    This is Genocide In A Single Man part two, a continuation of the monologue that you heard last week. It describes the moment when the narrator realized that she had been facing oppression and neglect in her relationship with her partner for such a long time, all because she wanted to get married. She had been tormented greatly by a man who did not love her but who would continue to berate and belittle her because he was simply a bully and manipulative in a of his way. She had only just realized the gravity of the fall she took by being with him.

    In sickness and in health, till death do us part... I remember writing this particular piece and I had so many thoughts. It came with a voice carrying rage and madness, I imagined the character made drunk by scarlet in a cup, laughing loudly in a prisoner's attire. But this will do, I am not healthy enough to do all of the things that I wanted to do for this piece and time will not allow me.     Female subjugation. Subjecting, harassing and domestically abusing young girls, are cancers deeply embedded in the body of our dear African societies. We have culture laced with this polluted and abusive threads, tightly knit to norms and value systems which are very harmful to the mind and spirit. Today's Armageddon piece talks about these things. It portrays the anger of an African girl who is typically living the "abnormal life" that would be familiar only to perpetrators and enablers of Gender-Based Violence in a domestic setting.
