    In this interview I chat with Hugo Faz! Cutting-edge performance art permeates Hugo Faz's 10 year body of work in photography and filmmaking, whether portraying the Brazilian queer art scene and its personalities, making censorship-defying artistic statements, or via the creation of expanded-body personas, through which the artist immerses himself in themes of identity, body and sexuality, human and human-machine relationship, bio/necropolitics and crypto.     EP19 - Tiba

    In this interview I chat with Tiba! A documentary and portrait photographer who also happens to be a Afro-Brazillian martial artist. We follow his journey and growth as a photographer, and learn about his experiences in the NFT world! My photography journey started when I was a young teenager growing up in Brazil. I fell in love with photography when I came across the work of Sebastião Salgado and picked up a camera for the first time in 1993. From the very beginning, my passion has been mostly documentary and portrait photography. As the years went by, my vision and curiosity for photography kept growing. In 1997, I was invited to perform Capoeira in New York. I had been training in this form of Afro-Brazilian martial art since 1993. After the performance, I decided to stay and immerse myself in American culture. Naturally, my life as an artist unfolded there. I finished high school and attended college for graphic design while teaching Capoeira for a living. After graduating college, I worked as a freelance designer for 6 years before deciding to focus more of my time taking photographs. That was the beginning of my career as a full time photographer.  My curiosity and friendly approach always opened up new doors for me and not long after, I started working as an international music photographer.     Over the last few years, Todd Anthony's personal projects have taken him to all corners of the globe as he seeks out little-known groups or subcultures.
