    Season 5 – Episode 13 – Investment

    This week the SoW team talk investment and a little football. Find out more about the investment on the dedicated page from the DTB and Club – https://www.afcwimbledon.co.uk/the-dons-trust/investor-proposal This week’s we discuss the proposed investment in AFC Wimbledon and the Dons Trust members’ vote. It’s a conversation between the Same Old Wombles while we were still reading, researching and making up our minds. It is opinion and discussion, not a statement of fact. Several of us raise concerns about the deal’s finances, the way it has been put to members, and the background of the businesses and organisations connected to the proposed investor. We are asking questions, not alleging wrongdoing by any individual or organisation. Where we mention companies or groups, we are discussing what has been publicly reported about them. We are not claiming that the proposed investor has personally done anything improper, and we don’t know the details of his roles or finances. We have not verified every claim made in the conversation and don’t present them as established. We invited the Dons Trust board to join us, but they were unable to because of the volume of member questions they are working through before Thursday’s meeting. Nothing here is a recommendation on how anyone should vote. Every member is entitled to make up their own mind, and we hope everyone treats others with respect whichever way they vote.
