Kinda like when the flight attendant on the plane tells you to put the oxygen mask on you first, right? Make sure you're dialed in, refreshed, on the same page and connected with your spouse.

    Assigning titles and setting the example for your children and communities

    Although titles aren't entirely important, if you are a spouse, don't settle for a lesser title because you think you don't deserve the title of the owner. You do! You don't need to give yourself a title based on the things you do for the company. You are an owner, and you will wear many hats and do many things so call yourself an owner, except example and own that shit.  Your kids see you. They watch you. They want to grow up like you. So realize that you're setting the example for them or how to create a life they want and you are teaching them how to be an entrepreneur so pay attention, because they are!

    Don't Skip Date Night!

If you don't, you will crave it more and start to idolize it which will take your energy and focus off of other important things as well as cause detriment on the relationship. If you prioritize it, you will not only be happier in your relationship, but that will add confidence in you which will carry over to your business.

    In this episode you will hear how and where we met and our professional career together. You will also hear about what NOT to do, which we learned the hard way, on nitpicking each other on spending. When it comes time to pay all the bills for the business, you ever have times where you bring your personal finances and spending into the conversation?  It's all about changing you mindset to say "I just need to generate more revenue to cover this then" instead of "Why did you buy this!?" Also, one of the biggest keys to success is never giving up! if you stay disciplined in your daily tasks, you're bound to succeed eventually. And don't forget to invest in yourself first. This means trainings, seminars, books, podcasts etc.

    The Involvement Conversation

    Its absolutely imperative to have the conversation about involvement. This means asking your partner, "What do you want to do in the company". Then comes the tricky part...shut up and listen!! just because you have a need for them somewhere in the company, doesn't mean that's what they want to do. Forcing them to do something that they don't really want to do WILL make them resentful and will cause problems. Even if they agree to do it, for a little while to "help out" don't let them, it will only cause tension down the road. Its important to allow your partner to do what they WANT to do in the business and not what you NEED them to. keeping them happy is one of the best ways to keep some of the work stresses away from the dinner table and out of the bedroom.
