Episode 31: Setting God-Sized Goals: Scaling Business & Cultivating Culture with Don Jacks

When you have a big vision for your life and business, you cannot walk the path entirely alone. In this special episode of the Wholehearted Impact Podcast, I am sitting down with someone who has been a steady, foundational voice in my own journey: my longtime real estate coach and dear friend, Don Jacks. Don has been in the real estate business for over thirty years and has spent the last two decades coaching high-achieving business owners to reach their highest potential. Together, we look back on our five-year journey of scaling a business from the ground up, navigating financial learning curves, and building a flourishing company culture. Join us for a transparent conversation about what it truly takes to move from a solo doer to an impactful leader. Don shares invaluable tactical advice on how to quiet the mind to conquer overwhelm, why taking quick action is the ultimate antidote to staying stuck, and the absolute necessity of setting a God-sized goal that forces you to grow into your next chapter. What We’re Unpacking in This Episode:The Power of an Aligned Partnership: Why I specifically sought out a coach who led with heart and shared my foundation of faith, rather than a hard, traditional sales driver.Action as the Ultimate Separator: Don’s perspective on why top producers focus on execution and build a messy first iteration rather than sitting in endless contemplation. The Rule of Fast Pivots: A simple framework for taking risks, understanding that if a mistake can be undone quickly and costs very little, you should just do the thing.Moving from Solo Doer to Scaled Leader: Facing the hotty trap of perfectionism, learning to trust your team with mistakes, and getting systems out of your head and onto paper. The Vulnerability of Pricing and Culture: My open reflection on the financial struggles of charging less out of insecurity, and how a transparent relationship with my team allowed us to grow together anyway.Overwhelm Means Underplanned: Don’s step-by-step approach to a brain dump, categorized by deleting, delegating, delaying, or prioritizing work on a physical doing board.Closing Your Apple Loops: How unfinished, open projects create subconscious anxiety, and how implementing ninety-minute jam sessions restores deep focus.Shining Brightly for the Next Generation: A shared reflection on the Marianne Williamson poem, reminding us that letting our own light shine unconsciously gives others permission to do the same. Episode 30: Who God Says You Are

Your identity is too important to leave in the hands of pain. In this episode of the Wholehearted Impact Podcast, I want to speak directly to your true identity.. not your title, your resume, or your relationship status. So many of us are living out of identities that were quietly formed by past rejection, trauma, or the opinions of people who could not see us clearly. We carry invisible labels like "not enough" or "too much," allowing them to dictate how we parent, how we lead, and how we dream. Join me for an intimate conversation about how to break agreement with the lies you have believed and begin rebuilding your identity on who God says you are. We explore the vital difference between shame and divine conviction, how neuroplasticity aligns with spiritual healing, and how to practice truth until your nervous system safely learns to receive it. You are not what happened to you, and you were never broken beyond repair. It is time to let God tell you who you are. What We’re Unpacking in This EpisodeThe Embodied Labels We Carry: How quiet labels like "invisible," "damaged," or "a disappointment" turn into beliefs that dictate how we show up in our businesses and families.Shame’s Voice vs. God’s Voice: Understanding how shame demands that you hide away as disqualified, while God invites you into the light to completely redeem your story. The Heart of the Ninety-Nine: A comforting reminder of the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine in the pasture just to pursue the one who got away.Wounded vs. Broken Beyond Repair: My perspective on childhood trauma, understanding that past pain may cover your essence, but it never destroys the whole person God created you to be.Breaking Active Agreement with Lies: Why a lie requires your continued agreement to stay active in your life, and how to intentionally sever that bond. The Neuroplasticity of Healing: How consistently speaking truth—even when it feels awkward or like baloney at first—creates fresh, healthy pathways in your subconscious brain. How Identity Unlocks Your Calling: Why believing you are disqualified causes you to bury your divine gifts, and how true security allows you to receive feedback and rest without guilt. Episode 29: Interview with Alexandria Mendoza (When Parents Divorce)

