The Chair You Didn't Choose | Pastor Chris Kouba

What do you do with the person at your table that you didn't choose and can't get away from? Maybe it's a family member. An ex. A coworker. Someone who has hurt you, frustrated you, or made your life more difficult. You can't simply remove the chair, so how do you honor God while the relationship remains hard? In 1 Samuel 24, David finds himself face-to-face with Saul, the very man who has been hunting him and trying to kill him. David has the perfect opportunity to take revenge, but instead he chooses a different path. The bottom line of this message is simple: Leaders honor God even when relationships become difficult. In this message, we look at four ways David honored God in one of the most difficult relationships of his life: • Follow your conviction, not the crowd. • Honor God, not the person. • Speak it, don't spread it. • Let God have the last word, not you. David shows us that honoring God doesn't mean pretending someone is safe when they aren't, ignoring wrongdoing, or refusing to speak the truth. It means refusing to take revenge into your own hands and trusting God with the outcome. Sometimes you don't get the apology. Sometimes the relationship doesn't get fixed. Sometimes the other person doesn't change. But you can still walk away with a clean conscience and a God who is keeping His promises. The Lone Ranger | Pastor Chris Kouba

Are you a lone ranger? Most of us would answer that question proudly: “Yeah. I handle my own stuff.” But what happens when the call comes? The diagnosis. The emergency room. The heartbreak. The moment when everything falls apart. Who do you call next? In 1 Samuel 18, 20, and 23, we see one of the most powerful pictures of friendship in the Bible through the relationship between David and Jonathan. David was becoming king, but he didn't become a great leader alone. Jonathan stood beside him, fought for him, protected him, and ultimately pointed him back to God. The bottom line of this message is simple: Leaders need a friend who will fight for them. In this message, we look at four characteristics of a true friend: • A friend who fights for you trades his future for yours. • A friend who fights for you goes looking for an answer he doesn't want. • A friend who fights for you steps in front of the spear. • A friend who fights for you comes back when you're empty. Jonathan shows us that real friendship isn't just about being there when things are easy. It's about loyalty when it costs you something, courage when someone else is taking the fire, and pointing your friend back to God when there is nothing else you can do. The best thing a friend can ever do for you is not carry you. It is put you back in the hands of the One who can. Nobody Saved Him a Seat | Pastor Chris Kouba

What do you do when you feel overlooked, forgotten, or like no one sees your potential? In 1 Samuel 16, David wasn't invited to the gathering. His own father didn't think he was worth calling in from the field. Yet while everyone else judged appearances, God saw the heart—and chose the forgotten shepherd to become Israel's greatest king. In this first message of The King's Table series, we discover a powerful truth: Leaders need someone who sees what God sees in them. Whether you're leading a family, a business, a classroom, or simply trying to stay faithful where God has you, this message will encourage you to trust God's timing, embrace the hidden season, and become the kind of person who calls greatness out of others. In this message you'll learn: • Why God values the heart over outward appearance. • How hidden seasons prepare us for future purpose. • The importance of having a "Samuel" who speaks into your life. • How you can become that person for someone else. Key Scripture: 1 Samuel 16:1–13 If this message encouraged you, don't forget to Like, Subscribe, and Share it with someone who needs the reminder that God hasn't forgotten them. #TheKingsTable #David #1Samuel16 #ChristianLeadership #Faith #Sermon #BibleTeaching #Leadership #Purpose #UnitedCityChurch Thanks for listening! Serve One Another | Pastor Jason Mick

Serve One Another | The Mindset of Christ That Changes Everything | Philippians 2:1-11 What does it really mean to serve one another? In a world that tells us to look out for ourselves, Jesus calls us to a completely different way of living. In Philippians 2, the Apostle Paul points us to Christ—the ultimate Servant King—who left heaven, humbled Himself, and gave His life so that we could be saved. When we truly understand the Gospel, serving stops feeling like an obligation and becomes a joyful response to God's grace.  In this message, you'll discover: * Why serving begins with the heart, not just our hands * How Jesus modeled true humility and sacrificial love * What Philippians 2 teaches about living like Christ * Why serving is ultimately a lordship issue, not just a volunteer issue * Practical next steps for serving your church, your family, and your community Whether you're new to church, a longtime believer, or looking to grow in your faith, this message will challenge you to embrace the mindset of Christ and live a life marked by humility, love, and service.  📖 **Scripture:** • Philippians 2:1–11 • Mark 10:45 • 1 Peter 4:10 If this message encouraged you, be sure to: 👍 Like this video 💬 Share in the comments: *Where is God calling you to serve?* 🔔 Subscribe for more biblical teaching and weekly messages that help you grow in your walk with Christ. #ServeOneAnother #Philippians2 #Jesus #ChristianSermon #BibleTeaching #Humility #ServantLeadership #FaithInAction #Church #Gospel #KingdomLiving #FollowJesus #ChristianLiving #UnitedCityChurch Thanks for listening! Love One Another | Pastor Montaega Harrison

What if the greatest testimony of your life isn't how your love story begins—but how it endures? In this message, "Love One Another," we explore Jesus' powerful command in John 13 to love others the same way He has loved us. On the night before the cross, Jesus didn't spend His final moments talking about success, influence, or even theology. He washed His disciples' feet—including Judas'—and gave His followers one defining mark: love. Whether you're struggling to love difficult people, feeling spiritually empty, or simply wanting to reflect Jesus more faithfully, this message will challenge and encourage you. Together we'll explore three diagnostic questions: • Do I know His love? • Do I reflect His love? • Have I received His love? You'll discover why biblical love is more than emotion, why loving others starts with receiving God's love yourself, and how the Gospel gives us the power to love people who are difficult, disappointing, and even undeserving. No matter where you are in your faith journey, Jesus invites you into a love that changes everything. Is Jesus really the only way to God? It's one of the most controversial questions in our culture. Many people believe that all religions are simply different paths leading to the same destination. But is that what Jesus claimed? In Week 4 of our **Taboo** series, Pastor Jerbin Romero opens Scripture to examine one of Christianity's boldest claims: that Jesus isn't merely a teacher pointing toward God—He is God, and He alone is the way to salvation. Looking at John 14:6, Acts 4:12, Colossians 2, Galatians 1, and other key passages, this message explores why the exclusivity of Christ is not meant to produce arrogance, but compassion. If Jesus truly is the only way, then the Church has the greatest message of hope the world has ever known.  this message you'll discover: * Why Jesus didn't point to the way—He claimed to be the Way. * Why the resurrection changes everything. * What makes Christianity different from every other religion. * How to lovingly engage Muslims, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, and people of other beliefs. * Why being secure in Christ should make us more compassionate, not more prideful. * How to confidently share your faith with those who don't know Jesus. **Key Scripture:** John 14:6 Acts 4:12 Colossians 2:8–10 Galatians 1:8 2 Corinthians 11:4 If this message encouraged or challenged you, be sure to like this video, subscribe to the channel, and share it with someone searching for truth.
