    The Question I'm Sitting With

I wanted to share an overarching question I’ve been sitting with lately. Maybe you can relate or find this supportive on your path right now. The question is posed in a way to invite in clarity over time, not as something that you’d have an immediate answer to. But maybe you’ll find some parts of the answer could be clear now, and perhaps more clarity reveals itself with time. Maybe you write it down and come back to it often as a way to continue opening up to clarity. Maybe you use it as a point of conversation with a trusted friend. How do I create a life for myself that is stable, secure, purposeful and real inside a currently very unstable and unsteady world that doesn’t seem to honor what is real? When I ask myself this question, I also recognize that there have been many times in the history of the world when people have had to do just that - create meaning and steadiness within something chaotic. Perhaps that is all we are ever doing whether we fully recognize it or not. We just happen to be in a time where a massive paradigm shift is happening and the lack of stability feels more obvious. But that’s what I’m sitting with right now. Asking for clarity around this. Asking to receive just one step at a time to move me towards this goal. I find myself being really protective of myself and taking my time with my choices. Like I’m sitting back and really feeling into them. It’s like I won’t allow myself to say yes to something that I can feel just really isn’t a yes. And that’s a new way of operating. I’m allowing my body and my feeling to override the mind. What do I want to buy into and what do I not? What truly resonates and what does not? I’m also asking what are my possible blocks around this goal? What am I believing that may be creating a block? Are there any loose ends I need to tie up somewhere? It can feel like a lot, so it’s best to just take little pieces at a time. This is something a person can be working with for years, so it’s best to carry this with you lightly and allow it to be a compass without pressure or force. I heard this wisdom a while ago and it really resonated with me: A plane is off course most of the time, it’s the tiny adjustments along the way that allow it to arrive at it’s destination. It may be helpful to think of your path in this way as well. Get full access to Questioning Kate at katekane.substack.com/subscribe
