The honorable Judge Marilyn Milian presides over the four-time Emmy award winning "The People’s Court." For more than two decades, Milian has dispensed justice and provided legal insight in the courtroom where justice and reality collide. And now, you can take the show on the go with "The People’s Court Podcast." "The People’s Court Podcast" draws on ordinary people who have filed grievances in civil court and have opted to have their cases heard and mediated by Judge Milian. Running the gamut from disputes between neighbors and family members, to dissatisfied customers suing businesses, Milian's decisions – based on current law – are final and binding. Joining Milian is multiple Emmy Award-winning investigative reporter Harvey Levin, who serves as the series’ host and legal reporter. In the courtroom, Milian is joined by court officer Douglas McIntosh. Doug Llewelyn interviews litigants after a decision has been rendered in their cases.

    'Indecent Signals' & 'Neighborhood Bully' & 'Drip or Drown'

    First, the plaintiff says the defendant broke the turn signal in her car and refuses to pay for proper repairs. She is suing for the cost to fix the damage. The defendant says they had been dating for about two months and were having sex in her car the night the turn signal broke. He claims it was the plaintiff’s leg that hit the lever “in the throes of passion.” Then, the plaintiff is suing her neighbor for vet bills after the defendant’s dog allegedly attacked her poodle. The defendant says shortly after moving in, the plaintiff came to her door with a chain saw, threatening to cut her dog in half. As for the incident in question, she claims her insurance already covered the medical bills and considers the matter closed. Plus, the plaintiff says her neighbor’s improperly installed air conditioner caused water to drip into her home and flood her bedroom. She is suing for the cost to repair her ceiling.     'You Should Feel Like Garbage' & 'Crapping Out' & 'Trying to Pass the Gas'

    First, the plaintiff says she loaned her ex-boyfriend money for trips, a luxury watch, and a high-end bed. After they broke up, he refused to pay her back, leaving her deep in debt at just 19 years old. She’s suing for the amount she’s owed. The defendant claims the plaintiff was spending from her parents’ savings account and pretending to live lavishly. He says he already paid her back out of pity for her parents and can’t believe she’s demanding more. Then, the plaintiff says she gave the defendant money for a casino bus trip that was ultimately canceled. She’s suing for a refund. The defendant claims she wasn’t the organizer of the trip and told the plaintiff from the start that she didn’t have her money. Plus, the plaintiff says he bought a car from the defendant but it broke down after just 10 miles. The defendant arranged a tow but then asked the plaintiff to pay for it. It turned out the gas gauge was broken, and the plaintiff had simply run out of gas. He’s suing for the cost of the tow and repairs.     'Punching Out' & 'Bugging Out a Tenant' & 'Branching Out'

    First, the plaintiff says the defendant, his younger sister, owns a pet boxer that attacked his son, injuring the child’s eyes and requiring emergency medical treatment. He’s suing for medical bills and pain and suffering. The defendant says her nephew isn’t the most well-behaved kid, and no one knows what he did to provoke the dog. Then, the plaintiff says she rented an apartment from the defendant, but discovered it was infested with roaches as she was moving in. She claims the defendant knowingly concealed the pest problem and is suing for a return of her rent. The defendant argues the issue was likely her disgruntled boyfriend, not a bug, and claims the boyfriend didn’t want to live there from the start. Plus, the plaintiff says a rotten tree on the defendant’s property dropped a large branch that damaged his car, fence, and barbecue. When he called to notify the defendant, he allegedly replied, “I’m a lawyer, not a landscaper.” The plaintiff is suing for the cost of the damages. The defendant claims the damage was caused by a documented storm and says he’s disliked in the neighborhood simply because he’s building a large house in a small village.     'No Good Deed Goes Unpunished' & 'Give Me a Hand' & 'A Doggone Nightmare'

