Founders Without Voices The Real Cost of Staying Quiet

Your voice is the difference between staying stuck and changing everything. In this powerful panel, female founders and leaders reveal what it really costs to speak up, be visible, and claim your authority — and why staying quiet can drain your health, happiness, relationships, and impact. At the heart of it all is a bigger question: what would happen if more women stopped waiting to be chosen, stopped masking their truth, and started sharing what they know now? This episode is for founders, creators, coaches, and anyone who knows they have something important to say but still needs the courage to say it. Perfect for anyone ready to step into visibility, own their message, and turn lived experience into meaningful change. Hosted by Jenni Parker Brown, Editor-in-Chief of Brand Runway, this conversation brings together cover star and communication and speaking coach Sarah Collins; podcast host Brad Walsh of Empowerography; emotional resilience expert Debbie McIntosh; next chapter architect AnYes van Rhijn; and feminine embodiment guide Kate Danaher. Together, they unpack what happens when women stop hiding and start leading with their own voices. You'll discover: Why confidence never comes first — it grows through action How to move from fear and self-doubt into clarity, visibility, and consistency Why real change is often quiet, gradual, and deeply personal The difference between resilience, restoration, reinvention, and transformation How speaking up can ripple outward into healing, leadership, and collective change Sarah shares how leaving behind 20 years in television production led her to build her own platform for other women to speak. Brad breaks down why visibility starts with doing the uncomfortable thing before you feel ready. Debbie speaks to the power of gentler healing, while AnYes challenges outdated ideas about retirement and the future of women over 50. Kate brings the conversation back to the body, showing why slowing down and listening inward is often where transformation begins. ----------------- Connect With Brad Website  IG  IG          LinkedIn  FB  FB Group YouTube ---------- Connect With Sarah Website:     Instagram LinkedIn   ---------- Connect with Kate Website  Facebook  LinkedIn  Instagram  ---------- Connect with AnYes  Website  LinkedIn  FB  IG Twitter  --------------------- Connect with Debbie Website  LinkedIn  ---------------------  About Brand Runway Media House: Brand Runway Media House positions founders as a category of one through editorial authority, The Runway Narrative Code™, and strategic ecosystem placement. Heard Before You’re Hired

She spent over twenty years in the rooms where communication actually matters. As a television producer at ITV and ITN, Sarah Collins briefed celebrities, handled sensitive case studies and prepared experts, spokespeople and public figures to speak on camera. She watched hands trembling with notes. She felt the gap between the time available and the support people genuinely needed. And she decided to do something about it. Now a speaking coach and media mentor, Sarah works with founders and organisations to help them use their voice — on camera, on stage, on podcasts, in the media — with the confidence and coherence that builds authority faster than almost anything else. In this conversation with Jenni Parker Brown, Sarah goes deep on why speaking is one of the most intimate acts of communication available to a founder. Why the nerves never fully go away — even for the most experienced people in the room — and why understanding that is actually one of the most liberating things a founder can know. Why actors who perform for a living often struggle most when asked to simply talk about themselves. And why authority is not claimed. It is heard. The conversation also moves through the full picture of what Sarah calls the communication ecosystem — image, energy, posture, gesture, presence — and connects with Jenni's own conviction that the most powerful first impression a founder makes is visual. What follows — the voice, the words, the message — either confirms or contradicts everything the image has already communicated. The conversation closes with a challenge. To Jenni, to every founder listening, to anyone who has been putting off showing up on video, on stage, on a podcast. Nobody is going to give you permission to use your voice. You have to give it to yourself. ------------------------------------------------------------ Connect With Sarah Website: https://sarahcollinscoaching.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sarahcollins_coachconsultant/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/sarahcollinscoaching/ ---------- Brand Runway Media House positions founders as a category of one through editorial authority, The Runway Narrative Code™, and strategic ecosystem placement. Brad Walsh: The Man Who Gives Women the Stage — and Why He'll Never Stop

