Perchance to Dream

Pastor Will Martin | Psalm 126 "Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy." Psalm 126 is a song of ascents, a song of rising. Pastor Will Martin shows how the shape of Scripture runs upward, from Zion to the cross to the ascension. He then explains what that means for God's people when joy and sorrow arrive in the same season. This is a message of hope for anyone walking through a trial and trusting that the Lord restores.

The East Side

Pastor Will Martin | Joshua 13 The conquest is won, the land is at rest — but there's still unfinished work and a divvying up left to do. Pastor Will Martin surveys the land grants given to Reuben, Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh east of the Jordan, revisiting the famous story of Sihon and Og and tracing what remains for God's people to claim.

Now and Not Yet

Pastor Will Martin | Joshua 13:1-7 "You are old and advanced in years, and there remains yet very much land to possess." How can that be true when Joshua already took the whole land? Pastor Will Martin works through this apparent tension in the text of Joshua, unpacking the "now and not yet" pattern of God's promises — and what it means for how we live in the space between victory won and victory fully realized.

A Word About Giants

Pastor Will Martin | Joshua 11:21-12:24 Anakim, Rephaim, thirty-one defeated kings — a text full of names and places most readers skip right past. Pastor Will Martin slows down to unpack the giants and kings of Canaan, showing why this dense catalog of conquest matters and how it points forward to the greater victory of Christ.

The Pattern of Dominion

Pastor Will Martin | Joshua 11 The kings of the north unite against Israel, gathering their armies "like the sand on the seashore." But God has already declared the outcome. Pastor Will Martin traces Joshua's northern campaign — from the waters of Merom to the burning of Hazor — revealing how God hardens hearts for battle, gives total victory, and establishes His people's dominion in the land.

A Second Circumcision

Pastor Will Martin | Joshua 10:28-43 City after city falls to the sword — Makkedah, Libnah, Lachish, Eglon, Hebron, Debir. It's one of the hardest texts to read in all of Scripture. Pastor Will Martin tackles the difficult passages of God's Word head-on, showing how these accounts of conquest reveal the gospel, the wonder of grace, and where God's people fit into the story.

The Iniquity of the Amorite

Pastor Will Martin | Joshua 10 Why did God make Abraham's descendants wait 400 years for the Promised Land? Pastor Will Martin traces the answer back to a strange phrase in Genesis 15 — "the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full" — and shows how God's timing, patience, and justice converge in Joshua's battle against five Amorite kings.

The Gibeonite Deception

Tray Ischy | Joshua 9 This message walks through one of the strangest chapters in Joshua — Israel's tricked into a covenant with the Gibeonites. Framed through the lens of Genesis 34 and the "Road to Emmaus" pattern of understanding the present only in light of God's past faithfulness, this sermon shows why even the oddest texts of Scripture come alive when read in the light of Christ.
