62 // Your Nervous System Isn’t Supposed to Be Calm All the Time

Your nervous system isn’t supposed to be calm all the time. Despite what you might hear online, feeling stressed doesn’t automatically mean you’re “dysregulated” or that something is wrong with your nervous system. Your stress response exists for a reason. Your body was designed to respond when life requires action. In this episode of Rediscovering Normal, we’re breaking down what actually happens in your body when you experience stress, without turning it into a complicated neuroscience lesson. We’ll talk about the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, why neither one is “good” or “bad,” how your past experiences can influence present responses, and why I think adaptability is a much better goal than trying to stay calm all the time. In this episode, we talk about: • What actually happens in your body when you’re stressed • Why sympathetic activation isn’t the enemy • What “nervous system regulation” really means • Why two people can respond differently to the exact same situation • How your nervous system learns from previous experiences • Why a response can make sense even when the timing no longer does • How thoughts and emotions can create real physical responses • Why breathing can be a simple way to influence your physiology • Why the goal isn’t a stress-free life, but a body that can adapt You don’t need to eliminate stress from your life. You don’t need to be calm all the time. And experiencing a stress response doesn’t mean your body is failing you. Instead, start asking: “What is my body responding to right now?” And then: “What does my body need from me right now?” The goal isn’t a perfectly calm nervous system. It’s an adaptable one. 61 // How to Stop Treating Yourself Like a Problem That Needs to Be Fixed

How often do you catch yourself thinking, “What is wrong with me?” Maybe your body isn’t responding the way you want it to. Maybe you keep falling into the same patterns. Maybe you know something needs to change, but you aren’t sure where to start. What if healing didn’t begin with finding everything that’s wrong with you and trying to fix it? In this episode of Rediscovering Normal, we’re shifting from frustration to curiosity. We’ll talk about why your body’s responses and your personal patterns may make more sense when you understand what’s underneath them, and what I mean when I talk about developing a healing mindset. I’m also taking you behind the scenes of The Revival Practice and explaining why I use different tools like BEST, Emotion Code, the Enneagram, and homeopathy. They may seem completely unrelated, but each gives us a different way to look at the whole person. In this episode, we talk about: • Why “What’s wrong with me?” may be the wrong place to start • The difference between fixing and understanding • Why some of your patterns may have once served a purpose • What I mean by a healing mindset • How BEST, Emotion Code, the Enneagram, and homeopathy fit into The Revival Practice • Why no single tool has all the answers • How your thoughts, emotions, experiences, and physiology are connected • What Restore, Align, Bloom looks like in the healing journey You don’t need to turn yourself into another project to manage. Maybe the next step isn’t asking, “What do I need to fix about myself?” Maybe it’s asking: “What do I need to understand about myself?” Want to keep the conversation going? 60 // Why Your Nervous System Matters More Than You Think

Your nervous system does a whole lot more than you probably realize. It’s constantly receiving information, interpreting what’s happening around you, and helping your body decide how to respond. In this episode, we’re breaking down nervous system regulation without making it complicated. You’ll learn why your stress response isn’t the problem, why being “regulated” doesn’t mean being calm all the time, and why adaptability may be a better way to think about nervous system health. We’ll also talk about how thoughts, past experiences, muscle tension, breathing, and everyday stress can influence the way your body responds, plus one simple question that can help you become more curious about your body instead of immediately trying to fix it. Because your body isn’t failing when it responds to stress. It was designed to respond. The goal is helping it respond to what’s happening now. If you’ve ever wondered what people actually mean when they talk about “regulating your nervous system,” this episode is a great place to start. 59 // How to Trust Yourself When Fear Keeps Making You Second-Guess Everything

How many times have you researched something, prayed about it, asked for advice, and STILL found yourself wondering if you’re making the right decision? Sometimes we genuinely need more information. But sometimes, fear keeps us searching for another answer when deep down, we already know. In this episode of Rediscovering Normal, we’re talking about what it looks like to stop second-guessing yourself and start making decisions from a place of faith instead of fear. I’m also sharing a little about where Rediscovering Normal is headed. We’ll continue talking about natural health and homeopathy, but we’re going deeper into the nervous system, stress, emotions, thought patterns, BEST, Emotion Code, the Enneagram, faith, and the physiology behind how your body responds to the world around you. My goal is simple: I’ve done the studying so you don’t have to. I want to take the complicated neuroscience and physiology and turn it into information you can actually understand and use to make more confident decisions for yourself and your family. In this episode, we talk about: • Why more information doesn’t always create more confidence • How fear can disguise itself as preparation • The difference between trusting yourself and assuming you’re always right • What choosing faith over fear can look like in real life • The story behind my “blue building” • What Restore, Align, Bloom actually means • One question you can use when you find yourself second-guessing everything And that question is: “What does the version of me who chose faith over fear already know?” Take that one with you this week. Want to keep the conversation going? Join The Normal Note, my email for the moms who are willing to question what we’ve been told is “normal.” I’ll share practical health education, simple nervous system and physiology explanations, natural health tools, faith, and the things I’m learning along the way. 58 // Homeopathy Made Simple: Like Cures Like and the Mom’s Healing Image