You can acknowledge the deep wounds of your childhood without letting them become your final identity. Rejection and pain do not get to dictate the final size of your future. In this episode of the Wholehearted Impact Podcast, I am sitting down with a beautiful member of our Majors Realty Group family, Alexandria Mendoza. At just twenty three years old, Alex carries a profound maturity and a story that will completely shift your perspective on what it means to break family cycles. Growing up in Los Angeles before moving to Fairbanks, Alaska, Alex and her family quietly navigated a home life overshadowed by severe domestic abuse and mental health struggles. Join us for an honest, moving conversation about what happens when you decide that the trauma of your past doesn't belong to you anymore. Alex opens up about her mother's fierce fight to get them to safety, how she learned to quiet her mind through prayer, and how a healthy relationship with her fiancé, Robert, helped rewrite her expectations of love. This conversation is a gentle reminder that you can acknowledge the wounds of your past without allowing suffering to become your identity. What We’re Unpacking in This EpisodeThe Reality of Hidden Wounds: Alex opens up about her childhood in Los Angeles and the moment her perspective shifted as a young girl when her home life turned abusive. The Power of a Devoted Mother: How Alex's mother fought fiercely to change the trajectory of her daughters' lives and pull them out of a toxic environment.Forgiveness Without Access: A vital look at how to release the heavy burden of judgment through forgiveness while maintaining healthy, protective boundaries for your future.Healing Trauma Through Safe Love: How meeting her fiancé, Robert, completely flipped her expectations of leadership in the household, showing her that disagreements can happen without screaming or fear. The Circle of Influence: The power of scripture regarding who you surround yourself with, and why being highly selective with your friends will alter your life's destination.Overcoming the Struggle Habit: My gentle challenge to Alex about trading the exhausting language of struggle for divine grace, ease, and definitive decision making. Episode 28: Wholehearted Leadership: Building a Business Without Losing Yourself

Business and leadership will expose absolutely everything that is unhealed in you. I guarantee it. In this episode of the Wholehearted Impact Podcast, I am digging deep and getting radically honest about what it really takes to build a massive business without losing your soul along the way. As a high school dropout who went on to build the fastest-growing real estate brokerage in the interior of Alaska, I’ve learned the hard way that leadership isn't just about strategy—it is personal development on full display. What We’re Unpacking in This Episode: The Leadership Mirror: How business acts as a mirror, exposing your relationship with control, your fear of failure, your boundaries, and your trust in God.My Alaskan Property Management Crisis: A transparent look at the heavy operational mistakes I made, how I had to restructure, and the relief that comes from taking 100% radical responsibility.Survival Leadership vs. Wholehearted Leadership: Breaking down the exhausting belief that "if I slow down, everything falls apart" versus leading with systems, trust, and clear communication.Integrity as a Currency: Why doing the right thing behind closed doors is a spiritual necessity, and why true integrity will sometimes cost you money and opportunities. The Compassion & Accountability Paradox: Why being nice but unclear is actually a fear of conflict, and how to hold boundaries without shaming your team. The Spiritual Side of Money: Overcoming a lack mentality, moving past faith-based profit guilt, and understanding that cash flow stabilizes the energy of your entire organization. The 5-Question Wholehearted Leadership Framework:What is true? (Not what I wish were true or what I'm avoiding). What is mine to own? (Keeping you responsible without overfunctioning for others). What needs to be communicated clearly? (Fixing delayed communication). What system needs to be strengthened? (Moving from blaming people to fixing structures). What would love and wisdom require here? (Choosing ego-free alignment). Episode 27: Am I Christian Enough?

