    We recorded this episode in anticipation of the London International Animation Festival programme ‘Figures in Focus’ devised by Abigail Addison in recognition of the under-representation of female and non-binary animators and their stories within the independent animation sector. The panel was made up of Abigail Addison, Jessica Ashman, Efa Blosse-Mason, Silvana Roth and hosted by Hannah Lau-Walker. During this episode, we find out how ‘Figures in Focus’ was conceived and the experience of making short independent films by the filmmakers showcased in this year's programme. We kicked off the panel talking about first jobs and how they led our panellists to what they do today. We also spoke about entering the industry and film festivals, we think this episode is the perfect listen for anyone who’s recently graduated and not sure what the next steps are as well as those still studying and looking to prepare for life after education.
