It's All About Healing

Robin Black

We share how faith steadied the chaos and why healing is less about being fixed and more about being found. You’ll hear the heart behind our mission, the growing global community, and how poetry, coaching, and candid conversations turn silent tears into words that help others breathe again. We open up about spiritual detours that promised comfort but delivered confusion, from tarot and crystals to the myth that strength means carrying it alone. What changed everything was staying in God’s Word and staying honest with God—letting Him meet us in the mess, make crooked paths straight, and grow wisdom over time. That shift from double-mindedness to steady trust didn’t happen overnight. It unfolded through prayer, scripture, fellowship, and the brave act of telling the truth about what still hurts. If you’re navigating grief, toxic relationships, financial pressure, or the slow work of rebuilding after setback piled on setback, this podcast is for you. We talk practical resilience, spiritual maturity, and why your testimony matters more than you think. Our community now spans 118 countries, proof that real stories travel and that healing accelerates when we carry one another. Raining Fire (Spoken Word): Episode 391

Send us Fan Mail You can feel it when a message refuses to negotiate with comfort. We dig into a hard, clarifying theme: God’s judgment, His justice, and His mercy all belong in the same sentence, and sin is never a small issue that time simply erases. If you’ve ever wondered how a loving God can also judge, we walk straight into that tension and ask what it means for everyday faith, repentance, and salvation.  From there, we widen the idea of “the flesh” beyond the usual categories. We talk about emotions, wants, and the simple pleasures that can quietly become a rival devotion, then confront the blunt claim that we cannot love God and love the world at the same time. Using the warning language around Sodom and Gomorrah, we look at how pride and ego shape behavior, and why spiritual drift often starts with what we excuse, not what we fear.  We also lean into biblical prophecy and end times urgency, including vivid imagery of fire, destruction, and renewal, plus the sense that the world is moving toward a final reckoning. Scripture anchors the hope: Jeremiah 33:3 invites us to call on God for wisdom beyond human understanding, and Colossians 1:13–14 points to deliverance from the domain of darkness into the kingdom of Christ through redemption and forgiveness.  If this challenges you, don’t brush it off, sit with it. God's Innocent Souls (Spoken Word): Episode 390

Send us Fan Mail Some pain feels so wrong that your mind keeps searching for a reason, a lever you could pull, a sentence that could make it make sense. We go straight into that raw space where innocence is stolen, families are shattered, and the people who were supposed to protect instead caused harm. This is a faith-centered reflection on grief, child loss, and the spiritual nausea that comes from seeing real evil up close. We turn to Scripture not as a quick fix, but as a place to breathe. Ephesians 3:19 reminds us that God’s love can surpass knowledge, and Proverbs 3:5 challenges us to trust when understanding collapses. We also wrestle with the uncomfortable call to pray for enemies and what it means to ask God to deal with hearts that seem consumed by darkness. If you’re looking for Christian grief support, comfort after tragedy, or Bible verses for loss, these words are meant to meet you where you are. From there, we talk about what remains: memories that death cannot touch, the strength God gives the suffering, and the slow work of learning to grow with pain instead of being defined by it. We close with a prayer drawn from Psalm 147:3 for healing, peace, and the courage to let go of what we cannot control. If this resonates, subscribe, share it with someone who’s grieving, and leave a review so more people can find support when they need it most. Used Against Me (Spoken Word): Episode 389

Send us Fan Mail Some nights don’t feel dramatic, they feel endless: the same doubts, the same tears, the same quiet fear that you’ve gone too far to be forgiven. We start there, with a simple but fierce prayer that names the pain out loud and asks for help without pretending we have it together. If you’ve been carrying shame, uncertainty, or spiritual exhaustion, this conversation meets you with honesty and a way forward. We talk about choices and consequences with zero fluff, including how “easy pleasures” can slowly build a fragile mind. When discipline wears thin, distractions get loud, and vulnerability can be twisted into confusion and worthlessness. We also frame the battle in spiritual warfare terms, not to sensationalize it, but to make one point clear: isolation is dangerous, and trying to live on your own strength eventually breaks you. Then we pivot to identity and recovery. We refuse to identify with the darkest labels, we remember we are chosen, and we treat wounds as part of the story God can shape into purpose. The closing insight is the anchor: repentance stays powerful, and even the guilt that lingers can become a compass pointing back toward goodness, forgiveness, and direction. Breaking The Scarcity Downward Spiral (Biblical Motivation): Episode 388

