Chosen Isn't the Same as Safe.

This episode of The Sovereign Room is for the woman stepping back into dating after heartbreak, after a long relationship, after a season of choosing herself, who is wondering if she'll ever feel desired again, and how to tell the difference between being wanted and being respected. If you've ever left an interaction feeling flattered and unsettled at the same time, or found yourself questioning whether your standards are "too much," this episode offers language for what your body may already know. As a Naturopathic Doctor, Feminine Embodiment and Somatic Guide, and someone who just went on her first date in five years after ending a 12-year relationship, I know how disorienting it can feel when desire and safety don't automatically come as a package deal. What You'll Learn in This Episode: Why being desired is not the same as being respected: The difference between desire (immediate, hungry, "I want you") and reverence (paced, respectful, "I see you and I honor what you need") — and why magnetism calling someone in doesn't mean they get access to your body, energy, or heart. How your body collects data in real time — and why it's worth trusting: Learning to notice the small signals during a new connection — a comment that came too soon, a pace that outran your nervous system, a moment you laughed something off instead of naming it — instead of dismissing them in the moment. Why standards are protection, not punishment: Reframing boundaries and standards as the way you protect the woman you worked hard to become, rather than evidence that you're too closed off, too much, or too guarded. Returning to dating after a long relationship or a season of celibacy: Navigating the fear of being "too late" or "too complicated," and why magnetism was never about chasing — it's what happens when you come home to yourself. A practice for checking in with your body after a date or new connection: Questions to ask yourself afterward — where did I feel open, where did I feel tense, where did I override myself, and where did desire start to feel like pressure instead of connection. Work With Me You don't have to navigate dating, desire, and discernment alone. As a Naturopathic Doctor, Pelvic Floor Therapist, Feminine Embodiment and Somatic Guide, I help women rebuild trust in their own bodies so they can recognize the difference between being chosen and being honored. MATRIARCH MATRIARCH is my 12-week private cyclical health and embodiment mentorship for the high-capacity, self-aware woman ready to stop overriding her body and rebuild a deeper relationship with her rhythms, needs, and inner authority. You Can’t Rush the Birth: The Priming & Pruning Season

This episode of The Sovereign Room is for the woman who just crossed a finish line...a graduation, a breakup, a launch, any big transition and instead of feeling settled, feels the pressure to already be at the top of the mountain with it all figured out. If you’ve been asking yourself “why do I still feel behind when I did the thing?” or feeling the urgency to skip straight to arrived, settled, and secure, this episode offers a different way to hold that season. As a Naturopathic Doctor, Feminine Embodiment and Somatic Guide, and someone who just walked through this myself post-graduation, I know how loud the urgency can get to already have the job, the income, and the life put together and how much that urgency can actually cost you if you let it rush the process. What You’ll Learn in This Episode:Why the urge to skip to the end isn’t weakness, it’s exhaustion: Why wanting to already be “there” after a long season of doing the work usually isn’t impatience for its own sake...it’s your nervous system asking to be done being in process. Why your nervous system needs to recalibrate before you perform again: What it looks like to give yourself time to metabolize a demanding season (school, a transition, a loss) before jumping back into serving, producing, or proving. The difference between what you want and what you need: The journal prompt that sparked this whole episode, and how to use it to get honest about where urgency is running the show. Why you can’t rush a birth: The pregnancy and birth metaphor for this season of “priming and pruning” and what happens when we try to launch, decide, or arrive before we’re actually ready. How societal timelines fuel this urgency: Why the expectation to graduate → get licensed → get the job → go makes slowing down feel irresponsible, even when your body is asking for a pause. Work With MeYou don’t have to white-knuckle your way through a season of becoming alone. As a Naturopathic Doctor, Pelvic Floor Therapist, Feminine Embodiment and Somatic Guide, I help women slow down enough to actually metabolize what they’ve been through, rebuild self-trust, and step into what’s next from capacity instead of urgency. MATRIARCH MATRIARCH is my 12-week private cyclical health and embodiment mentorship for the high-capacity, self-aware woman ready to stop overriding her body and rebuild a deeper relationship with her rhythms, needs, and inner authority. Why Clarity isn't Something You Consume

