This is BEFORE and DURING the repairs. Keep all receipts starting from this point and forward for your insurance for claim purposes and reimbursements.  4. **Call Professionals:** Contact a plumber or relevant professionals to assess and fix the issue. 5. **Mitigate Water Damage:** Use towels, buckets, or a wet-dry vacuum to minimize water damage until help arrives.
