Loving people to the cross isn’t a sign of tolerance or acceptance of everything they do. It’s obedience to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are called to love people, but we are also called to lead them to the One who can change their lives. Grace demands change. You cannot truly encounter Jesus and expect to remain the same. When Jesus comes into your life, things begin to change. Your heart changes. Your desires change. Your priorities change. Your direction changes. Does that mean we become perfect overnight?     Longing For God

    Psalm 61 — A Heart That Longs for God When we read Psalm 61, we hear the cry of David’s heart. He cries out to God, seeks refuge in Him, and declares in verse 8 that he will praise God’s name forever and perform his vows daily. David wasn’t just talking. He was making a commitment. He understood that worship was more than words coming out of his mouth. It was a life surrendered to the God he served. In other words, David was saying, “Lord, I don’t just want to speak about You. I want to walk with You. I don’t just want to call on You when I need something. I want to live in a way that honors You every single day.” Church, when was the last time we stopped long enough to remember just how good God has been to us? We want to hear from you.     Walked Away

    John 6:66-69 This is where John 6 gets powerful. These people didn't simply walk away from a religious service. They walked away from Jesus after hearing His teaching. To understand why, we need to look at what Jesus said immediately before they left. Why Did They Walk Away From Jesus? 1. Jesus said things they didn't want to hear John 6:60  Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?” The word hard here carries the idea of something difficult to accept, not merely difficult to understand. Original word in John 6:60 Sklēros — harsh, severe, difficult to accept. Earlier in John 6, Jesus taught that He was the Bread of Life and that people must come to Him to have eternal life (John 6:35). He spoke about eating His flesh and drinking His blood (John 6:51–56), using language that shocked and offended many hearers. We want to hear from you.     The Journey

    Scripture: Romans 8:16–30 (KJV) Have you ever had a moment when you cried yourself to sleep? Or maybe you’ve laid awake for hours, staring at the ceiling, asking God: “Lord, what is the purpose of this?” “Why am I the one You’ve chosen for this journey?” “God, how much longer am I going to have to walk through this?” Let me tell you something, friend. The journey you’re on isn’t just about the destination. It’s about what God is doing in you along the way. See, we talk about the Promised Land. We talk about the land flowing with milk and honey. We talk about the blessings on the other side of the wilderness. And we often try to relate our lives to the Israelites. But we must understand something. Israel’s wilderness journey included consequences for disobedience and unbelief. They had seen God deliver them from Egypt, yet they struggled to trust Him when the journey got difficult. But here’s something I want you to understand. Not every wilderness is punishment. Sometimes the wilderness is where God teaches us to trust Him when we cannot see what’s ahead.     Imperfect

    2 Corinthians 4:7–12 Throughout Scripture, we see God use imperfect people for His perfect divine purpose. This morning, I don’t necessarily want to talk to you about being used by God. I want to talk to you about eliminating the excuses. Let’s look at this Scripture. Paul writes this to the church at Corinth, and he makes several statements in this Scripture that are just as important for us today. First, let’s look at what he says.     Danger

    Ezekiel 33:31  “And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them…” This will be an upsetting sermon for some, and for that I say, buckle up and hang with me. We aren’t meant to sit in this building week after week, hear the Word, leave, and do it over and over. Honestly, I’m burdened by the process of what has become the ritual of the American church. There is a warning in the book of Revelation about it. Revelation 3:15-16  “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.  So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” We want to hear from you.     I’m listening

    This morning I want to talk to you on the subject matter of Listening  There are times when we are so busy so distracted  That we find ourselves filled with all the noise of the world  And we get so focused on the next step  The next chapter the new journey  Or even the moment that we simply don’t hear the lord  But we hear everything else  This morning I want to break down these first few Verses in 1 Samuel 3 — KJV, Verse by Verse 1 Samuel 3:1 “And the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was precious in those days; there was no open vision.” Explanation: Samuel was serving God under Eli. God’s word was rare in those days. The nation was in a spiritually difficult season. Verse 2 “And it came to pass at that time, when Eli was laid down in his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, that he could not see;” Explanation: Eli was getting old and losing his physical sight. But the chapter is also setting up a contrast between Eli’s fading sight and Samuel beginning to see spiritually. We want to hear from you.     Rise Up

    Micah 7:1–6 is brutally honest. Micah describes a world where things are not right. He sees corruption, disappointment, broken relationships, and people he can’t trust. It feels like everything around him is falling apart. A lot like Micah  “We begin to believe we’re stuck in the struggle.”  “We believe we’re in a rut.”  “We can’t see the purpose in the pain.” Micah doesn’t pretend everything is fine. But then comes verse 7: “Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.” That’s the turning point. Micah basically says: I’m going to look to God.  I’m going to wait on God.  I’m going to trust God.  And I’m going to believe God hears me. Then verse 8 hits: “Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.” We want to hear from you.