There are conversations that inform. And then there are conversations that shift something in the room. This is the latter. Brad Walsh — founder of Empowerography, photographer, women's advocate and one of the most quietly extraordinary men in the female founder space — returns to The Runway Edit for a conversation that Jenni describes as "bigger than a podcast." And she is not wrong. In six and a half years, Brad has interviewed over 800 women. His podcast sits in the top 1.5% globally. He has hosted conferences, retreats and networking sessions. He has built, as he puts it, not a podcast but a global movement — one whose foundation is entirely, deliberately, uncomplicatedly about amplifying and elevating the voices of women. Hosted by a man. That distinction matters. And Brad knows exactly why. The conversation begins with origins — photography, corporate life, a boudoir photographer in Florida who changed everything, and a leap of faith that turned into 800 episodes. But it doesn't stay there. Brad talks about the eight common threads he has found across hundreds of conversations with women — and two that dominate above all others. The crumbs pattern: the deeply conditioned tendency of women to put everything else first, leaving nothing for themselves. And the systems problem: the structures built by men for men, that have spent decades telling women they are the problem when the systems themselves are what need changing. Then the conversation goes somewhere unexpected. The Salem witch trials. Not as a historical footnote. As a live lesson about what happens when women accumulate wealth and power — and what narratives get constructed to take it away from them. Brad's clarity on this is remarkable. His willingness to name it, as a man, even more so. And then the challenge he lays down to everyone in the room, whatever their gender: Stop blaming each other. Conversation is the catalyst for change. Pull the lessons from the past — don't bury them, but don't let them keep you stuck either. Come together. That's the only way forward. At the foundation of everything Brad has built are two women. His mother, who left a fifteen-year marriage with nothing but the clothes on her backs of her boys. His grandmother, who stepped in when she had to. Without them, he says, there is no Empowerography. This is his thank you. And it is one of the most generous, most honest, most unexpected conversations The Runway Edit has ever hosted. Conversation is the catalyst for change. Come and listen. ------------------------------------------------------------ Connect With Brad Website IG – https://www.instagram.com/empowerographypodcast          https://www.instagram.com/visuphoria_photography  LinkedIn FB FB Group Youtube ---------- Brand Runway Media House positions founders as a category of one through editorial authority, The Runway Narrative Code™, and strategic ecosystem placement. The High Ticket Woman's Path to Financial Sovereignty

There are guests who arrive on the runway with credentials. And then there are guests who arrive with a story so compelling, so hard-won and so completely their own that the credentials become almost incidental. Dr. Tania King-Mohammad is both. A former NHS radiologist who walked away from medicine — from burnout, from being the only radiologist in a huge hospital, from watching senior colleagues arrive before she started and leave after she'd gone — and rebuilt her entire life from scratch. Property first. Then the online space. Then the realisation that changed everything: she was charging three times the industry average and people were coming to her easily. Not despite the price. Because of it. That realisation became a movement. The High Ticket Woman Movement. And Tania became the High Ticket Sales Queen — a title she wears with the particular confidence of someone who has genuinely lived the philosophy she teaches. In this conversation, Jenni and Tania cover everything that matters. The NHS exit and what burnout actually feels like from the inside. Not dramatic. Slow, insidious, until the day it simply could not continue. Tania was born to help people — but she was also born for freedom. Location independence. The ability to choose. The NHS, for all its extraordinary work, couldn't give her that. Standard as a philosophy, not a tactic. When Tania spoke at Women Thrive, one word leapt out. Standard. It defines everything she teaches — not as a bar to reach but as a baseline to build from. Why women have been programmed to undercharge. This is Tanya's central disruption and she delivers it without apology. Female entrepreneurs have been indoctrinated to undersell, underprice and undervalue. Illogical income and illogical lifestyle. Tanya's language is deliberately provocative. Not six figures. Not passive income. Illogical. The income that looks impossible from where you're standing right now. No hierarchy. A longer table. What stays with you longest from this conversation is not the strategy or the sales philosophy. It's the image Tania returns to again and again — building a longer table. Walking shoulder to shoulder. Taking everyone along. And then the closing. Asked what she would say through a megaphone to every ambitious woman in the world, Tania didn't hesitate. Stop playing small. You've got one life to lead. We do not get a rehearsal. Don't plan your dreams for the future. Go and do it now. ------------------------------------------------------------ Connect With Tania Website: https://www.taniakingmohammad.com/  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/freedomwithtania  LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/Taniakingmohammad  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/taniazahra.santos The High Ticket Circle: https://freedomwithtania.kartra.com/page/highticketcircle2  The 7 Figure Standard: https://freedomwithtania.kartra.com/page/the-7figure-standard  ---------- About Brand Runway Media House: Brand Runway Media House positions founders as a category of one through editorial authority, The Runway Narrative Code™, and strategic ecosystem placement. Thriving and What Women Were Always Designed For

