Ep. 158 - The Juicy Gist (w/ Sierra Delaine)

Sierra Delaine says what she means and means what she says. She brings a curious, open-hearted energy to everything, from songwriting to building a bench literally because she CAN?? In this episode, Sierra teaches us a new word, ethnomusicology, the study of music in its cultural/ social context, and shares what she sees in the Cleveland scene through that lens. This fall, she's heading across the pond to London for a month and is featured on 'Beyond the Table', a collaborative album with Los P, Will Cherry, and Ben Ferrari spotlighting Cleveland’s artist workforce. Keep it locked on this gal, she is on the MOVE and you'll never be able to guess what she's got cooking up next! Thank you, Sierra! 🎶 SONGS PERFORMED: Deep DaisyKeep it Cute (unreleased)☎️ CONNECT WITH SIERRA: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sierra_delaine/Website: https://www.deepdaisy.com/home✅ CONNECT WITH LOCLE GROWN: TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loclegrownInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/loclegrown/Help shape our show: https://loclegrown.fillout.com/clevelandmusicscene🗣️MEET THE TEAM: Jordan Laird: https://www.instagram.com/hilairdious/Jordan Urban: https://www.instagram.com/jurbzzz/Danna O'Connor (A/V recording): https://www.instagram.com/coolbijou__/Jake Conder (Performance mix): https://www.instagram.com/cakejonder/🌟 Please leave us a rating or review! Ep. 157 - MaJORity Rules (w/ False Teeth!)

The Dog Funk General himself is back! This time he brought his Captain, Corporal, and Lieutenant, together known as False Teeth. These guys bring the best I Got Aux picks we’ve had yet, and they teach us a new game too (though sadly, we’re not sure we have what it takes to play Tall Boy Roulette these days). Their new single “Believe Me” is their first release since their 2025 debut album, Insufferable. They’ve got one more single coming before their EP drops at the end of the year, so follow False Teeth and stay tuned! 🎶 SONGS PERFORMED: BugsColder Than HellTonight I'll Be Staying Here With You (Bob Dylan cover)☎️ CONNECT WITH FALSE TEETH: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/false.teeth/Linktree: https://linktr.ee/FalseTeeth✅ CONNECT WITH LOCLE GROWN: TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loclegrownInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/loclegrown/Help shape our show: https://loclegrown.fillout.com/clevelandmusicscene🗣️MEET THE TEAM: Jordan Laird: https://www.instagram.com/hilairdious/Jordan Urban: https://www.instagram.com/jurbzzz/Danna O'Connor (A/V recording): https://www.instagram.com/coolbijou__/Jake Conder (Performance mix): https://www.instagram.com/cakejonder/🌟 Please leave us a rating or review! Ep. 156 - Freaky Geniuses (w/ Jared Horgan!)

Jared Horgan joins us to talk about Emotions, his first album made entirely on his own: writing, production, mastering, ALL of it. We get into how he fell into a few ghostwriting opportunities, why people crave authenticity these days, and treating social media like part of the job. Dude's already back in music-making mode with new projects cooking, but for now, go stream Emotions and be sure to follow Jared to see what's next! 🎶 SONGS PERFORMED: how would you feel???Settle DownUntitled // Unreleased Track!☎️ CONNECT WITH JARED: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jaredhorgan/Linktree: https://linktr.ee/jaredhorgan✅ CONNECT WITH LOCLE GROWN: TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loclegrownInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/loclegrown/Help shape our show: https://loclegrown.fillout.com/clevelandmusicscene🗣️MEET THE TEAM: Jordan Laird: https://www.instagram.com/hilairdious/Jordan Urban: https://www.instagram.com/jurbzzz/Danna O'Connor (A/V recording): https://www.instagram.com/coolbijou__/Jake Conder (Performance mix): https://www.instagram.com/cakejonder/🌟 Please leave us a rating or review! Ep. 155 - Hugs on the Rider (w/ Jake Conder)