Have you ever quietly asked yourself: Am I Christian enough? In this deeply personal and raw episode of the Wholehearted Impact Podcast, I am opening up about an experience that sent me into a spiral last year—when my book, Wholehearted Healing, was rejected by a local Christian bookstore. While this isn't an attack on any space, it forced me to confront a painful reality: the immense pressure so many of us feel to perform Christianity, look the part, and modify our language just to win religious approval. Join me for an honest conversation about what happens when human gatekeeping gets confused with God’s final word. We explore why traditional faith spaces are often uncomfortable with the language of emotional trauma and nervous system healing, how Jesus Himself constantly shattered religious expectations, and why choosing obedience will sometimes mean being misunderstood. If you are a leader, a believer, or a survivor with a messy past who has ever felt spiritually rejected, this episode is a gentle invitation to stop measuring your relationship with God by other people's approval. What We’re Unpacking in This Episode: The Bookstore Rejection: The raw story of having my book turned away and how it triggered a spiral of wanting to be accepted by the very spaces I love. The Pressure to Perform: Why fitting in is not the same as faithfulness, and how we accidentally trade spiritual obedience for human approval.Jesus vs. Religious Expectations: A comforting look at how Christ broke the mold by healing on the Sabbath, protecting the broken, and challenging the packaged hypocrisy of His day.Faith & Nervous System Healing: Why concepts like self-compassion, attachment patterns, and embodiment are not "un-Christian," but rather a reflection of a God who heals the whole person. When Rejection Becomes Refinement: Learning how to not hand your calling over to people who were never assigned to validate you.The Weight of Leadership: Kirk Franklin's story of struggling with porn addiction in the dark out of fear of church shunning, and why leaders need safe spaces to say, "Me too."Gatekeeping vs. The Final Word: Remaining teachable and coachable without allowing human gatekeepers to dictate your standing with Christ.Subscribe to the Wholehearted Impact Podcast to gain full access to an entire library of exclusive content.✨ Connect With Me Get the Free Guide: Download the companion 7 Steps to Wholehearted Healing Workbook at wholeheartedimpact.com.Read the Book: Snag your copy of Wholehearted Healing on the website to dive deeper into my personal story and tools.Support the Show: If this framework gave your heart a practical pathway today, please subscribe, leave a glowing review, and pass this episode along to a someone who is in their healing season!Listen and Subscribe: You can find my free weekly episodes on all major podcast platforms, Apple Podcasts, Spotify Podcasts, YouTube.

Episode 26: My book & The 7 Steps to Wholehearted Healing

Welcome back to the Wholehearted Impact Podcast! This episode is for the woman, the leader, the parent, the business owner, and the survivor who knows deep down that there has to be more to life than just getting through the day. Today, I’m opening up my heart to talk about my book, Wholehearted Healing, and the 7-step framework that completely transformed my life. This book wasn’t written from academic theory. It was written from my raw, lived experience of navigating childhood trauma, overcoming drug addiction, and learning the hard way to stop abandoning myself. So many of us try to heal intellectually while our bodies are still trapped in fear. We say we're fine, but our triggers tell a different story. True, wholehearted healing means giving God access to it all—not just the polished, spiritual parts. I’m walking you through a simple, faith-based pathway to calm your nervous system, release harsh self-condemnation, and rebuild your vision beyond mere survival. What We’re Unpacking in This Episode:Restoration vs. Fixing: Why you need to realize you are not defective or broken beyond repair—you are simply wounded and ripe for restoration. The Altar Realization: My personal story of crying out at the church altar for 5 years and the exact message God gave me about picking up my cross and learning the tools to process pain. The Leakage of Unhealed Pain: How your private wounds inevitably leak into your parenting, your business decisions, your communication, and your legacy. The 7-Step Framework Broken Down:Awareness: Naming what you are avoiding without using it as an excuse to beat yourself up.Breath & Reconnection: Using the physical body and breath to interrupt panic, emotional flooding, and nervous system shutdown.Clear Intentions: Moving off autopilot and using prayer as the highest form of conscious inner decision-making.Compassionate Self-Forgiveness: Releasing self-hatred because you cannot shame yourself into wholeness.Gratitude: Widening your perspective so pain doesn't tell the entire story.Vision: Reconnecting with your future wholehearted self and giving your healing a clear direction.Creativity & Movement: Using physical expression, nature, and joy to shake off survival patterns and feel alive again.✨ Connect With MeGet the Free Guide: Download the companion 7 Steps to Wholehearted Healing Workbook at wholeheartedimpact.com.Read the Book: Snag your copy of Wholehearted Healing on the website to dive deeper into my personal story and tools.Support the Show: If this framework gave your heart a practical pathway today, please subscribe, leave a glowing review, and pass this episode along to a someone who is in their healing season!Listen and Subscribe: You can find my free weekly episodes on all major podcast platforms, Apple Podcasts, Spotify Podcasts, YouTube.

