    Make Room | Dave Miers

Life is busy, our calendars are full, and even good things can distract us from Jesus. In Luke 10:38–42, Hebrews 10:19–25, and Matthew 9:35–38, we’re invited to make room to know Christ, love the church, and serve the city. There’s a feast at the feet of Jesus, a church family to help us keep trusting him, and a city that needs the good Shepherd who laid down his life for the sheep. As we look towards 2027, let’s be intentional with our time and attention. Sit at Jesus’ feet, encourage one another, and share his compassion for those around us. 📖 Luke 10:38-42, Hebrews 10:19-25, Matthew 9:35-38 🎙️ Preached by The Reverend Dave Miers at Christ our Refuge on 25 October 2026 Watch on YouTube: https://youtu.be/CVcZcFD6FXE 📝 Outline: 1/ MAKE ROOM TO KNOW CHRISTLuke 10:38–42 2/ MAKE ROOM TO LOVE THE CHURCHHebrews 10:19–25 3/ MAKE ROOM TO SERVE THE CITYMatthew 9:35–38 🎥 Filmed and published by Good News Unlimited⸻🔗 Learn more or connect with us: ⛪️ Christ our Refuge is a gospel-centred church in Brisbane, Australia, offering refuge, security, and hope in Christ. https://christrefuge.co 👓 Good News Unlimited exists to help everyday people see Jesus clearly in God’s word... so they can enjoy grace, life, and hope without limits. https://goodnewsunlimited.com 🙌 Subscribe for weekly sermons, biblical teaching, and gospel encouragement.⸻#goodnewsunlimited #seejesusclearly #christrefugeco  #gospel #bibleteaching #sermon #Jesus

Emblems of Grace — Baptism + The Lord's Supper | Dave Miers

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are more than badges or symbols of our commitment. In Romans 6 and 1 Corinthians 11, we see how these gifts from Jesus help us remember and celebrate the gospel of grace: we are united with Christ in his death and resurrection, and we share communion with him and his people. Whether you were baptised as an infant or as a believer, remember who you are in Christ. And as you come to the Lord’s Table, feed on him in your heart by faith. His grace is worth celebrating. 📖 Matthew's Gospel, Romans 6, 1 Corinthians 11 🎙️ Preached by The Reverend Dave Miers at Christ our Refuge on 18 October 2026 Watch on YouTube: https://youtu.be/aqxlqqSIGkY 🎥 Filmed and published by Good News Unlimited⸻🔗 Learn more or connect with us: ⛪️ Christ our Refuge is a gospel-centred church in Brisbane, Australia, offering refuge, security, and hope in Christ. https://christrefuge.co 👓 Good News Unlimited exists to help everyday people see Jesus clearly in God’s word... so they can enjoy grace, life, and hope without limits. https://goodnewsunlimited.com 🙌 Subscribe for weekly sermons, biblical teaching, and gospel encouragement.⸻#goodnewsunlimited #seejesusclearly #christrefugeco  #gospel #bibleteaching #sermon #Jesus

The Man Who Walked Out Forgiven — Mark 2 | Glenn Davies

A crowded house, four determined friends, and a paralysed man lowered through the roof. Everyone expects Jesus to heal him. Instead, Jesus says, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” In Mark 2:1–12, Glenn Davies shows why forgiveness is the deeper miracle and why Jesus alone has authority to give it. The healing that follows proves that Jesus is more than a teacher or miracle-worker: he is God among us, able to make sinners whole. Whatever your past, shame or uncertainty, don’t walk away wondering whether forgiveness is possible. Come to Jesus, trust his word, and walk out knowing your sins are forgiven. 📖 Mark 2:1-12 🎙️ Preached by The Right Reverend Dr Glenn Davies (Bishop of the Diocese of the Southern Cross) at Christ our Refuge on 11 October 2026 Watch on YouTube: https://youtu.be/uRkKECzyoD8 🎥 Filmed and published by Good News Unlimited⸻🔗 Learn more or connect with us: ⛪️ Christ our Refuge is a gospel-centred church in Brisbane, Australia, offering refuge, security, and hope in Christ. https://christrefuge.co 👓 Good News Unlimited exists to help everyday people see Jesus clearly in God’s word... so they can enjoy grace, life, and hope without limits. https://goodnewsunlimited.com 🙌 Subscribe for weekly sermons, biblical teaching, and gospel encouragement.⸻#goodnewsunlimited #seejesusclearly #christrefugeco  #gospel #bibleteaching #sermon #Jesus

Forget Not All His Benefits — Psalm 103 | Dave Miers

Forgetting can be costly—especially when we forget who God is and what he has done. In Psalm 103, David calls us to praise the Lord and remember his benefits: his steadfast love, complete forgiveness and fatherly compassion. These blessings find their fullness in Jesus, through whom we are loved, forgiven and adopted into God’s family. Our identity is secure in him, no matter what others say about us or what shame we carry. Remember who you are in Christ. Praise the LORD. Forget not all his benefits. 📖 Psalm 103 🎙️ Preached by Rev. True and Good News — Ephesians 6:1-9 | Zach Conway

