No More Bad Days & The Gift of Life

For most of our lives, we are conditioned to believe that human life has to be a constant, heavy struggle. We stay locked in survival mode, and the moment our bodies feel uncomfortable or a few things go wrong, we immediately declare, "I’m having a bad day." But labeling the entire day as "bad" stretches a temporary circumstance across your entire power. In this episode, Tricia McKenna shares a radical, faith-fueled shift in perspective: completely stopping the "bad day" narrative and choosing to allow peace instead. This isn't about spiritual bypassing. There are absolutely days when physical sensations are intense, challenges feel raw, and things are heavy. But when you rest in your faith, you remember the beautiful truth that Jesus already said, "It is finished." The victory is already won. You don't have to ignore the hard moments, but you also don't have to let them ruin your day. By keeping the heavy moments small, you preserve your power and leave your life wide open for the joy, ease, and lightness that is already yours. Tune in, drop the struggle, and take the permission slip to declare: No more bad days. In this episode, we explore: The Danger of Labeling: How stretching a heavy moment across 24 hours invites the struggle mindset back in.Honoring the Reality Without Giving Up Your Power: Why acknowledging physical pain or raw challenges isn't the same as letting them claim your day.Resting in "It Is Finished": How stepping out of the forced grind and into His grace changes your biological and spiritual frequency. Why Your ‘I Am’ Statements Aren’t Working — Try This Instead

What if the reason your “I am” statements and mindset work aren’t creating the change you want is because the deeper shift isn’t happening in your thoughts — it’s happening in how you feel? In this episode, I share how discovering Karol Truman’s work changed everything for me. For years, I invested in personal development, counseling, therapy, and mindset work. Then I began understanding the importance of paying attention to what I was actually feeling every day. Peace. Happiness. Calm. Joy. Imagine how freeing it would feel if your happiness didn’t depend on someone else’s behavior, your bank account, your circumstances, or everything going according to plan. That is what I’ve been learning to cultivate in my own life. And in this episode, I don’t just talk about it — I take you through a simple experience so you can begin noticing what you’re feeling in your own body and intentionally connect with the feeling you want to create. This is the work that has become such a meaningful part of my own healing, the reason I started the Aligned by Faith podcast, and the foundation of what we practice inside Royal Courage. Life can still be life. Circumstances can still change. Other people can still make their own choices. And you can begin learning how to create peace within yourself, right where you are. Why This Podcast Was Born : How It Saved My Life

This episode is about why I started this podcast. Not for numbers.
Not for approval.
Not to say the “right” thing. I started it because I needed somewhere to tell the truth. The truth about survival.
The truth about living in a hurting body.
The truth about surgery recovery, chronic pain, mental health, grief, exhaustion, motherhood, trauma, healing, and all the invisible battles people carry while the world keeps moving. I know what it is like to have a body that has been through a lot. I know what it is like when physical pain starts bleeding into your thoughts.
When anesthesia, recovery, fear, fatigue, and pain make you feel unlike yourself.
When your body is hurting and your mind gets tired of fighting with it. And I know what it is like to survive things that changed me. Losing my eye as a young girl.
Becoming a teen mom.
Walking through hard seasons that demanded strength before I even knew I had it. There have been moments in my life when survival was not beautiful.
It was messy.
It was painful.
It was getting through one more day. And that is why I am going to keep recording this podcast. No matter what. If people do not like what I say, so what.
If they do not agree with me, so what.
If my truth makes someone uncomfortable, that does not mean I am supposed to stop telling it. I am not here to make everyone comfortable. I am here to use my voice. Because somewhere, there is a person listening from a hospital bed, a recovery room, a dark bedroom, a parked car, or a place in their own mind they do not know how to climb out of. And maybe they need to hear this: You survived. You are alive now. You have today. What are you going to do with it? This podcast was born from survival, but it has become something more. It has become a place where I can turn pain into purpose.
Where I can say the things I wish someone had said to me.
Where I can remind the person living inside a hurting body that their life is still here. And somewhere along the way, speaking became part of my healing too. This podcast did not just give me a platform. It gave me a reason to keep showing up. So I will keep recording.
I will keep telling the truth.
I will keep speaking about surgery recovery, chronic pain, mental health, resilience, healing, survival, and what it means to keep choosing life after life has tested you. Because if one person hears this at the exact moment they are thinking about giving up, then every word was worth saying. You survived. Now what are you going to do with today? If you have any questions , or want to chat with me send me an email at Tricia.Stwproperties@gmail.com and I’ll do my best to get back to you within 48 hours
