Phang vs. Blanche - The Epstein Files Transparency Act Lawsuit Part Four

Apparently, the DOJ thought congressional silence was a good enough excuse to ignore federal law. In Part Four, I get into DOJ's latest excuses, Katie Phang's motion to hold Todd Blanche in contempt, and the Senate hearings where Epstein survivors testified about the department exposing their personal information. Blanche managed to find nine hours to interview Ghislaine Maxwell, but couldn't find time for survivors until his confirmation was on the line. And yes, the Senate confirmed him anyway. Phang vs. Blanche - The Epstein Files Transparency Act Lawsuit Part Three

The Department of Justice claimed it had complied with the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Katie Phang identified five alleged violations and asked a federal judge to intervene. In Part Three, I cover her motion for a preliminary injunction, DOJ's arguments for why she shouldn't be allowed to sue, Phang's response, and Judge Emmet Sullivan's decision to grant the injunction after DOJ failed to substantively address a single one of the five alleged violations. Phang vs. Blanche - The Epstein Files Transparency Act Lawsuit Part Two

After months of promises, missed deadlines, disappearing documents, and a release that somehow exposed victims while still leaving major questions about what DOJ withheld, journalist and attorney Katie Phang sued Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche over the Epstein files. In this episode, I get into the initial lawsuit complaint, and some embarrassing audio of Todd Blanch that I'm sure he wished didn't exist. Phang vs. Blanche - The Epstein Files Transparency Act Lawsuit Part One

After months of promises, missed deadlines, disappearing documents, and a release that somehow exposed victims while still leaving major questions about what DOJ withheld, journalist and attorney Katie Phang sued Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche over the Epstein files. In this episode, I get into Pam Bondi’s disastrous rollout, what the Epstein Files Transparency Act actually required, the records and redactions at the center of Phang’s lawsuit, and why DOJ is still arguing that it has already done enough.