Episode 25: From Survival Mode to Purpose (The cost of unhealed Trauma)

Welcome back to the Wholehearted Impact Podcast. Today, we are having a crucial, heart-to-heart conversation about something many of us try to run from: the actual, tangible cost of unhealed trauma. The truth is, your past wounds will not stay buried. When we refuse to process our pain, it doesn't disappear, it gets stuck. It dysregulates our nervous system, sabotages our relationships, skews our leadership, and ultimately turns into deep-seated physical suffering and dis-ease inside our bodies. In this episode, I share a deeply personal chapter of my story that I hardly ever talk about. At 30 years old, I underwent a radical hysterectomy that instantly threw me into menopause. I lost the chance to have more babies—a choice I deeply regret to this day. Looking back, I see with absolute clarity how that physical crisis was the direct result of unhealed emotional trauma stuck inside my body. I ignored the warning signs, I ignored a vivid dream, and I even ignored a prophetic warning from a friend the night before my surgery because I just wanted the pain to stop. Trauma doesn’t always look like a massive, dramatic event. Sometimes it wears the mask of overachievement, toxic relationship patterns, self-sabotage, or emotional numbness. But awareness is 90% of the work. When we approach our patterns with curiosity instead of judgment, we open the door for God to transform our survival mode into a beautiful, wholehearted purpose. What We’re Unpacking in This Episode:The Trapped Pain Trap: How unhealed trauma manifests as physical dis-ease and cell dysfunction when we stuff our emotions down. The Subtle Masks of Trauma: Recognizing how trauma hides behind overachievement, self-sabotage, emotional shutdown, mistrust, and boundary-less relationships. The Vicious Cycle of Numbing: Breaking free from the compound guilt and shame of using addictive behaviors to stay "comfortable."My Hardest Regret: The story of my radical hysterectomy at 30, the warning from a friend I ignored, and the cost of choosing suffering over healing. From Victim to Creator: How to stop looking at the world through a wounded lens and step fully into your God-given power to create change.Curiosity Over Judgment: Using compassion to observe your behaviors without beating yourself up, unlocking the true potential for healing. My Journaling Invitation For YouI want to lovingly challenge you to take some quiet time this week to sit with this question: Where has unhealed pain been costing me more than I realize? Be honest, drop the judgment, and offer yourself compassion as you write. Episode 24: How to Know You Need a Reset

Have you ever looked incredibly strong on the outside while secretly carrying deep emotional pain on the inside? If so, you are not alone. There are so many high-capacity women and leaders who are constantly praised for their strength, while quietly hiding marriage issues, anxiety, depression, or severe coping habits behind closed doors. In this episode, I want to challenge the idea that we have to leave our personal lives at the door to be successful. We are whole people, and when we try to act strong instead of being honest about how we actually feel, we fragment ourselves. I’m getting radically vulnerable in this conversation about my own journey—from navigating the heavy stress of releasing team members in my business to how my nervous system defaults to control and irritability when I’m running on empty. Strength without healing is exhausting. What We’re Unpacking in This Episode: - The Danger of Fragmentation: Why forcing yourself (or your team) to leave your personal life at the door destroys true, authentic connection. - The High-Performer Hideout: Why leaders hide severe struggles like addiction, marriage issues, and anxiety—and how it makes us physically sick. - 7 Signs You’re Carrying Hidden Pain: How to spot overworking, overgiving, controlling behavior, irritability, emotional numbness, people-pleasing, and perfectionism in your own life. - The Biology of Stuffed Emotions: How emotional numbness and unaddressed trauma get stuck in the body, creating actual "dis-ease" and dysfunction in our cells. - The Ultimate Truth: Why success does not mean you are healed.
