When You’re Carrying Too Much: A Prayer to Give Your Burdens to God

Are you carrying everyone else's burdens while quietly becoming exhausted yourself? Maybe you're constantly thinking about your family, worrying about someone you love, praying for other people's situations, trying to solve problems, or feeling responsible for outcomes you cannot control.   This episode of Devoted to Prayer is a prayer for the person who is carrying too much. Psalm 55:22 says, “Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you.” Through Scripture-centered prayer and the Grace Alignment Practice™—Pause, Reflect, Respond, Realign—we will bring our burdens before God and ask Him to show us what we are called to carry, what we need to release, and what belongs in His hands. We will reflect on Psalm 55:22, Matthew 11:28–30, Galatians 6:2, Galatians 6:5, and 1 Peter 5:7 as we pray about surrender, emotional exhaustion, responsibility, trust, and rest. You can love people without carrying everything they are going through. You can pray without controlling the outcome. You can help without taking responsibility for someone else's choices. And you can rest while trusting God to work where you cannot. Take a few minutes to pause, reflect, respond, and realign with God's Word. If you've been asking, “How do I give my burdens to God?” or “How do I stop carrying everything for everyone else?” this prayer is for you.   Prayer Category: Surrender & Rest Grace Alignment Practice™: Pause • Reflect • Respond • Realign Scriptures: Psalm 55:22; Matthew 11:28–30; Galatians 6:2, 5; 1 Peter 5:7 For the one who needs a moment with God. #DevotedToPrayer #GiveYourBurdensToGod #ChristianPrayer #PrayerForStrength #PrayerForRest #TrustGod #SurrenderToGod #GraceAlignmentPractice #ChristianEncouragement

Prayer for Intrusive & Negative Thoughts | Renew Your Mind & Find Peace

What do you do when your mind keeps replaying the same conversation, painful memory, fear, or negative thought? In this episode of Devoted to Prayer, we bring intrusive thoughts, negative rumination, anxiety, and overthinking before God through Scripture-centered prayer. Rather than condemning ourselves for having difficult thoughts, we learn to pause, reflect on God’s Word, respond honestly, and realign our hearts and minds with His truth. Using the Grace Alignment Practice—Pause, Reflect, Respond, Realign—we reflect on Philippians 4:8 that remind us where to turn when our thoughts become difficult. This is not a prayer about pretending everything is okay. It is an invitation to bring what is happening within us to God and return to what is true according to His Word. If you are struggling with overthinking, intrusive thoughts, negative thought patterns, anxiety, or a mind that keeps returning to the same painful situation, take a few minutes and pray with me. You don't have to solve everything today. You can pause. You can bring it to God. You can return to His Word. You can choose your response. And when your mind wanders, you can return to Him again.   Prayer Category: Freedom & Renewal of the Mind Grace Alignment Practice: Pause • Reflect • Respond • Realign Scriptures: Philippians 4:6–8; Romans 12:2; Psalm 46:1; Isaiah 41:10; James 1:5; James 1:19; 2 Corinthians 10:5   Listen, pray, and take the next faithful step. #DevotedToPrayer #IntrusiveThoughts #NegativeThoughts #Overthinking #Prayer #RenewYourMind #ChristianPrayer #Philippians4 #GraceAlignmentPractice

Praying for Our Children: Deliverance, Identity, Friendships & Protection Our children are facing spiritual, emotional, and cultural challenges unlike any previous generation. Together, we'll declare God's promises over their lives and trust Him to raise up a generation that loves Him wholeheartedly and fulfills His purpose. Whether you're praying for your own children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, students, or the children in your community, this prayer is a reminder that no child is beyond God's reach and no prayer offered in faith is ever wasted. Join us as we stand in the gap for our children, believing that God is faithful to guard, guide, and grow them into all He has created them to be.
