The Charge Plated Podcast

I usually find it daunting to learn new games because many have a high barrier to entry, but Jurch and Cody break down SolForge Fusion in a clear and engaging way that makes me want to play it. After listening to the first few of episodes of this podcast, I feel equipped and excited to sit down with my own deck and start learning to strategize. These guys are awesome for taking the time to research details of SolForge Fusion, and I’ll definitely be listening to this podcast more as I learn to play!

I’m one of those guys who love to play games but often work and other family commitments mean that I have less time than I’d like to play. Jurch and Fizzlesticks have great chemistry, and for me it’s a perfect balance of enjoying my favorite game when I’m stuck driving or working out and can’t actually play. However, as entertaining as they are, the quality of commentary is often worth a second listen as I try to get a little more competitive and up my game. If you’re new to Solforge, their back catalog is fantastic. If you already enjoy the game, you’re going to love this podcast as it entertains and educates. Hope they have a long and successful run!

I really enjoy SolForge Fusion and the hosts bring a lot of positivity and excitement to the podcast. Two things I would prefer: one, that the hosts use their real names when referring to themselves (I live in MN and would be confused if I encountered them at my LGS) and two, that they would be extra careful when referring to keywords, even including a quick explanation, because every episode could be someone’s first episode.

Jurch and Cody do a great job of explaining the game, giving some history, and providing strategy to actually start playing and enjoying the game rather than hitting your head on the table in frustration. I’m looking forward to more episodes and would love to see more from these two on other games. Great work guys!
