    The Art of Interpretation and Collaboration: Paola Estrella on Painting and Performance

    Interactuando con la ciencia: la ceramica de Ayla Tavares

    En nuestra segunda temporada de mujeres artistas desde America Latina exploramos la obra de diversas artistas latinaomericanas exhibidas en Arco 2024. En este episodio, Daniela Galán conversa con la artista brasileña Ayla Tavares sobre su innovador trabajo en cerámica, explorando la materialidad, la ciencia y su recorrido como artista brasileña en España. En este episodio, escucharás sobre: El enfoque único de Ayla en la cerámica y su observación crítica a la la arqueología Su rigurosa investigación científica sobre la permeabilidad del agua y las membranas y como estas historias son narradas en la cerámica. La cerámica como objetos interactivos que transforman el espacio e invitan al espectador a participar Obras que exploran la forma de la cerámica como canales de comunicación e intercambio Reflexiones de Ayla sobre identidad artística, y sus experiencias como artista brasileña en Europa.     Visiones: una conversacion con Sandra Vasquez de la Horra

    ¡Bienvenidos a Mujeres Artistas de América Latina, un podcast de Amalgama! En este episodio, Daniela Galán conversa con la talentosa artista chilena Sandra Vásquez de la Horra.     The poetry of everyday life, a conversation with Donna Conlon

    In this episode, we’re delighted to bring you a wonderful conversation between Daniela Galan and Panama-based visual artist Donna Conlon. A profoundly insightful artist, Donna describes her own work as a socio-archaeological inquiry into my immediate surroundings. She uses her previous training as a biologist to highlight, through her art, the beauty and poetry that exists in everyday life. Donna talks about her experience as a migrant artist - what it means to leave your home to create a new home and life elsewhere; her micro obsessions with diverse aspects of the natural world, from birds to ants; her collaborative works with Jonathan Harker and much more. Conlon participated in the 51st Venice Biennale of 2005; has works in the permanent collections of the Guggenheim and the Tate, amongst other institutions; and more recently, has been included in Phaidon's book Latin American Artists from 1785 fo Now.     The Fine Line: A conversation with Lizi Sanchez & Macarena Rojas Osterling

    In this episode, we bring you a conversation with London-based Peruvian artists Macarena Rojas Osterling and Lizi Sanchez during a walkthrough of our recent exhibition - The Fine Line - curated by Daniela Galan and Jane Soliman, and held at the diverse arts space Cromwell Place in London’s South Kensington. Delving into the extensive legacy of Latin American artists examining the relationship between writing and drawing, Daniela discusses with the artists the nuances of mark-making whilst exploring the gestures and bodily expressions that reveal our connection with language beyond mere communication.
