you needed. Rachel Abbett is an Emotion Code® and Body Code® Practitioner and founder of Luminous & Grounded. Rachel helps clients clear emotional and energetic blocks that keep the body stuck in stress and dysfunction. Her work focuses on identifying the root causes behind physical symptoms, emotional overwhelm, and recurring patterns, through the use of applied kinesiology. Sessions are gentle, non-invasive, and designed to support the body’s natural ability to recalibrate and heal. Rachel brings a grounded, intuitive approach that clients find both efficient and deeply supportive. She works with individuals navigating chronic stress, persistent physical discomfort, and long-held emotional weight. Rachel offers sessions in person as well as through Zoom, phone and photo proxy. In this episode, our guest is Amy Clay, a licensed professional counselor with over 25 years in private practice and co-owner of Sunstone Counseling.