Homeopathy can feel overwhelming when you first hear about it. Is it herbs? Supplements? Essential oils? And how does it even work? In this episode of Rediscovering Normal by The Revival Practice, I make homeopathy simple. We’ll talk about what it really is, how it works, and why it’s one of the safest and most powerful tools moms can use to support their families. You’ll learn: What “like cures like” means—using real-life examples like onions, coffee, bee stings. Why homeopathy works on the level of frequency and energy—so if you pick the “wrong” remedy, nothing happens. How suppression of symptoms can actually drive illness deeper (for example, eczema often leading to asthma). Why homeopathy doesn’t force the body, but nudges it to do what God designed it to do. How building confidence in homeopathy helps shape your kids’ healing image—teaching them their bodies are strong, capable, and created to heal. I’ll also share some of my personal experiences with homeopathy in our family (mom-to-mom, not medical advice), so you can see how this plays out in real life. Friend, I know this can feel like an entirely new paradigm. But you don’t have to figure it out alone. That’s why The Revival Practice exists—to create a tribe of moms who feel supported in making this shift and raising resilient families. 📥 Start today by grabbing my guide Restore with Homeopathy - the perfect first step toward building confidence in your healing image. https://www.therevivalpractice.com/shop/p/restore-with-homeopathy   www.therevivalpractice.com

57 // Why You’ve Never Heard This: The Suppression of Natural Healing and the Mom’s Healing Image

Have you ever wondered: If homeopathy is so safe and effective, why have I never heard about it? Why do people still think chiropractic is controversial? The truth is—it’s not because these systems don’t work. It’s because they were deliberately suppressed. In this episode of Rediscovering Normal by The Revival Practice, I share the hidden history of how natural healing was pushed out of mainstream care. We’ll talk about: The Flexner Report of the early 1900s, which labeled anything outside of drug-based medicine as “quackery.” How the AMA conspired to ‘contain and eliminate’ chiropractic—and lost in court when the truth came out. Why suppressing symptoms (like eczema with steroids) often drives illness deeper, creating bigger issues like asthma. A brief introduction to homeopathy—what it is (and isn’t), why it’s so safe, and how it nudges the body’s natural healing response instead of forcing chemical changes. Why moms today must strengthen their healing image to break cycles of fear and raise resilient families. This is just the beginning. In the next episode, we’ll dive deeper into homeopathy—exploring the principle of “like cures like,” sharing personal success stories, and giving you a clearer picture of how to use it in everyday life. Friend, you’ve never heard this history because the system didn’t want you to. But you’re hearing it now—and that truth can change everything for your family. 📥 Start today by grabbing my guide Restore with Homeopathy at https://www.therevivalpractice.com/shop/p/restore-with-homeopathy It’s your first step to building confidence in your healing image and rediscovering what normal was always meant to be. www.therevivalpractice.com

56 // Heal the Mom, Heal the Family: Building a Healing Image in a Fear-Based World

Your kids don’t just hear your words—they absorb your healing image. The way you respond to sickness, stress, and setbacks paints the picture of what healing looks like for them. And that picture will shape their future. But here’s the challenge: we live in a world that makes any mom who questions the medical model feel like a “weirdo.” For years, I stayed quiet. I discovered homeopathy, but my family thought I was nuts. I thought, “Maybe if I had more authority, then they would listen.” That led me to chiropractic college, where learning anatomy and physiology gave me the confidence to finally speak boldly about the body’s design to heal. In this episode, I share why I refuse to stay quiet anymore—and why you shouldn’t either. You’ll learn: What a healing image is and why it matters more than perfection. The reality of rising chronic illness in kids. How the medical model pushes fear and undermines a mom’s confidence. Why being authentic, even if it makes you the “weirdo mom,” is one of the greatest gifts you can give your children. How homeopathy can help you carry a healing image with confidence. Friend, heal the mom, heal the family. Your healing image is the foundation of revival. 📥 Don’t forget to download your resource: Restore with Homeopathy. https://www.therevivalpractice.com/shop/p/restore-with-homeopathy  It’s the perfect starting point to support your kids naturally and rebuild your confidence in God’s design for healing.
