Why Choosing Yourself Still Feels Wrong: The Hidden Grief of Becoming

In this episode, I’m reflecting on the hidden emotional landscape of becoming. I share what has been unfolding within me as I’ve learned to reclaim my own life, trust my inner guidance, and navigate the unexpected guilt that can surface when you stop living for everyone else. Together, we’ll explore why growth isn’t always celebrated, what it means to release old conditioning, and how learning to trust yourself often requires letting go of the need to be understood.  I also pull a tarot card as a reflective lens, allowing it to illuminate what this season of becoming has been teaching me about self-trust, inner validation, and choosing the thoughts that nourish the person I’m becoming.  If you’ve ever found yourself wondering, “Am I doing the right thing, or am I just being selfish?”—this conversation is for you. In this episode, we explore: Why choosing yourself can feel surprisingly uncomfortable, even when you know it’s the right path. The hidden grief that often accompanies becoming a fuller version of yourself. Why old feelings of guilt and self-doubt can resurface as you begin honoring your own needs. The difference between external validation and inner knowing. How people-pleasing can make your growth feel confusing—to both you and the people around you. Learning to trust the quiet voice within, even when your path isn’t understood by everyone else. Thank you for spending this time with me. I hope this conversation reminds you that becoming isn’t always loud or celebrated—but that doesn’t make it any less sacred. The Wisdom of the Nine of Pentacles: Devotion to a Self-Created Path

In this episode, I share what surfaced for me while lunar journaling under the Cancer Moon — a time that always brings me deeper into questions around direction, purpose, and the meaning of being seen. As someone with Cancer energy sitting across my 9th and 10th houses, I’ve been reflecting on what it truly means to follow my own path, to define success on my own terms, and to honor a calling that doesn’t fit into conventional structures.  As I wrote beneath that moon, old memories came up, moments from my early years when I didn’t feel mirrored, guided, or deeply seen for who I was. I realized how that lack of reflection shaped my lifelong search for meaning and belonging. But through that journey, I discovered that I was never meant to walk a linear path. I was meant to build my own philosophy, to create my own garden, and to let my life become an extension of my natural expression.  I also pull a tarot card — the Nine of Pentacles — and explore how its wisdom mirrors what I’m living. It reminds me to slow down and savor what’s already blooming, to find richness in the present moment, and to trust that joy and devotion are part of my purpose. The Nine of Pentacles teaches that beauty itself can be a path of awakening, and that the art of becoming isn’t about striving, it’s about embodying the life your soul came here to create.  TO WORK WITH ME 1:1, visit my Stan Store: https://stan.store/breannaxdanielle Xo always — Bre
