    Subhash Sharma first hatched the idea of traveling the world on motorcycles, among his friends in the summer of 1969 — a far different time. They were all employees of the Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company - now known as Tata Motors - in Jamshedpur, India.  Mr. Sharma was only 22 years old then, with little real idea of what he was about to attempt. Yet, he rode round the world, through 52 countries, with three other friends Sampuran Singh, Ashok Kher and Manmohan Singh, on two motorcycles from 1971-72.  Subhash Sharma is now 75 years old and has been living in Forth Worth, Texas, USA since 1975.
