From White Wash to White Out & Rob's Rams Get Rolled

Recorded on a weirdly quiet Sunday 1st February, no games being played, no Pro Bowl to fill up the air time. Just 2 guys talking about the Championship Games, Coaching Carousel and NFL Awards. Rob and Ralf discussed the NFL Pro Bowl format, suggesting opportunities for global advertising and comparing it to the NBA All-Star game. They tried to analyse the LA Rams' playoff loss to the Seattle Seahawks, attributing it to a muffed punt and consummate Seahawks play. They also dissected the New England Patriots' victory over the Denver Broncos, highlighting the impact of severe weather and the Patriots' coaching abilities. Then they critiqued recent coaching hires, specifically Mike McCarthy to the Steelers and the decisions made by the Bills. New new news on Coordinators being thrust into the Head Coaching limelight. Both participants predicted a Seattle Seahawks victory over the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl and offered their selections for several NFL awards, including Matthew Stafford for MVP, Christian McCaffrey for Comeback Player of the Year, and their preferences for Coach of the Year and various Rookie of the Year awards. As per usual some pod spice to mix things up, with Ralf getting a bit gung ho about the final score of the Super Bowl. Those Pats fans may have to hold onto their breeks. Bills in Tears, Seattle Doing the Business and Atlanta Make the Big Move

Recorded on Tuesday 20th January, Just when the boys thought they couldn't be more surprised by the NFL, it all goes off in Buffalo. Rob and Ralf discussed the NFL wild card weekend, noting a lack of upsets, with Rob specifically criticizing a controversial interception call in the Bills Broncos game that ultimately decided the outcome, which led to the surprise termination of Bills Head Coach Sean McDermott. This blew their tiny little podcasting minds. Nobody is safe. Zac Taylor must be sleeping with the lights on. He's last man standing in the AFC North. The boys analyzed the Bills' improved running game, the Broncos' offensive performance, and praised Frank Crumb as the "hobnob" award winner; Ralf also praised the Seahawks' dominance over the 49ers and critiqued the Texans' fragmented performance against the Patriots, while both of them correctly predicted the Rams' victory over the Bears despite flashes of brilliance from Caleb Williams. Rob and Ralf debated the harshness of Sean McDermott's firing and speculated on his next team, with Rob suggesting the Raiders and Ralf preferring the Brown. Then it was all about their championship game predictions, with Rob backing the underdog Rams and Patriots, and Ralf going against his earlier predictions and choosing the Seahawks and Broncos. It's almost Super Bowl time and there's no chance that The Chiefs will be there, even if Bad Bunny is the half time show. Thanksgiving Weekend and Eating Humble Pie

Recorded on Wednesday 3rd December, the boys took a look back at eventful Thanksgiving Weekend with plenty of pie to eat. Ralf and Rob Deacon reviewed the elongated Thanksgiving weekend of football, noting an increase in underdog victories and discussing the surprising Packers win over the Lions, with Ralf attributing the Lions' struggles to injuries and Rob Deacon expressing disappointment for his fantasy team. They detailed player performances in that game, the Lions' defensive struggles, and expressed concern about poor crowd attendance at several holiday weekend games. Ralf had to eat "humble pie" after the Cowboys' impressive win over the Chiefs, with them both noting Dak Prescott's elevated play, theorizing a potential link to a snap cadence change. They also incorrectly predicted the Bengals' victory over the Ravens, and discussed the Bears' significant upset win against the Eagles. Other game discussions included the Broncos' overtime win against the Commanders, the Panthers' upset victory over the Rams, an analysis of the NFC playoff picture and AFC consistency, a review of tight end fantasy points, and the awarding of some tasty biscuits, to some very deserving players. Finally, the boys made their Week 14 picks, where Rob had widened his lead in their picking competition, necessitating a shift in strategy for Ralf. Can he pull back some points shooting from the hip?
