Much has changed since I made this recording. As we have hurricane Milton incoming now, I'll add the following show notes, which was part of the Substack post I originally released this podcast on (you can find it at https://MementoMoriAlchemy.Substack.Com ) Well friends, on Friday night I had a revelation during this apocalyptic wormhole - and fitting, because apocalypse means revelation. What I did not know was that less than 24 hours later I’d be evacuating from my home from the second hurricane in less than two weeks.What I did not know was how conflicting that decision would soon become.What I did not know was … well, a lot.I didn’t know I’d be with family in another state 48 hours of the recording. I didn’t know another hurricane was coming, with my exact locale in the bullseye of its projected landfall. I was going to release this to yall today, but edited, as I’m sure I sound crazy in some parts and it’s a complete unedited stream of consciousness that I felt I had to capture IN the moment. I knew I had to capture it because of how fast things move and change - how easy it can be to forget these things just as soon as they start sinking in. So, tonight… I was trying to sleep and could not. I kept thinking about this apocalyptic wormhole and the revelations, I was reminded of Alicen Grey‘s accounts of her experience in Asheville, how crazy all of this is, this threshold we’re going through - and how she’s also described her experiences with the same or similar terminology. Then I realized, o shit, release that audio recording to substack, that’s where you talked about that stuff. I guess this is a message in a bottle, because I have no idea what tomorrow will bring. This is 10000x’d right now given the circumstances. I have no idea what the world as I know it will be a few days from now. So, I’ll release this audio recording, and if you get something out of it, fantastic. I halfway forget what I even said to be honest. At least it made it out into the ethers somewhere, that at some point, amidst all this chaos, grief, devastation, confusion and rage - there was also hope, there was also clarity. This was recorded Friday 10/4. I am releasing it at 3 AM Monday 10/7 because I cannot sleep and for some reason my mind nagged me to get on here and leave this with you, because you never know when things are gonna change drastically. So, leave your messages in their bottles for someone to find when they need to find it I suppose.
