Speaking Uncomfortable Truths on Epstein to Hillary Clinton Conference in Berlin - A Radical Dispatch 1) Speaking Some Home Truths on Epstein to Hillary Clinton Conference This week Radical Media’s Maajid Nawaz was invited to speak on two panels in Berlin at the World Forum on the Future of Democracy, AI/Tech and Humankind, convened by Hillary Clinton and hosted by Bob Geldof. President Clinton was meant to be there but he became otherwise predisposed with having to prepare for being deposed by Congress over the Epstein saga. As it turns out, the Epstein saga formed the basis for the first of our two presentations at the World Forum. Attendees at this World Forum included Hillary Clinton, former President of Tunisia Moncef Marzouki, former Prime Minister of Israel Ehud Olmert, WHO head Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus, former European Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship, former Minister of Foreign Affairs & Minister of National Defence of Greece, Dimitris Avramopolous and many others. The event was hosted by Bob Geldof and BBC News chief presenter Kasia Madera. Many readers were as surprised as we were to receive an invitation to address this illustrious crowd of globalist leaders. The wider context in which the invite came though, perhaps sheds some light on the inner suppositions of the Clinton team. It appears that a growing recognition they are losing the debate on all things globalism has spurred them to reach out to a more diverse range of speakers, such as this author. Click to play: Hillary Clinton: “I think we need to call it for what it is. There is a legitimate reason to have a debate about things like migration. It went too far. It’s been disruptive and destabilizing, and it needs to be fixed in a humane way, with secure borders that don’t torture and kill people.” Even President Obama has started to openly accept some short comings of the neo-liberal approach. Click to play: President Obama: “big turn off. I think there was a certain way of talking about issues for Democrats where we sounded like scolds. And, I’ve said this before, there was a virtue signalling that made it seem as if ordinary folks, if they did not say things in exactly the right way or meet this litmus test, that they were being chastised, pushed away. And the truth is most of us, all of us, are complicated. And we have blind spots. And sometimes we say dumb stuff. And if you want to create an environment that is welcoming and makes people feel, ‘okay, there’s room for me here’, then the message and the story we tell has to be, ‘all right, none of us are perfect, all of us count. We all have good in us that we can tap into. We can all learn from each other’.” Given this context, our working assumption was that our hosts - in this case the US State Department and EU blob - knowingly invited participants who would openly speak their mind in order to spur some of the sort of debate that Secretary Clinton and President Obama are now clearly seeking above. Nevertheless, we attended slightly confused but with the aim of presenting some tough truths to a neo-liberal establishment audience, on the given panel topic: How to Stop the Far Right & Extremism. We chose the moment to address the elephant in the room: the Epstein Files, and how they relate to far right extremism. Our panel was chaired by BBC News chief presenter Kasia Madera. Joining the panel were:i) the former European Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship, former Minister of Foreign Affairs & Minister of National Defence of Greece, Dimitris Avramopolous ii) Romanian historian and politician of the National Liberal Party serving as a member of the Chamber of Deputies, Alexander Muraru iii) German political thinker and Founder and Director of the European Democracy Lab, Dr Ulrike Guerotiv) Founder of Free Hearts Free Minds Yasmine MohammedFormer Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert sat in the audience throughout our panel. And as the panel’s left wing speaker Dr Ulrike Guerot stated, considering what was said, it went rather well. 2) Cinema for Peace Gala On the first night after the World Forum began, some speakers were invited to attend the Cinema for Peace gala. The experience of this evening was somewhat of a surreal timewarp. The gala consisted of pre-Covid era political, social and professional luminaries who were speaking and behaving as if the world still has faith in their leadership and intentions. And that they are the most important people, ever. The opening presentation was given by none other than transhumanist technocrat, Yuval Noah Harari. Bob Geldof then kicked the evening off, replete with a true-to-life false start for Hillary Clinton due to Geldof guffawing his way through as host. Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert was able to return the room to sobriety somewhat. And then Hillary Clinton spoke. Here is an extract of her speech recorded by Radical Media in the room that night. Click to play: Hillary Clinton: “And one of the people promoting and funding that is Vladimir Putin. He is the primary instigator of the efforts against democracy across Europe, and he has ready allies in the United States. It is important that those of us who are fighting for democracy, fighting for real economic opportunity and prosperity, not just so that wealth goes to the few, but it goes to the many, and standing up for the rights of women and marginalised groups, recognise what we are up against. It’s been a long time coming. You know, many years ago I said there was a vast right-wing conspiracy and people made terrible fun of me. But you know what? There was and there is. And today we see evidence of it everywhere we look. Money flowing from Putin and his oligarchic allies into political parties in Europe. Techno-authoritarians like Elon Musk addressing right-wing political parties here in Germany and in the UK. Do not underestimate how well organised this effort is. It is not spontaneous. It is not just one person with charisma who comes to the forefront. It is a movement to turn the clock back on democracy, on the rule of law, and the rights of us all.” Clinton was right to highlight the role that Elon Musk is playing in funding and amplifying division in Europe. But much else of what she said - and the organiser’s sycophancy around her presence - remained typically unreflective. The gala hosts were busy soliciting applause from the audience for lines such as “Hillary Clinton is the only woman Vladimir Putin is scared of” and “Hillary Clinton is the most famous woman in the world”. Guests were expected to act as if the entire world had not just discovered exactly what her husband President Clinton had been up to all those years on Jeffrey Epstein’s private jet and Island. Indeed, President Clinton was meant to be there himself. But, we were told, he was predisposed due to “the issue that has arisen”. Of course, President Trump was duly blamed. Meanwhile, media interviews on the sidelines of the forum and gala were forcing Secretary Clinton to address the elephant in the room. Click to play: BBC interviewer: “Do you regret the links that there have been?” Hillary Clinton: “You know, we have no links. We have a very clear record that we’ve been willing to talk about, which my husband has said: he took some rides on the airplane for his charitable work. I don’t recall ever meeting him”. BBC interviewer: “Did you ever meet Ghislaine Maxwell?” Hillary Clinton: “I did on a few occasions, and thousands of people go to the Clinton Global Initiative. And so, to me is not is not something that is really at the heart of what this matter is about. They are accused, and in both cases were convicted, of horrific crimes against girls and women. That should be the focus. And we are more than happy to say what we know, which is very limited and totally unrelated to their behaviour or their crimes, and we want to do it in public because let’s make this transparent. BBC interviewer: “There are calls for another individual who denies wrongdoing to go before Congress on this matter. Andrew Mountbatten, Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew. Do you think he should testify?” Hillary Clinton: “I think everybody should testify. Including the former prince. I think everybody should testify who was asked to testify. I just want it to be fair. I want everybody treated the same way. That’s not true for my husband and me because other witnesses were asked to testify. They gave written statements under oath. We offered that. They want to pull us. Why do they want to pull us into this? To divert attention from President Trump. This is not complicated.” Considering Ghislaine Maxwell attended their daughter Chelsea’s wedding, Hillary’s answer to the BBC about whether or not she had met Ghislaine Maxwell: “I did on a few occasions, and thousands of people go to the Clinton Global Initiative” failed to achieve much more than anger listeners even more. Incredibly, the evening’s most prestigious award was reserve
