Theo and Harris

I keep coming back to this podcast, I love the banter. But at the same time I can’t believe that these guys take the money/work culture they are so wrapped up in as seriously as they do. It’s super entertaining, and these guys are really funny, but there’s also this part of me that can’t wrap my head around the lovable douchiness of these guys.

Christian is basically using this podcast just to push his premium pattern content. You get a quarter of an interview per week and have to pay $10+ a month to hear the rest. Don’t bother.

These chats about whatever (watches, product design, brands, business) are as interesting as they are entertaining. Great for a commute.

As much as I like Michael, I just can’t get behind this show. His co-host is consistently off-putting and disingenuous, and unfortunately, it brings the whole ship down. The show is also filled with conflicts of interest—when are they actually gushing about a watch versus promoting it because they’re being paid? It’s very hard to know. I don’t need more advertising in my life. I’m already inundated. I’m looking elsewhere for watch-related talk, though I’ll continue to follow the Iron Snail, where Michael actually has the space to be genuine, thoughtful, and kind. There is no such space here, which is a shame—I was excited when I found it. Wishing this show the best, but signing off for now.
