In this brief final episode of the Free Range Dogs podcast, Web speaks with his wife, Nicole, about their upcoming move to the Pacific Northwest. They will continue with Free Range Dogs training and support and will be adding Web’s innovative Porcupine Aversion training for dogs to protect them from a very common danger in the Pacific Northwest. Although the podcast will be coming to an end, the website resources and blogging will continue, and look in the near future for short videos on Free Range Dogs and the Free Range Dogs lifestyle.

In this episode, Web talks again to his longtime friend and colleague, David Gowdey, about working as an environmental advocate.  The conversation begins by acknowledging that in the past, all hunters were also conservationists who worked to maintain the natural world and the animals that lived in it.  As Web and Dave are both bird hunters, they have experienced firsthand the significant changes and declines in habitat and bird populations and have been involved in efforts to restore habitat and prevent its destruction.

Dave talks about growing up where the culture regarding dogs was that they lived separately in outdoor quarters and were considered tools for hunting.  As an adult, meeting and hunting with Web transformed his view of dogs who now live in the house with him and his wife and are an important part of the family.