Some runways put designer collections of the most gorgeous clothes onto the runway. Brand Runway puts designer collections of the most world-changing ideas onto it. This is the first ever Runway Authority Sessions — a bi-monthly conversation that follows each Spotlight edition, bringing the magazine's contributors and cover stars into the same room to take the conversation further than any single article ever could. In this session, Jenni Parker Brown is joined by four exceptional women who between them have spent decades working at the intersection of human potential, business authority and the particular challenges facing women who refuse to become invisible. Mari Smith — the Queen of Facebook, Brand Runway Spotlight's cover star, and one of the most trusted voices in social media globally — brought her now-signature conviction that the future of marketing is profoundly, irreversibly human. Not algorithmic. Not optimised. Human. After nearly two decades at the forefront of social media, that conclusion carries considerable weight. ----- AnYes van Rhijn — next chapter architect for women who have outgrown the lives they built — brought the architectural precision of her work: the idea that we cannot design a next chapter that truly fits until we have seen clearly what is already there, and understood whose choices built it. You cannot fix a structural problem by rearranging the furniture. The whole conversation pivoted on that line. ----- Karen Goodchild — Frequency-Led Living and Leadership mentor and founder of The Frequency Factor® — brought the deeper layer underneath the trust recession everyone is talking about. Not just the distrust of institutions and experts, but the slow, quiet erosion of trust in ourselves. The capacity to hear our own knowing clearly, underneath all the noise we have accumulated. ------ Sabrina Victoria — founder of Her Nation Global, TEDx speaker, and the show's special guest star — brought the community conviction that has underpinned everything she has built: that we move faster together, that thriving is not a solo endeavour, and that finding your people — the 4% willing to do the inner work — is one of the most commercially and personally significant decisions a founder can make. ----- The question driving the whole conversation was deceptively simple: how are we actually designed — as humans, as women — to thrive? What unfolded was not a panel discussion. It was a genuine, organic revelation and kindred  desire to bring change — the kind that happens when original thinkers stop performing for an audience  start actually talking to each other and realising what they have in common and what really matters now. This is the human way. Come and listen. Authenticity - BS? Or Branding?

Kim Antrobus left a 20-year career in law for branding — and brought zero patience for hyped-up marketing clichés with her. In this no-holds-barred episode, marketing disruptors Jenni and Kim talk about why "authenticity" has become a meaningless, overused word in marketing — and why being yourself online was never the competitive edge everyone claims it is. They cover the difference between authenticity and identity, why personal branding alone won't get you paid without proper business foundations behind it, and why your brand is allowed to evolve as much as you do as a person. Kim also outlines the actual evolution of business growth as ‘just baby steps not instant leaps’. Funny, fast-moving, irreverent and refreshingly honest about what's actually broken in the current online marketing landscape, and how to fix it! Kim Antrobus is the founder of Next Level Woman and an award-winning marketing and visibility strategist. She helps ambitious entrepreneurs build visibility that creates demand, recognition and income by amplifying what makes them magnetic. Currently studying an MSc in Organisational and Business Psychology, Kim writes regularly, reshaping the marketing landscape for modern business owners. She also runs Next Level Woman HQ, a women's networking community with online and in-person sessions in Southport. Kim lives in Southport with her husband, four children and her two dogs. 'The Student Maketh the Master' and women leaders too!