    First, the plaintiff says she took in the defendants, fellow church members, out of the goodness of her heart. She claims they brought bedbugs into her home, caused a toilet overflow, and stole a flat-screen TV. She’s suing for property damage, an unpaid loan, and back rent. The defendants deny bringing in bedbugs and say the infestation likely came from a couch the plaintiff received from her friend’s brother the same day they moved in. Then, the plaintiff says he’s known the defendant both personally and professionally for years. But after a disagreement, the defendant allegedly exploded in rage and threw him across the floor, breaking his wrist. He’s suing for medical bills and lost wages. The defendant denies laying a finger on the plaintiff, claiming the plaintiff was drunk, stumbling, and injured himself without any help from anyone else. Plus, the plaintiff says she was collecting her mother’s mail when one of the defendant’s Rottweilers grabbed her Maltese and ran off with it. Her dog was injured, and she was bitten on the hand. She claims the defendant is the registered owner of the dog and breeds Rottweilers in his backyard. She’s suing for medical bills, pain and suffering, and property damage. The defendant denies ownership of the dog involved, saying his dogs couldn’t have escaped an 8-foot fence and were in his yard at the time. He says neighbor accusations aren’t proof.     'All Dogs Not Welcome' & 'Not Giving In' & 'No Take-Backs'

    First, the plaintiff says the defendant’s large dog attacked his smaller dog at a local dog park, causing injuries that required medical treatment. He’s suing for the cost of the vet bills, which he says the defendant refuses to pay. The defendant claims the plaintiff’s small dog was antagonizing larger dogs and that what happened was just normal roughhousing. She is countersuing for two and a half years’ worth of dog park fees, claiming her pet was unfairly banned. Then, the plaintiffs say they spent five days thoroughly cleaning their apartment before moving out, yet the defendant refused to return their full security deposit. They allege an altercation followed, during which the defendant’s son punched one of them. They’re suing for the full deposit refund. The defendant claims she was willing to return most of the deposit but says the plaintiffs became aggressive and demanded the full amount. She also cites broken windows, pet damage, and minor repairs as reasons for the partial withholding. Plus, the plaintiff says he bought a car from the defendant, only for it to break down the very next day. He’s suing for a full refund.     First, the plaintiff says the defendant, her ex-boyfriend, owes her money for activities and trips she paid for during their relationship. She is suing to be reimbursed. The defendant claims the only reason she is suing is because he broke up with her. Then, the plaintiff says he repaired the defendant’s laptop, which was running slowly, but the defendant refuses to pay for the service. He is suing for the cost of the repair. The defendant says while the plaintiff did clean the hard drive, he failed to restore important data that was wiped in the process. Plus, the plaintiff says her daughter passed away and the defendant, her daughter’s friend, refuses to return valuable belongings that she claims are rightfully hers. She is suing for the value of the items. The defendant says the plaintiff’s daughter asked her to keep those items from her mother.     First, the plaintiff says he and the defendant were friends, and that one day the defendant came to him in desperate need of money. He claims the defendant never repaid the loan and has left him struggling to afford food. He is suing for the amount owed. The defendant says he repaid everything and alleges the plaintiff is a hothead who once bashed his own head into a brick wall and fled as police arrived. He is countersuing for pain and suffering. Then, the plaintiffs say the defendant, one of their yoga students, borrowed money for car repairs after her vehicle was vandalized. Once her car was working again, she allegedly refused to repay the loan. They are suing for the money owed. The defendant claims one of the plaintiffs offered to check the repairs but later charged her an excessive fee without her approval. She says he held her car “ransom,” but she retrieved it using her spare key. She believes this is why she is being sued. Plus, the plaintiff says she hired the defendant for home repairs and mistakenly paid him in full before work began. She claims his work was sloppy and incomplete, so she’s suing for a refund.     First, the plaintiff says the defendant let go of a shopping cart in a supermarket parking lot, and it hit his new car, causing extensive damage. When he confronted the defendant, he allegedly drove off. The plaintiff is suing for repair costs. The defendant claims the plaintiff’s wife caused the damage by squeezing her cart between parked cars. He believes the plaintiff is pinning the blame on him to avoid paying for his own repairs. Then, the plaintiff says she hired the defendant to cater a birthday party that was canceled due to a hurricane. She claims the defendant has been uncooperative in rescheduling the event, so she is suing for a full refund. The defendant says she already spent most of the catering fee on food and supplies in advance. She offered to give the food to the plaintiff, but the plaintiff refused. Plus, the plaintiff says she owns a two-family home and hired the defendants, real estate agents, to find tenants. She claims she set the rent at $1,500, but the tenants placed by the defendants are not paying that amount. She also alleges the tenants bring strange guests and the home now smells like marijuana. She is suing for misrepresentation. The defendants say they’ve worked with over 150 landlords, and this is the first time one has taken legal action over a tenant issue.
