Brain Health Revolution: Insights with Dr. Paul Bendheim

Send us FAN MAIL text, include your cell# for a reply BrainSavers and the New Dementia-Prevention Paradigm with Neurologist Paul Bendheim, MD Season eight of Villages Vitality Life: Seniors Life Unscripted features an interview with Paul Bendheim, MD, clinical professor of neurology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine–Phoenix and founder of BrainSavers, an evidence-based, multimodal brain-and-body fitness program aimed at reducing Alzheimer’s risk. Bendheim explains how the FINGER trial (about 1,200 participants) and the US POINTER trial (over 2,000, with diverse populations) shifted the old “inevitable decline” dogma by showing cognitive benefits from structured lifestyle interventions, with instructor-led groups outperforming self-directed approaches. He describes BrainSavers’ instructor-led, twice-weekly curriculum combining relaxation, cognitive-movement activities, physical exercise, memory techniques, and rotating lessons across six lifestyle pillars, emphasizing social connection. The discussion covers normal vs concerning forgetfulness, starting exercise from a sedentary baseline, treatable Alzheimer’s mimics, limited but real effects of approved monoclonal antibodies, vascular dementia overlap, neuroplasticity/cognitive reserve, and becoming one’s own “healthy brain quarterback.” 00:00 Season Eight Welcome 00:27 Meet Dr Paul Bendheim 00:59 FINGER And POINTER Explained 05:07 Why Brain Savers Started 07:33 Inside The Brain Savers Class 10:22 Starting From Sedentary 11:34 Alzheimers Tip Break 12:59 Memory Slips And MCI 14:24 World Brain Gym Activities 16:38 Book Title And Prevention 17:46 Treatable Mimics And Depression 19:31 Drugs And Lifestyle Power 22:52 Neurogenesis And Cognitive Reserve 25:25 Music And Daily Practice 26:17 Final Advice And Resources 28:01 Credits And Next Episode Villages Vitality Listeners, I've got some good news for you. Unlocking The Secrets of Longevity with Dr. Sandra Kaufmann

Send us FAN MAIL text, include your cell# for a reply Season 8: Dr. Sandra Kaufmann on Cellular Aging, NAD, Exosomes, and a Simple Supplement “Panaccea”  In the Season 8 premiere of Villages Vitality Life: Senior Life Unscripted, host Mike Roth talks with Dr. Sandra Kaufmann, a longevity medicine physician and author of The Kaufmann Protocol: Why We Age and How to Stop It and Aging Solutions, about aging from a cellular perspective and how to slow it through proactive, personalized strategies. Kaufmann explains her “seven tenets of aging,” why there is no single magic bullet, and why aging begins as early as 30–35 as key pathways and hormones decline. She outlines practical starting points (mindset, diet, exercise, addressing basic medical problems) and highlights NAD precursors (NR or NMN) as an accessible over-the-counter supplement to support energy and DNA repair. The conversation also covers tiered approaches to medicine, cancer risk as DNA repair failure, the role of peptides as accessories, and exosomes as a lower-risk, more effective regenerative option than stem cells. Kaufmann closes with her five-supplement “PANACCEA” stack (pterostilbene, astaxanthin, NAD precursor, bioavailable curcumin, and carnosine) and shares how to learn more via kaufmannprotocol.com and kaufmannlongevity.com. Unlocking Prostate Cancer Secrets with Dr. Stephen Scionti

Send us FAN MAIL text, include your cell# for a reply Unlocking Prostate Cancer Secrets with Dr. Stephen Scionti Prostate Cancer Diagnosis and Modern Focal Therapy Options with Dr. Stephen Scionti Season eight of Villages Vitality: Senior Life Unscripted opens with host Mike Roth interviewing Dr. Stephen Scionti, a board-certified urologist and founder of the Scionti Prostate Center, about modern prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment. Scionti explains diagnosis begins with a PSA blood test, followed by prostate MRI to assess enlargement and identify suspicious lesions, using MRI as a roadmap for biopsy. He recommends MRI-fusion targeted biopsy—preferably transperineal rather than transrectal—to improve accuracy and reduce infection risk. Treatment depends on risk: low-risk cancers may be monitored with active surveillance, while intermediate cancers may be treated with focal therapy to preserve urinary and erectile function. He outlines focal options including cryotherapy, HIFU, and MRI-guided TULSA, discusses candidacy (often Gleason 7, prostate-confined disease, sometimes with BPH), coverage differences between traditional Medicare and Medicare Advantage, and improved drug options for metastatic disease. The TULSA Procedure is currently available at more than 50 centers across the U.S., including several in Florida. Walking into the Future: Chris Raesly on Non-Surgical Knee Pain Relief

Send us FAN MAIL text, include your cell# for a reply SciMoTech Gait Modification Therapy: The “Invisalign for the Knee” for Non-Surgical Pain Relief   Walking into the Future: Chris Raesly on Non-Surgical Knee Pain Relief Host Mike Roth introduces Season 8 of Villages Vitality Life and interviews Chris Raisley, a physical therapist and clinical lead at Scientific Motion Technologies (SciMoTech), about a non-surgical gait modification therapy for knee pain. Raisley explains why the foot-worn device is compared to Invisalign: a custom “mod” is positioned on a SciMoTech shoe to retrain walking mechanics, redistribute forces through the kinetic chain, and reduce or eliminate pain. The device is worn indoors on level surfaces for 30–60 minutes daily, with balance screening required. An initial 1.5–2 hour assessment in Orlando uses a gait lab and iterative adjustments; qualifying patients take the device home and typically return about monthly, averaging five visits over a year. The program is out-of-pocket ($3,240) with a refund option up to eight weeks, and most assessed patients (80%+) proceed. SciMoTech may also address hip, foot/ankle, and some back considerations, and is recruiting patients with persistent pain after knee replacement. Results are based on an internal, 12-week IRB-approved clinical study and have not been published as peer-reviewed clinical research.   00:00 Season Eight Welcome 00:48 Meet Chris Raisley 01:32 Invisalign For The Knee 02:36 Inside The Foot Worn Device 05:09 How The Shoe Retrains Gait 05:53 Who Benefits Most 08:39 Beyond Knees Feet Hips Back 10:35 Safety And Balance Screening 12:52 Alzheimers Tip Break 14:04 Assessment And Gait Lab 15:48 Home Program Follow Ups 16:53 Cost Refund And Candidacy 18:31 Vs Orthotics And PT 20:21 Origins Research And Expansion 21:47 Patient Results And Why Gait Matters 25:20 After Knee Replacement Pain 26:50 How To Contact And Wrap Up 28:03 Supporters And Closing Credits Villages Vitality Listeners, I've got some good news for you.
