Digging Up The Past Podcast

I enjoy the friendly tone of these episodes, which really bring the ancient world to life. I look forward to more listening!

Generally interesting subjects and guests. Thankfully, the podcast is presented from a historical and not ideological perspective. Unfortunately, most interviews are poorly done. The host often speaks more than guest expert- rambling narrative questions, unnecessary digressions and personal anecdotes are unnecessary and off putting.

I truly can’t wait for new episodes of Digging up the Past. It is a perfect mix of breadth of topics, depth of content, and very digestible. As the episodes stack up, they start to reference each other, which provides insight into Petros’s vast knowledge and a feeling that a picture is being painted in front of our eyes. Petros presents both, well known, and less known topics, but offers fresh takes on each. The episodes are rich with well researched information, cited sources, and encourage the listener to continue to deep dive into these topics after the episode. Sea peoples, Gilgamesh, Etruscans, The Odyssey, the Bible! Love the easter eggs and comedic nuggets that come through in each episode, too. It’s amazing how Petros is able to put this all together.

Excellent history podcast! Very in-depth and well researched. Cannot wait for more!
