    Common yet VERY unfair!

    We put a LOT of pressure on people to help us decide things... that they know NOTHING about! Yet, they want to help... and they want to be there for us... and they give us their best guess. And because we value them, we give what they say a LOT of weight... but fail ourselves in the process. We think that by not doing something, that we are safer that way... but the safer option was to do it. Life can be hard & complicated... but mostly because we make it that way.     Nice Safeguard - The Counseling Cert

    Did you know... That reverse mortgage applicants must have completed HECM Reverse Mortgage counseling (by a non-profit organization) and have a HECM Certificate prior to applying for such a mortgage? That is right! So this provides a very nice safeguard for our seniors to "know" what they are applying for and how it works.
