Steelers Sanctuary Podcast David Ribeiro

Episode 106 of the Steelers Sanctuary Podcast is out.  The episode starts out with a general overview of the Steelers draft.  Pittsburgh definitely stressed character, and athleticism in this draft.  They also used their top 30 visits as a way to determine draft picks.  Several of their picks came from this list.

Next we give out our grades for each selection.  As you might expect, the Steelers did very well in our grading system.  Top marks almost all around for this draft class.

The pod wraps up with a discussion about the potential signing of Cam Sutton.  Sutton was released by the Lions after a warrant for his arrest was issued in a domestic assault case.  So many questions to be hashed out about the Steelers apparent interest.

Episode 104 ofthe Steelers Sanctuary Podcast is out.  We start the pod out with some news just 24 hours before the NFL draft.  The Steelers have been linked to trading up for Quinyon Mitchell, and trading for Courtland Sutton.  We learned during the pod that the team cleared more than 7 million in cap space by restructuring Alex Highsmith.  We fully expect an exciting next couple of days.

Episode 103 of the Steelers Sanctuary Podcast is out.  This week we start the podcast off with a review of the Steelers pre-draft press conference.  Omar Khan and Mike Tomlin spoke to the media for the last time before the draft on Thursday.  Tomlin insisted the team filled the team’s major holes in free agency.  Dave and I strongly disagree with that statement..  Khan mentioned he was open to trading down, but “didn’t want to trade away from a good player.”

Next it’s on to our second live mock draft.  This one worked out extremely well.  We traded down to 28 with the Buffalo Bills and picked up pick number 60.  We still managed to get Jackson Powers Johnson at 28.  Tune in for the rest of our selections.  We think you’ll really like how this mock turned out!

Episode 102 of the Steelers Sanctuary Podcast is out.  The pod starts out with some talk about the offensive linemen in this draft.  Some of the top tackle prospects may be thought of as guards or even centers at the NFL level.  We discuss how this may affect the Steelers come pick 20.  

Next we review the final names for the Steelers pre-draft visits.  The big name of course is Graham Barton.  Tony Pauline had insinuated the Steelers might be interested, then 24 hours later he was in Pittsburgh for an official visit.  Barton must be among the few names likely to go first for the Steelers on draft night.  

The pod wraps up with a live mock draft.  As we go through the draft it becomes clear that things have broken perfectly for what the Steelers would want come the real draft next week.  Tune in to see who we picked.

Episode 101 of the Steelers Sanctuary Podcast is out.  We reached out to our go to draft expert Tony Pauline after his article had connected the Steelers with center prospect Graham Barton.  Pauline clarified his thoughts on the Steelers interest with the Duke center.
