    15. growing in a global mental health crisis

Welcome back to the latest episode of the growing together podcast! It's been awhile, as Maddie and I had a stressful few months of studying and exams. We decided to take a break for a bit, so this episode is a little dated. However, the topic of mental health is still extremely relevant, and we aimed to grow the conversation around its causes as well as strategies to cope. If you are struggling with mental health and find it triggering to talk about or listen to, we would advise that you skip over this episode for today and look back on some of our previous ones. We have attached a list of mental health resources below the time stamps as well as a link to the Coursera course Maddie was referring to at the beginning of the episode. Please enjoy, and remember to take care of your mental health! 1:30-what we've been up to 3:50-new discoveries 8:25-causes of the crisis and our solutions (plus a couple of rants about society) 40:43-pinterest quotes mental health resources suicide hotline: 988 LGBTQIA+ support: The Trevor Project veterans' support: US Department of Veterans Affairs Mental Health Services general support: National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) maddie's coursera course
