    Episode 211: Is Christianity Hereditary?

    Happy Sunday! In this episode, we tackle one of the most well-known—and frequently misunderstood—verses in the entire Bible: Proverbs 22:6. "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." If you are a parent, you have likely committed this verse to memory. But if you have ever watched children raised by the exact same parents in the exact same household turn out completely opposite, this verse might leave you confused, frustrated, or even carrying a heavy burden of guilt. Why do some godly parents have rebellious children? And why do some incredible believers come from broken, non-Christian homes? In this message, we unpack why Proverbs 22:6 is a powerful biblical blueprint, but not a guaranteed transactional promise. Belief in Jesus cannot be passed down through DNA, and faith isn't hereditary. Because of free will, every single individual must make their own personal confession of faith.
