Howdy y’all, thanks for joining me today! I hope everyone is enjoying summertime and making the most of it - even possibly squeezing in a trip or two? We sure did and our next destination was quite unexpected, a late decision made for a place on the list but not too far up there really but the feedback: absolutely delightful. Torres del Paine (Patagonia)

Today is a happy day because I am FINALLY releasing a story that’s long overdue, one to be honest I thought may never be. This experience left me speechless for months and unable to describe it really, and took quite some time to find the words worthy enough to describe our experience as this trip was incredibly special yet also so very mentally, physically and emotionally challenging. Experience 1 Hotel Nashville

Welcome back to Pieces of Travel & thank you for sticking with me thus far as I navigate this new platform and craft. Hopefully you've been enjoying the content. If you don't follow me on Instagram yet, please go check out my page as I post relative content to the stories/episodes that are published! This episode is going to be a slightly different experience as it's focused on a specific product - a luxury hotel in fact. 1 Hotel Nashville was my first 5 star hotel and it did NOT disappoint, even with the minor snafus of the building. I really encourage a stay whether it's a staycation for a night or a full week/month/whatever you can afford. The atmosphere immediately rejuvenates you, it feels like you've taken a trip to the spa without actually going to the spa, if you can imagine that. Since the only music I listened to on this trip was at the Post Malone concert, I've gathered some of my favorite songs that sound like the music you would hear in a spa, these songs give me a similar feeling as the room gave. Experience The Off Beaten Path

Why don’t you come on along and experience Big Bear Mountain camping! As the title suggests, we will be going off the beaten path and off-roading to get there, plus paying close attention to sights, feels, smells, and sounds of the mountain. Since the group was going for a calmer, more zen weekend we didn’t listen to music while at the campsite so the playlist for this episode was curated and inspired by the drive up and artists that create music that really resonates and reminds me of camping and being one with nature. Kauai

Today is a very special day because you are going to land in the most magical place, Kauai, Hawaii! We are going to visit a handful of great grub spots, get up close and a little personal with lots of wildlife, take a helicopter tour of the island, attend a luau, and so much more! I can’t decide which is more exciting: swimming with turtles or boating alongside dolphins but the real highlight is an engagement! The music from Doug and Sandy was heard live during the trip right in the heart of Hanalei’s community center one warm breezy evening. Some artists on the playlist are local, while other songs were picked from a self-curated “Island Tunes” playlist that was on repeat during the trip, or purely because the song really reminds me of Kauai. Come and explore Downtown Seattle, Washington with me! We will be walking the city, going to well known attractions, visiting lots of coffee shops, and experiencing a swanky boutique hotel - I'd say the hotel could be the highlight of the trip overall for the coolness factor and affordability. Since this episode was a backlog from a trip taken in 2020, I curated the music based on the vibe of Downtown Seattle solely, while incorporating local musicians and bands. Valle de Guadalupe

Come along to explore Valle de Guadalupe, Baja California, Mexico with me! We will be sightseeing, exploring restaurants, admiring local design, and enjoying sights and sounds of the desert. The highlight of this trip is the experience of staying at a unique glamping site, Casa Misiones, which was so cool - I highly recommend trying out glamping if you haven’t yet and Valle is a great place to start. Tulum

Hello travelers, and welcome to the first official episode of Pieces of Travel! Today you are going to walk with me down the streets of Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico. The highlight of the trip is hard to pinpoint because it was all so nice, but I'd have to say either dining at the fancy BAK Restaurant (what an experience) or seeing Pablo Escobar’s house are both at the top of the list. Along with that we will be taking day trips, exploring neighborhoods, visiting well-known landmarks, admiring local architecture influence, and enjoying sounds of the jungle. Music for this episode was curated while walking down the road of Tulum Beach, and inspiration from local artists who blend contemporary music with traditional elements.
