The Attack Comes After the Assignment: Protecting Your Identity in God

There comes a moment when you realize the attack wasn’t random—it was connected to your assignment. The enemy doesn’t waste time attacking what isn’t a threat. He attacks your identity because he knows if he can make you question who God says you are, he can delay where God is taking you. In this episode of Healing Women of Color, we dive deep into spiritual warfare, identity, resistance, shame, doubt, and why old people, old habits, and old doors often reappear when you’re stepping into a new season. We unpack Scripture and expose the enemy’s tactics while recognizing the power, guidance, and conviction of the Holy Spirit to help us stand firm. This is your reminder: -Protect your oil. -Guard your identity. - Keep your hands on the plow. -Don’t look back. -The assignment is worth the warfare. If you’ve been feeling resistance, this episode will remind you that God has not forgotten you. You are chosen, called, equipped, anointed, and empowered for everything He has placed in your hands. It’s time to move. It’s time to put on the blinders. It’s time to walk boldly into your God-given assignment.   Disclaimer: This podcast is for informational and inspirational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional mental health advice.   Privacy Notice: This podcast may use analytics through its hosting platform to understand listenership and improve content. Discernment Over Distraction: The Cost

Discernment Over Distraction The enemy doesn’t always have to destroy you… Sometimes all he has to do is distract you. Distraction is one of the enemy’s most subtle strategies. It doesn’t always show up as something sinful—it often comes disguised as busyness, relationships, offense, fear, social media, people-pleasing, or opportunities that were never assigned to you by God. If he can keep your attention divided, he can delay your obedience. If he can delay your obedience, he can deter you from walking fully in the purpose and destiny God has for your life. In this episode, we’re talking about how to recognize distractions, guard your focus, and remain faithful to the assignment God has placed on your life. We’ll dive into powerful Scriptures including: 📖 Hebrews 12:1–2 📖 Luke 10:38–42 📖 Nehemiah 6:3 📖 Proverbs 4:25–27 📖 Matthew 4:1–11 📖 Luke 9:62 You’ll also learn 7 practical ways to protect your attention, strengthen your discernment, and stay focused on God’s purpose—even when distractions are pulling at you from every direction. Remember: You are not available for everything that competes for your attention. This season, you are choosing purpose over pressure, peace over chaos, discernment over distraction, and obedience over delay. You are too valuable and too powerful to leave your focus unguarded. Listen now, and if this episode encourages you, share it with someone who needs the reminder that their destiny is worth protecting. The Truth About Fake Loyalty

In this powerful episode of Healing Women of Color, we uncover the difference between real loyalty and fake loyalty. Using the story of Judas and Jesus, we explore how someone can be close to you, have access to you, and still not be loyal to you. Presence is not proof of loyalty. Chemistry is not proof of loyalty. History is not proof of loyalty. Real loyalty is revealed under pressure, not convenience. Together, we’ll discuss how emotional boundaries and spiritual discernment work hand in hand to help you recognize unhealthy patterns, stop confusing access with alignment, and protect your heart from people who repeatedly show inconsistent character. This episode is for anyone who has been hurt by betrayal, disappointed by conditional relationships, or grieving people they thought were solid. You’ll learn how to trust patterns over promises, strengthen your discernment, and release relationships that were never built on genuine loyalty. -This season, we’re choosing clarity over confusion. -This season, we’re honoring what people repeatedly show us. -This season, we’re letting fake loyalty lose access. Because sometimes the pain isn’t that they changed—it’s that you finally saw what was always there. You are rare. You are valuable. You are becoming.   Disclaimer: This podcast is for informational and inspirational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional mental health advice.   Privacy Notice: This podcast may use analytics through its hosting platform to understand listenership and improve content. Love Isn’t What Sustains a Relationship—Capacity Is

Many of us have been taught that love is enough to make a relationship work. But the truth is, love alone cannot sustain a healthy relationship. Real love requires capacity—the emotional, mental, spiritual, and relational ability to show up consistently, communicate effectively, regulate emotions, practice self-control, and love with maturity. In this episode, we explore how unhealed trauma, survival mode, poor communication, and emotional immaturity can sabotage even the deepest feelings of love. We discuss the importance of emotional regulation, healthy communication, character, selflessness without self-abandonment, and the role healing plays in expanding our capacity to love well. Most importantly, we are reminded that capacity can be built. Through healing, self-awareness, accountability, and faith, God can help us become the people capable of sustaining the very love we’ve been praying for. This episode is an invitation to stop asking only for love and start asking for the wisdom, healing, and emotional maturity necessary to steward it. Key Message: Love is the spark. Capacity is the container. Don’t lose love because you never developed the skills to sustain it.   Disclaimer: This podcast is for informational and inspirational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional mental health advice.   Privacy Notice: This podcast may use analytics through its hosting platform to understand listenership and improve content.
