We believe Jesus was the Son of God who conquered sin and death for us through his death on the cross and his resurrection from the dead. His life of sacrifice and radical love for all not only restores our relationship with our creator, but it inspires and guides us as we seek to love others as he loved us.

    Why Pray for Daily Bread?

    If God already provides for every person on earth, why does Jesus teach us to pray, "Give us this day our daily bread"? In this message on Matthew 6: 11, Pastor Mark Schultz shows how this simple request shapes the person who prays it."Daily bread" was a first-century way of saying everything we need to live: food, clothing, shelter, relationships, and community. Jesus says the Father sends sun and rain on the evil and the good alike (Matthew 5: 45). So the point of the prayer isn't to talk God into providing. In Pastor Mark's words, "Prayer is not simply about getting something; prayer is also about becoming someone."Three ideas shape the message:We learn to say please. Like a parent teaching a child to ask, God teaches us that we depend on him. Paul told the Athenians that in God "we live and move and have our being" (Acts 17: 28). Even the paycheck, the house, and the food we feel we earned are gifts.We remember how richly we are blessed. God supplies every need "according to his riches" (Philippians 4: 19), so we don't have to find our security in what we've stored up.We become grateful. Paul says to bring our requests to God "with thanksgiving" (Philippians 4: 6). When we start by counting what God has done, our prayers change.The message ends with Dayenu, an ancient Passover prayer meaning "it would have been enough." If God had given us only Jesus, crucified and risen for us, that would be enough, and he has given us so much more.This week, try writing your own Dayenu prayer.     Our Father in Heaven, Hallowed Be Your Name

    What does it mean to call God our Father?In the opening words of the Lord's Prayer, Jesus invites us into something remarkable: a relationship with our heavenly Father. Through Christ, we are welcomed into God's family. We can approach him with both confidence in his love and reverence for his holiness.In this message from And So We Pray, we explore what it means to pray “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.”Jesus teaches us that prayer begins by recognizing who God is. His name is holy, and he deserves our praise and honor. Our worship extends beyond our words as we seek to reflect his character in the way we live and treat others.When life is difficult, when we don't understand our circumstances, or when we struggle to find the right words, we can begin with praise.     And So We Pray

    What is prayer, and why does it matter? Have you ever wanted to pray but struggled to find the words? In this week's message, we begin And So We Pray, a series exploring the prayer Jesus taught his disciples. Throughout the Gospels, we see Jesus make prayer a regular part of his life. He prayed at important moments in his ministry, spent time with his Father, and taught his followers how to pray. Prayer is more than asking God to change our circumstances. It's an invitation to know him more deeply, bring him our fears and anxieties, and trust his presence in every season of life.     Revival

    There are probably things in your life you wish you could reset.A decision you wish you could undo. A sin you wish had never happened. A moment you wish you could go back and change.In this message from Romans 6, we explore baptism and the new life God gives us in Christ. Baptism joins us to Jesus in his death and resurrection, giving us a new identity and a new way of living.The old has died. Something new has come alive.Sin still wages war in us, but it no longer gets to define who we are. Through baptism, our identity is found in Christ.

    Renewal

    Something is always shaping us. In this message from Romans 12, Roy explores Paul’s call to “be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” What we listen to, watch, read, believe, and who we surround ourselves with all play a part in shaping how we see ourselves, our neighbors, the world, and God. But renewal in Christ is something we experience together.     Restart - Your Past Vs. Your Future

    How much should your past shape your future? In Acts 9, Saul has a reputation for hurting Christians and opposing Jesus. Then, on the road to Damascus, Jesus meets him and changes the direction of his life. Saul’s story does not erase what happened in his past. The damage was real, and so were the reasons people were afraid of him. But his past did not have the final word. Our past may tell the truth about what we’ve done, but it does not get the final word about who we are. That final word belongs to Jesus. Through Saul, Ananias, and Barnabas, this message explores the mercy of Jesus, the reality of repentance, and the people God uses to help us step into a new future. If Jesus could transform Saul from an enemy of the church into the Apostle Paul, we can trust that his mercy is powerful enough to meet us wherever we are.     Reset

    What does it mean to reset when life has taken us somewhere we never meant to go?  This week at Trinity, we begin "Reset", a new sermon series about the ways God meets us when we need to return, restart, and be renewed. We begin with one of Jesus' most familiar stories: a son who believes life will be better away from his father. He leaves home, loses what he has, and eventually comes to his senses. With nothing left to prove, he gets up and goes home.  But the real surprise in the story is waiting for him there. His father sees him while he is still far away, runs to meet him, embraces him, and welcomes him home. The son expects judgment. Instead, he finds grace.  In this message from Luke 15:11–24, we look at what happens when we recognize where our path is taking us and turn back toward God. Every true reset begins with the grace of a Father who welcomes wandering children home.  As we begin this new series, we are reminded that following Jesus is not about pretending we have never wandered. It is about learning to recognize when we have drifted, turning back toward God, and receiving the grace he freely gives.  Luke 15:11–24
