Argue In Peace

The best podcast I ever heard for widening my perspective. This is how we explore opposing ideas with respect and curiosity. This is everything we are missing in our culture today and the mode of exploration that I crave the most. The last time I had a conversation like this was outside of the US where I, a pro-Jesus/anti-religious person, sat in a beanbag store with the Kenyan store owner I had just met, who was a Muslim man who used to be Anglican yet wore his hair in dreadlocks (frowned on in Islam) and we just explored religious and social ideas in the exact same way for 3 hours. Upon coming home after that conversation, I wondered to myself why I couldn’t stop talking about the conversation I had with a stranger. It was because exploring opposing ideas in this way simply does not happen in society anymore. This podcast journey is the same kind of treasure I experienced that day in a beanbag store in Kenya.

I find this podcast rather interesting. Mainly because I am a James Sexton fan. I just find it hilarious that you have a rabbi there that doesn’t quote scriptures to back up any viewpoints of the Jewish faith. Sounds to me like being religious and knowing scripture are two different things.
