Apple Vision Pro - The Failed Foresight of Social Interaction

In the fourteenth episode of the StriveX Podcast, CEO Shaurya Sharma and CFO Arjun Verma talk about the Apple Vision Pro, a spatial computer designed by Apple to merge the real and digital world. Introduced in June 2023, its goal is to immersive yourself in a whole new world with spatial audio, and have the ability to connect with friends and family without needing to leave your home. Some say that the Apple Vision Pro is revolutionary when it comes to productivity and collaboration, and provides a whole new perspective to the real world. However, many concerns have been raised about this device, with it potentially leading to real-world isolation, and a dystopian society in which technology will take over our lives, and make humans look like robots with headsets on their heads 24/7. Not to mention, the high price point makes it nearly unobtainable to consumers, leading Apple to slowly hide the product from their website. Will the Apple Vision Pro truly revolutionize the modern world, and connect us like never before, or will it just be a failed foresight on what Apple thought was the future of social interaction? Learn all about the Apple Vision Pro in this episode, such as the background, pros and cons, our thoughts, and the future of this new era of virtual reality. This is just the beginning of what is to come, and there will be more topics covered, similar to this, in future episodes of the podcast. Humane AI Pin - Convenience At An Inhumane Cost

In the thirteenth episode of the StriveX Podcast, CEO Shaurya Sharma and CFO Arjun Verma talk about the Humane AI Pin, a wearable pin on your chest that acts like a personal assistant through artificial intelligence. Designed by two ex-Apple executives, Imran Chaudhri and Bethany Bongiorno, this pin is unique, as its goal is to steer you away from using a screen and instead think out loud and live in the moment. You can ask it to set reminders, catch up on texts, play music, and so much more, with its key features being its vision and Laser Ink Display. However, concerns have been raised for the pin due to its high costs, response delays, and usefulness compared to a smartphone, among many other reasons. This widespread criticism has led Humane to seek buyers for its company. Will the Humane AI Pin actually become the new way to merge the real and digital world only using your voice, or will it just be a small convenience at an inhumane cost? Learn all about the Humane AI Pin in this episode, such as the background, pros and cons, our thoughts, and the future of this controversial wearable device. This is just the beginning of what is to come, and there will be more topics covered, similar to this, in future episodes of the podcast. Temu - The Innovation Masking Exploitation

In the eleventh episode of the StriveX Podcast, CEO Shaurya Sharma and CFO Arjun Verma talk about Temu, an e-commerce platform that decided to take the world by storm by selling potentially useful products at incredibly cheap prices. This boom started after their Super Bowl commercial, where they encouraged customers to "shop like a billionaire," implying they could buy as much as they wanted for the low due to their sweet deals and coupons. This led them to quickly surpass 100 million users within the next year, and reach number 1 on the app store. However, they have recently come under scrutiny for data privacy concerns due to their connections in China, as well as their use of forced labor in the Uyghur region, potentially involving children. Could Temu overtake Amazon in the e-commerce market with its incredibly cheap prices, or is this shopping innovation solely masking their exploitation for profit? Learn all about Temu in this episode, such as the background, pros and cons, our thoughts, and the future of this too-good-to-be-true app. This is just the beginning of what is to come, and there will be more topics covered, similar to this, in future episodes of the podcast. Juicero - The Slow Squeeze To Death

In the tenth episode of the StriveX Podcast, CEO Shaurya Sharma and CFO Arjun Verma talk about Juicero, a juicer that was designed to eliminate the hassle of preparing and chopping fruits by serving them in small juice packs. The idea was great in theory, as serving the juice in packs did not create a mess, and had much customization in regards to dietary restrictions, which again eliminated the need to purchase fruits and vegetables at your own disposal. However, it was the process of creating the juice concoction that received hefty criticism and would eventually force the company out of business. A single one-minute video was posted by Bloomberg, detailing how it was much faster and cheaper to dispense the juice by squeezing the packs with your hands, rather than purchasing a 400-dollar machine to do the work for you. Because of this, Juicero immediately went into the shadows and filed for bankruptcy. Was the Juicero a good idea in concept but failed terribly at execution, or was it simply creating solutions for nonproblems, leading to the idea being squeezed to death? Learn all about Juicero in this episode, such as the background, pros and cons, our thoughts, takeaways, and the future of this overengineered juicer. This is just the beginning of what is to come, and there will be more topics covered, similar to this, in future episodes of the podcast. Flipper Zero - The Key To Digital Domination

In the ninth episode of the StriveX Podcast, CEO Shaurya Sharma and CFO Arjun Verma talk about Flipper Zero, a multi-tool device designed to interact with various types of electronic systems and hardware. It is aimed at hobbyists and tech enthusiasts, allowing them to manipulate and interact with different types of systems. For example, Flipper Zero can emulate RFID and NFC tags to gain access to control systems like keypad doors, as well as transmit and receive radio signals to interact with wireless devices and systems like garage doors and household devices. However, this tool has more power than the average home automation device. Flipper Zero has gained notoriety for being able to gain unauthorized access to different systems, such as cars and phones, due to its ability to exploit devices. With this, there have been calls to regulate the device, with Amazon even banning sales of the device. Will Flipper Zero attempt to brand itself as a learning tool for enthusiasts to learn and explore tech around them, or will it create a dystopian society where hackers have digital domination that could potentially lead to an outright ban? Learn all about Flipper Zero in this episode, such as the background, pros and cons, our thoughts, and the future regarding this pocket-sized gadget. This is just the beginning of what is to come, and there will be more topics covered, similar to this, in future episodes of the podcast. Neuralink - The Renaissance of Humanity

In the eighth episode of the StriveX Podcast, CEO Shaurya Sharma and CFO Arjun Verma talk about Neuralink, a company launched by Elon Musk, Ben Rapoport, and Max Hodak to implant brain-machine interfaces (microchips) into humans. These chips can essentially be used as a connection between the human brain and technology, which means that people with paralysis can easily operate their phones and computer directly with their brains. The chipset wires will be able to both monitor brain activity and electrically stimulate the brain in order to make the paralyzed walk, the blind see and eventually turn people into cyborgs. However, there have been legitimate safety concerns regarding the chip, including trials where they have killed lots of animals, and they are currently being investigated because of it. Will this be the renaissance of humanity where everyone will have chips implanted into them in the near future, or will this become a dead company where the founders face their crimes against humanity? Learn all about Neuralink in this episode, such as the background, the pros and cons, and our thoughts on this new company. This is just the beginning of what is to come, and there will be more topics covered, similar to this, in future episodes of the podcast.