Its another milestone episode for the LG team - two ways! First, our performance mixer, Jake Conder, shares how he went from a long-time Frank Turner fan to being asked to perform at Frank's Lost Evenings Festival in Dallas, TX this year.  Second, LoCLE Grown turns seven this week, so our A/V engineer, Danna, hopped on the mic, too, and we made this episode a whole party that included ghost stories, Calvin and Hobbes, and one of our fave games right now: I GOT AUX. Check out Jake's band Fruitfly with their newest single "Harder They Fall" feat. Jinari Kimet, and shoot, while you're at it, follow Danna's band Post Saga, too, and catch THEIR latest single "Time is Waiting". 🎶 SONGS PERFORMED: The 5/4 SongBill WattersonHow Much Can I Take?Sax ImprovThe Harder They Fall☎️ CONNECT WITH JAKE & FRUITFLY: Jake's IG: https://www.instagram.com/cakejonder/Fruitfly's IG: https://www.instagram.com/fruitfly_music/Listen to Harder They Fall: https://ffm.to/the-harder-they-fall✅ CONNECT WITH LOCLE GROWN: TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loclegrownInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/loclegrown/Help shape our show: https://loclegrown.fillout.com/clevelandmusicscene🗣️MEET THE TEAM: Jordan Laird: https://www.instagram.com/hilairdious/Jordan Urban: https://www.instagram.com/jurbzzz/Danna O'Connor (A/V recording): https://www.instagram.com/coolbijou__/Jake Conder (Performance mix): https://www.instagram.com/cakejonder/🌟 Please leave us a rating or review! Ep. 154 - The Flow is Flowin' (w/ Rey Ángel!)

Here at LoCLE Grown, we're on a mission to keep finding new, creative, inspiring musicians who own their uniqueness. Enter: Rey Ángel, who effortlessly balances spontaneity with intention, while always keeping things interesting. Rey prides himself on approaching music through the lens of how people experience it, and agrees that our always-changing weather plays a weirdly significant role in not just his creative process, but also in his release strategy. Ep. 153 - Boombox & Bongos (w/ Higher Nation!)

Higher Nation turned our studio into a party, showing up with not only good vibes, but also homemade muffins, merch, and the whole family! As 4-piece group consisting of cousins, lifelong friends, and a father & son, Higher Nation has the kind of chemistry you can't fake. With Greg's genre-blurring beats (Gotta Get You a Greg!) and Steve, Mario, and Lil Mario's high energy, everyone is invited to move and be unapologetically themselves when listening to their music. Be sure to give the guys a follow, and keep your eyes out for a new single coming soon! 🎶 SONGS PERFORMED: Pushin' ThruFunky BusRise UpFeel the LoveFlowSoulJAHFire Man☎️ CONNECT WITH HIGHER NATION: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/higher_nation/✅ CONNECT WITH LOCLE GROWN: TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loclegrownInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/loclegrown/Help shape our show: https://loclegrown.fillout.com/clevelandmusicscene🗣️MEET THE TEAM: Jordan Laird: https://www.instagram.com/hilairdious/Jordan Urban: https://www.instagram.com/jurbzzz/Danna O'Connor (A/V recording): https://www.instagram.com/coolbijou__/Jake Conder (Performance mix): https://www.instagram.com/cakejonder/🌟 Please leave us a rating or review! Ep. 152 - Be Cool Be Funny (w/ Kyle Haunhorst of the CLE Comedy Fest & Roast Battle!)

We're stepping into new territory with Kyle Haunhorst, an ambassador for the Cleveland comedy scene and one of the masterminds behind the Cleveland Comedy Festival and Roast Battle Cleveland. Kyle humors us (lol) with the basics: what makes a good room for stand up, the unspoken rules, and who's about to blow up in Cleveland comedy. Our big takeaway: like music, comedy is performance art, fart jokes and all (Cleveland's #4 in the nation for Roast Battle, by the way). Catch the Cleveland Comedy Festival 9/30 to 10/3: 19 local and national acts, plus a couple Roast Battles!