She started her community at $11 a month with a pitch that went something like: "Hey, — do you know what you're doing? Because I don't either. Do you want to meet on Mondays and just help each other?" That was the beginning of Her Nation Global. A mighty media platform dedicated to female leadership that is claiming a very distinctive place globally. Today, the powerhouse that is Sabrina Victoria runs a media agency, a digital magazine, a podcast, a thriving Facebook community of over 3,000 women, and a membership programme focused on helping women reach the quarter-million mark in revenue. She has spoken at TEDx. She is building towards brick-and-mortar locations. And she is, without question, one of the most disarmingly honest voices in the female entrepreneurship space. In this conversation, we go everywhere. The $11 community and what honesty built. Sabrina's early pitch — "I don't know what I'm doing, do you want to meet on Mondays?" — attracted the exact women she needed. Ego as the enemy of growth. The moment you decide you are the expert in the room is the moment you stop learning. Sabrina's practice of playing the student — even when she is demonstrably not one — has taken her further, faster, than any front ever could. The hierarchy problem. In the UK it shows up as cliques. In the US it shows up as constant hustle dressed up as empowerment. Both are exhausting. Who you are versus what you do. The job title is not the answer. The pitch is not the answer. The real answer is harder to find and infinitely more magnetic when you do. Starting when you're overwhelmed. There is never a good time. The overwhelm does not clear. So the best time to begin anything — a business, a health practice, a new chapter — is right now, in the middle of the mess. The bird. You will have to listen out for this one. All we will say is: sometimes the universe makes its point physically. And sometimes a stranger's wife smears it around with a wet wipe. The vision. Stages. Physical locations. Women actually in the same room, working, networking, building. Her Nation Global is heading somewhere tangible — and Sabrina's energy when she talks about it makes you want to be there when it happens. ---------- Sabrina Victoria is the founder of Her Nation Global — a media ecosystem, membership community and movement built around one mission: helping women get seen, heard and paid. Mari Smith: Marketing, Humanity and What Comes Next

Mari Smith is known as the Queen of Facebook. She is also something more — a researcher, a relationship marketing pioneer, and a woman who has spent two decades doing something almost nobody else manages: staying trusted, staying relevant, and staying herself. The OG days and what we lost. Mari reflects on what it felt like when social media was simple — when you could reach thought leaders and build real friendships. And what happened when scale made that impossible. The frustration nobody admits to. What does it feel like to be the world's foremost Facebook expert when Zuckerberg keeps reinventing the platform? Mari is refreshingly honest — and explains how human design gave her the tools to stop trying to drink the entire internet. The relationship marketing premise that never left. Published in 2011, The New Relationship Marketing contained a premise that has outlasted every algorithm update. Human design and the marketing revolution nobody expected. If two-thirds of the world respond to yes/no questions rather than commands, what does that mean for every call to action you have ever written? It means quite a lot. The urgency problem. Countdown timers. Midnight deadlines. Run to the back of the room. Mari calls it out — urgency-driven marketing creates emotional decisions that lead to regret. There is another way. The Human Movement. Mari connects the dots between algorithmic manipulation and the growing pull back toward analogue connection, in-person gatherings, and the radical act of being present without a device. The feminine era. February 2027 marks the beginning of a 412-year cycle. The feminine energy is reclaiming sovereignty. And the role of women in thought leadership is about to matter more than it ever has. Mari Smith has been at the intersection of social media, relationship marketing and human potential for nearly two decades. She is the author of The New Relationship Marketing, a sought-after speaker and corporate consultant, and one of the most trusted voices in Facebook marketing globally.
