What Is a Shamanic Journey? Real Experiences With Spirit, Healing & Other Realms

What is a shamanic journey, really? It's one of SpiritBird's oldest and most beloved practices — and it's rarely what people think it is.  In this solo episode, she takes you inside the practice:  what actually happens when you close your eyes, why the drum matters,  how it's different from the "shamanic sound healing" flooding the wellness space,  and how to work with the question that stops most people cold — am I just making this up?  Through real stories — her first-ever journey at twenty (and the strange thing her mother revealed afterward), a client quietly transformed by an unexpected visitor, and a journey to a realm she later saw depicted in pop culture — SpiritBird shows you what this practice can actually deliver.  What you might not expect is why the "is this real?" question is the very thing keeping you from the magic. 👉 Try The Sacred Reset — It's a 7-day practice that helps you reconnect to that sacredness, reconnect to yourself, and get out of that mundane and back into that sense of wonder. And one of the days, we do a shamanic journey — so if you're curious about journey, this is the easiest access point for it. It's a really beautiful practice that will help you get into that place immediately. https://pages.holtonhealingarts.com/the-reset

[Ep 118] How Spirit Speaks Through Dreams, Symbols & Synchronicities (And Why You've Been Missing It)

You've asked spirit for guidance and still catch yourself wondering: is this real, or am I just making it all up? How spirit speaks through dreams, symbols and synchronicities is rarely the way we've been taught to expect it. In this solo episode, SpiritBird breaks down the three primary languages spirit actually uses, the one mistake most people make when working with signs, and why the guidance you've been asking for may already be right in front of you. What you might not expect is that spirit isn't answering your questions with information at all. What if the reason you can't hear spirit isn't that spirit isn't speaking — but that you've been listening for the wrong language? You don't need more signs. You need to recognize the ones already arriving. 👉 Explore the Healing Journey — A grounded path for shifting the patterns underneath your reactions, so you can trust what you sense and hear spirit clearly instead of second-guessing every signal. https://holtonhealingarts.com/heal/

[EP 117] The Truth About Psychedelics: Why Psychedelics Don't Heal Everyone with John O'Connor

In this episode, SpiritBird sits down with John O'Connor — author and Boston College professor whose book A Short, Strange Trip traces the strange history behind psychedelic culture, the famous experiment in La Chorrera that inspired Terence McKenna's work, and the complicated relationship between psychedelics, mysticism, belief, healing, and human psychology — for an honest, nuanced conversation about the part of psychedelics most people avoid talking about: the meaning people attach to extraordinary experiences, and the very human desire to find transformation, healing, and truth. What you might not expect is why the medicine itself isn't the whole story. Learn more about John O'Connor and his work: https://www.johnmoconnor.com/ What if the medicine isn't what heals you — but what happens around the medicine is? The psychedelic doesn't do the work. You do. And the container you bring to it matters more than the substance itself. 👉 Explore the Healing Journey — Before you sit with the medicine, sit with yourself. [Ep 116] Masking in Neurodivergent Adults (And Why You Might Not Even Know You're Doing It)

In this episode, SpiritBird sits down with Kelley — a spirit communicator, cartomancer, and ritual craft practitioner who helps people connect with their Higher Self and spirit guides to cultivate a life they love — for a real conversation about when masking is actually a useful tool, when it's quietly hollowing you out, and the body cues that tell you the difference. What you might not expect is how often the small spoon is the whole point. What if the parts of you that feel "too much" are exactly what your soul came here to express? Masking has a way of dulling the very qualities you came here to live. 👉 Take the Archetypes Assessment - Discover your blind spot and the hidden pattern shaping how you show up (and where you've been hiding). https://pages.holtonhealingarts.com/whatsyoursacreddirection What if the version of you underneath the mask is the one you're finally ready to come home to? You don't have to keep performing your way through your own life. 👉 Explore the Healing Journey - A grounded path for shifting the patterns underneath your reactions, so your relationships, decisions, and energy can actually change. https://holtonhealingarts.com/heal/ 👉 Get to know more about Kelly - skelleycat.com

[Ep 114] Self Healing Journey: Why Rest Feels Harder Than It Should

A self- healing journey isn’t always about doing more — but what happens when you can’t seem to stop? You might tell yourself you’ll rest after one more task, one more goal, one more thing… but it never really happens. Even when you do slow down, your mind keeps going, or something inside you says you shouldn’t be resting yet. This episode looks at why that pattern feels so hard to break — and what might actually be underneath it. Because what’s keeping you stuck might not be what you think. You’ll feel: Less caught in the pressure to always be doing something just to feel okay More ease around the tension between rest and productivity A quiet shift in how you see your need for rest — and what it might really be asking for  If you were listening and thinking, “this makes sense… but I still don’t know why I can’t let myself rest” There’s usually a deeper pattern behind that. 👉 Take the Archetypes Assessment See which pattern you’re operating from — and why rest feels harder for you than it should.https://pages.holtonhealingarts.com/whatsyoursacreddirection If you know you need rest…but every time you try, your mind keeps going or something pulls you back into doing more — 👉 Start with The Emotional Reset A simple way to release the pressure in your system so slowing down actually starts to feel possible again. https://pages.holtonhealingarts.com/the-reset

[Ep 113]: How to Heal Yourself Emotionally: Why You Keep Getting Triggered and Repeating the Same Patterns

How to heal yourself emotionally when you keep getting triggered, shutting down, or taking things personally, even when you’ve already been doing the work. You try to understand yourself, you reflect, you grow… but somehow the same reactions keep showing up in real life.If that feels familiar, this episode is going to hit something deeper. We’re getting into why those reactions don’t actually come from where you think, and why inner child work doesn’t always change anything, even when it feels like it should. There’s a piece most people miss, and it’s the reason you can understand your patterns… but still feel stuck in them. You’ll feel: Less pulled into those fast, automatic reactions that make you feel like you’re back at the beginningMore at ease with the tension of “I’ve done the work… so why is this still happening?”A quiet shift in how you see your reactions, like there’s something you haven’t been shown yetIf you’re starting to see that your reactions aren’t coming from where you thought… and that insight alone isn’t changing them, that’s the gap most people never bridge. The Emotional Reset works at that level — the part that keeps the pattern running, even when you “know better.”It’s not about doing more work. It’s about shifting what’s underneath it.👉 Take a look here: https://pages.holtonhealingarts.com/the-reset

[Ep 112] Spiritually Transformative Experiences: When Your Old Way of Living Stops Making Sense

Have you ever done everything “right”… but still felt like your life no longer fits? Sometimes, spiritually transformative experiences don’t look dramatic — they feel like quiet exhaustion, heavy decisions, and that pull to trust your intuition even when logic says to stay the same. If you’ve been feeling disconnected, second-guessing yourself, or caught between responsibility and inner knowing, this conversation meets you right there. We talk about what moving from 3D to 5D actually feels like in real life. Listen to the episode and feel: Less entangled in the quiet pressure of trying to make the “right” decision all the time More ease around the tension between responsibility and what your inner knowing keeps asking for Clarity about what might already be changing within you, even if you can’t fully explain it yet If this reflection felt familiar — the heaviness, the pressure to manage everything, the quiet sense that life is asking you to release more than you add — you don’t need another system to hold it all together. The Emotional Reset was created for moments like this, when your mind feels overloaded and your nervous system is asking for clarity instead of more effort. 👉 Begin your reset here: https://pages.holtonhealingarts.com/the-reset