God’s word is true—but do we delight in its goodness? In Ephesians 6:1–9, we see how knowing Christ transforms our families and working lives. Children honour their parents, parents nurture their children, and workers and bosses serve with sincerity and care. These instructions flow from the good news that Jesus has redeemed us and our identity is secure in him. His grace shapes how we love, lead and serve, even when no one is watching. Hold firmly to God’s truth. Delight in his goodness. Let knowing Christ shape your everyday life. 📖 Ephesians 6:1-9 🎙️ Preached by Dr Zach Conway at Christ our Refuge on 27 September 2026 Watch on YouTube: https://youtu.be/SGbATQ4PM5Q 📝 Outline: 1/ HOW IS GOD’S TRUE WORD GOOD FOR FAMILIES?Ephesians 6:1–4 2/ HOW IS GOD’S TRUE WORD GOOD FOR WORKERS?Ephesians 6:5–9 🎥 Filmed and published by Good News Unlimited⸻🔗 Learn more or connect with us: ⛪️ Christ our Refuge is a gospel-centred church in Brisbane, Australia, offering refuge, security, and hope in Christ. https://christrefuge.co 👓 Good News Unlimited exists to help everyday people see Jesus clearly in God’s word... so they can enjoy grace, life, and hope without limits. https://goodnewsunlimited.com 🙌 Subscribe for weekly sermons, biblical teaching, and gospel encouragement.⸻#goodnewsunlimited #seejesusclearly #christrefugeco  #gospel #bibleteaching #sermon #Jesus

    God's Promise Remains — Genesis 23-25 | Dave Miers

What will happen when we’re no longer here? Genesis 23–25 brings Abraham’s story to a close: Sarah and Abraham die, Isaac and Rebekah begin life together, and God’s promise remains. As we conclude our Count the Stars series, we see God’s faithfulness through grief, change and a future we cannot control. Jesus weeps with those who mourn and, through his death and resurrection, secures lasting hope for all who trust in him. With our eyes fixed on Jesus, we can take faithful steps today without knowing everything tomorrow will bring. Trust God while you’re here. Entrust the future to him. ✨ Count the Stars | Genesis 12–25 Series 📖 Genesis 23-25 🎙️ Preached by Rev. The LORD Will Provide — Genesis 22 | Dave Miers

Can we trust God when we don’t understand what he’s doing? Genesis 22 brings Abraham’s faith under extraordinary pressure as God asks him to offer his beloved son, Isaac. Abraham trusts God’s promise, and the Lord provides a ram in Isaac’s place. The story points us to Jesus—the beloved Son whom God gave for us, the Lamb of God who takes away our sin. James 2 brings the challenge home: genuine faith takes shape in costly obedience, in everyday life and in hard times. We are saved by what Jesus has done, and that grace changes how we live. ✨ Count the Stars | Genesis 12–25 Series 📖 Genesis 22:1-19 🎙️ Preached by Rev Dave Miers at Christ our Refuge on 13 September, 2026 Watch on YouTube: https://youtu.be/H9ulPjkhgU4 📝 Outline: 1/ WHAT HAPPENED?Genesis 22 2/ WHY DID IT HAPPEN?Genesis 22:1Genesis 22:12Genesis 22:8, 14Hebrews 11:17-19 3/ WHAT DO WE LEARN ABOUT JESUS?John 3:16John 1:29Romans 8:32 4/ WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR US?James 2:14-26 🎥 Filmed and published by Good News Unlimited⸻🔗 Learn more or connect with us: ⛪️ Christ our Refuge is a gospel-centred church in Brisbane, Australia, offering refuge, security, and hope in Christ. https://christrefuge.co 👓 Good News Unlimited exists to help everyday people see Jesus clearly in God’s word... so they can enjoy grace, life, and hope without limits. https://goodnewsunlimited.com 🙌 Subscribe for weekly sermons, biblical teaching, and gospel encouragement.

Transforming Grace — Genesis 21 | Dave Miers

What difference does grace make? Genesis 21 reveals amazing grace as God keeps his promise and Sarah’s laughter becomes joyful celebration. We see common grace as God establishes Isaac as the promised heir while hearing and caring for Ishmael in the wilderness. And we glimpse transforming grace as Abraham deals peacefully with Abimelech, showing kindness in response to kindness received. Titus 2:11–14 brings us to Jesus, who gave himself to redeem us and make us a people eager to do good. The grace that saves us also trains us—shaping how we live and how we treat others. ✨ Count the Stars | Genesis 12–25 Series 📖 Genesis 21:1-34 🎙️ Preached by Rev Dave Miers at Christ our Refuge on 6 September, 2026 Watch on YouTube: https://youtu.be/Zs8qEnm_P_A 📝 Outline: 1/ AMAZING GRACEGenesis 21:1–8 2/ COMMON GRACEGenesis 21:9–21 3/ TRANSFORMING GRACEGenesis 21:22–34Titus 2:11–14 🎥 Filmed and published by Good News Unlimited⸻🔗 Learn more or connect with us: ⛪️ Christ our Refuge is a gospel-centred church in Brisbane, Australia, offering refuge, security, and hope in Christ. https://christrefuge.co 👓 Good News Unlimited exists to help everyday people see Jesus clearly in God’s word... so they can enjoy grace, life, and hope without limits. https://goodnewsunlimited.com 🙌 Subscribe for weekly sermons, biblical teaching, and gospel encouragement.
