Is Spy X Family Losing Its Way?

Spy x Family Code White movie has released in theaters FINALLY, so of course I wanted to share my thoughts on it. HOWEVER, I ALSO wanted to take the time to address some misinformation out there about Spy x Family creator Tetsoya Endo and stress the importance of checking sources especially when it comes to anime deep dives or researching about people's lives. I do my best to have my sources listed in my description because I do not ever want to come across as someone who just knows everything off the top of my head, I don't always hence the research, or like I'm shooting from the hip. I share my opinions here and there, but I do not treat my opinions as law of the land especially when speaking on people and their art. It feels somewhere along the line we have lost the plot as observers of this artform especially when it comes to Spy x Family on taking misinformation as face value. And I hope from this video we can talk about that when it comes to not only Spy x Family but Endo's works entirely! I want to encourage you all to check out Tetsuya Endo's other works such as Ash of Purgatory, I Spy and Blade of the Moon Princess! Those are my personal favorites! He does have more than those but this episode is not a full deep dive so I only highlighted the ones that really stood out to me. I do not think Spy x Family is losing it's way, I think misinformation has lead fans things that are untrue. As a writer, I think it's perfectly okay to not have deep attachments to your characters. For some creatives having deep attachment works, for others not so much. No one path of creation is the "right" way, it's just whatever path is chosen to get the ideas from your head to paper. I personally can tell from the beginning if an author may be too attached to characters or dislike them (STARES HARD AT GEGE) sometimes it works and sometimes it can stifle the work. It really depends, BUT that is where a good editor comes in and helps streamline the process for us to consume! I hope you enjoyed my review of Spy x Family Code: White and get to see it in theatres soon! ✨Follow me on Social Media✨ ✨Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/miladyconfetti/ ✨TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@miladyconfetti?source=h5_m ✨Twitch https://www.twitch.tv/miladyconfetti ✨Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/miladyconfetti ✨Sources of This Episode✨ Provided on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/miladyconfetti ✨Music✨ Cherry Bomb- MiladyConfetti 2024

Exploring Cutie Honey: Revolutionary Or Controversial?

Cutie Honey is undoubtedly one of THE most influential and controversial pieces of work since it's publishing over 50 years ago. While it pushed the Magical Girl Genre and it's themes beyond what was thought Magical Girls were thought to be, especially being a Shonen, it did force people to reckon with the question of where is the line when it comes to entertainment aimed at children when it comes to certain themes. Coming of age stories like Horimiya, heck even Naruto are great and should be celebrated for what they are, but when the but when the content/ "substance" of a show is 99.999999% fan service hmmmmmm questions have to be raised. Nagai is a pioneer in the manga industry and has written and illustrated many works. While he knew his works whether that be in Sci-fi, Horror, Magical Girl or historical would push boundaries on censorship, it is also interesting to know that his "portrayals" of certain characters were so OUT there that an entirely new genre was created that centered on $*x jokes within the Shonen category. While Adults write Young adult novels and manga all of the time, and handle coming of age stories of love, self-discovery, deep feelings, heartbreak and so much more, sometimes we do have to sit back and wonder....who is the actual target audience, where is the inspiration for these works coming from, and where do ethics, morality and art intersect? ✨Follow me on Social Media✨ ✨Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/miladyconfetti/ ✨TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@miladyconfetti ✨Twitch https://www.twitch.tv/miladyconfetti ✨Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/miladyconfetti   ✨Sources of This Episode✨ Provided on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/miladyconfetti ✨Music✨ Cherry Bomb by MiladyConfetti 2024