Send us Fan Mail Lack rarely announces itself as a big crisis. Most of the time it whispers, “You don’t have enough,” and then it keeps talking until it rewrites your whole day. We walk through how a scarcity mindset can start with financial stress and quickly snowball into a chain reaction: harsh self talk, old relationship pain, shame, and that heavy feeling of moving through life on autopilot with no motivation. If you’ve been stuck in anxiety or low grade depression, you’ll recognize how fast the mind can turn missing money into missing hope. We also bring the conversation back to faith, Christian healing, and spiritual growth through two anchor passages. Mark 9:24 gives language for the real inner conflict many of us carry: “I believe; help my unbelief.” We talk about why that kind of honest prayer matters when you’re struggling with doubt, and how God can use believers to support people who feel their faith running thin. If you’ve ever felt guilty for having fear, this is a gentler, truer way to approach it. From there, we connect Mark 4:40 and the story of Peter on the water to everyday life: storms hit, fear rises, and the moment we start doubting is often the moment we start sinking. We share a practical reset for financial anxiety and scarcity thinking: returning to God as provider, strength, and counselor, then laying burdens down instead of carrying them alone. If this helped you, subscribe, share it with a friend who’s overwhelmed, and leave a quick review so more people can find it. How To Hold On When Life Feels Heavy (Biblical Motivation)

Send us Fan Mail Some mornings you wake up smiling, and other mornings you feel like you’re barely keeping your head above water. Today I’ll be sharing a short, faith-centered message for anyone carrying heavy fear, worry, sorrow, or the quiet thought of “I can’t do this anymore.” I lean into Scripture like John 16:33 and Matthew 5:45 to name a hard truth: trouble touches everyone, and expecting a pain-free life can set us up for deep discouragement when reality hits.  We get honest about what weighs us down, from the weight of sin to broken relationships, illness, and the stress that makes you want to give up. I talk about the false promise of the “easy way out,” and why it often makes things harder in the long run. Then we pivot to the hope that holds: God strengthens us in ways we didn’t even know we had, especially when we don’t have the answers and our hearts feel worn thin.  If you’ve been feeling unwanted, unseen, or low in self-worth, this is a reminder that you’re not forgotten. I reflect on Galatians 6:9 and the call to keep doing good without growing weary, plus the grounded idea that faith and action belong together. The goal is healing that lasts: spiritual resilience, steadier thoughts, and the courage to step out of a mental prison of fear.  If this encouraged you, subscribe, share it with someone who’s struggling, and leave a quick review so more people can find this message. Good morning, and Gratitude to Chicago!!

Send us Fan Mail Places we enjoyed: Cilantro Taco GrillCatina Mexican Grill (located on the Navy Pier in front of Seadog boat tour)Honeybear CafeSeadog Architecture tour (Ask for Ryan as your tour guide!!)Chicago is beautiful, busy, and full of surprises and sometimes the biggest surprise is the help you didn’t even know you needed. We’re coming off an amazing weekend trip, and I’m sharing the moments that made it unforgettable, from family time and a late Mother’s Day gift to the pure “wow” factor of being at Navy Pier with endless things to do. If you love uplifting stories that mix real life with spiritual reflection, you’ll feel right at home here.   We also get into one of my favorite Chicago travel experiences: the Sea Dog architectural tour. It’s part history lesson, part comedy show, and then suddenly it’s a speedboat ride that will wake you all the way up. I talk about what made the tour so fun, why it’s worth your time whether you do the full ride or the shorter option, and the honest truth about the weather. If you’re searching for Chicago travel tips, Navy Pier recommendations, or the best architecture boat tour ideas, this will help you plan smarter.   But the heart of the conversation is bigger than travel. I share how we ran into Nicole, a veteran and nurse, who helped us figure out exactly which train to take and what to do next. It felt like a clear example of how God places people in your path at the right time, and it pushed me to reflect on gratitude, faith, and counting blessings even when they seem small.   If this story encourages you, subscribe so you don’t miss what’s next, share it with someone who could use a lift today, and leave a review to help more listeners find the show.