This episode of The Sovereign Room is for the woman who has downloaded the freebie, signed up for the masterclass, bought the low-ticket offer, saved the podcast episode, and joined the container — and still doesn’t feel any clearer. If you’ve been wondering why more information hasn’t given you more clarity, or why you can know a framework by heart and still feel disconnected from your own voice, this episode offers a different way to think about where clarity actually comes from. As a Naturopathic Doctor, Feminine Embodiment and Somatic Guide, and someone who spent years believing clarity would arrive through just one more class, one more mentor, or the right framework, I know how exhausting it is to keep collecting information and end up feeling noisier instead of clearer. What You’ll Learn in This Episode:Why more consumption often creates noise instead of clarity: Why downloading another freebie, masterclass, or framework can feel productive while actually crowding out your own voice. How years of adapting and code-switching can disconnect you from your own voice: What happens when you get really good at reading the room and becoming whatever version of yourself feels safest — and why that makes it harder to hear your own clarity. Why unstimulated space creates more clarity than more information: How silence, movement, dancing, journaling, and working with plant medicine (Hapé) became the conditions where her best ideas actually arrived. The Fertile Void — letting a thought metabolize before deciding what it’s for: Her coined concept for the preconception phase where an idea gets to exist and be tended to before you decide whether it’s meant to be shared, marketed, or is simply a message for yourself. A practice for building trust with your own inner voice: A morning practice of silence, journaling, and movement designed to help you notice what keeps returning to you — and why that’s often exactly where your clarity lives. Work With MeYou don’t have to keep outsourcing your clarity to the next freebie, framework, or mentor. As a Naturopathic Doctor, Pelvic Floor Therapist, Feminine Embodiment and Somatic Guide, I help women build a deeper relationship with their own body and inner authority so clarity comes from within instead of from constant consumption. 3 Ways to Clear Your Channel & Feel Safe Being Heard

This episode of The Sovereign Room is about clearing the noise that gets in the way of your voice so you can speak, create, teach, or share without abandoning your body. If you’ve been overpreparing, rewriting the same sentence, recording the same reel five times, or looking outside yourself for the “right” thing to say, you’re in the right place. As someone who has spent years working with my own voice, nervous system, visibility, and embodiment, I know what it feels like to have something meaningful to say and immediately tighten, overthink, and try to make it perfect. Sometimes you do not have a voice problem. You have a pressure problem. The clarity you’re looking for may already be inside your body, intuition, nervous system, and voice. You may simply need to clear enough noise to hear it. What You’ll Learn in This Episode:1. Clear your body before you clear your message: How movement, humming, vocal toning, breath, and dropping back into your body can help your voice come through with more honesty and less performance. 2. Build confidence through repetition: Why confidence comes from using your voice, and how a 28-day voice practice can create more safety around being seen and heard. 3. Create a ritual before you speak: How I use vocal toning, breathwork, Kali Breath, and my personal relationship with Hapé to clear mental noise, reconnect with my body, and listen for what actually wants to come through. Why You Still Feel Dysregulated After Doing the Work

This episode of The Sovereign Room is for the woman who has tried breathwork, journaling, meditation, walking, somatic practices, sleep routines, and all the nervous system tools, but still feels exhausted, wired, heavy, disconnected, or like her body is not responding. If you’ve been wondering why you’re “doing everything right” and still not feeling better, this episode offers a more nuanced look at nervous system healing. As a Naturopathic Doctor, Feminine Embodiment and Somatic Guide, and someone who has personally experienced a season where the practices I believed in were no longer enough on their own, I know how much shame can come up when your body needs more support than you think it should. What You’ll Learn in This Episode:Why nervous system practices may not be enough on their own: Why breathwork, meditation, somatic practices, and rest can be supportive while your body may also need attention to sleep, food, hydration, minerals, movement, workload, environment, medical care, or additional support. How chronic busyness can become your body’s normal: What happens when your nervous system has spent years wired for productivity, stimulation, achievement, and constant movement, and why stillness can feel uncomfortable even when you have time to rest. How to know when your body is asking for more support: What it can look like when you are no longer recovering through rest alone, including poor sleep, jaw clenching, pelvic tension, doom scrolling, irritability, low motivation, heaviness, and disconnection. Why asking for help can be part of healing: My experience choosing extra support during a demanding season of life, including medical care and medication, and why receiving support did not erase the somatic, natural, emotional, or spiritual work I had already done. A whole-body approach to nervous system healing: How to look at the full picture of your health and ask what your body needs now instead of trying to force yourself into regulation. Work With MeYou do not have to keep trying to figure out your body alone. As a Naturopathic Doctor, Pelvic Floor Therapist, Feminine Embodiment and Somatic Guide, I help women understand what their bodies are communicating, rebuild self-trust, and create more personalized support around stress, nourishment, rest, rhythms, and embodied health. This episode of The Sovereign Room is packed with grounded reflections and practical tools to help you navigate desire, intimacy, boundaries, and dating without abandoning yourself in the process. If you’ve ever confused being wanted with being chosen, wondered whether you were moving too fast for your own body, or felt pressure to be more sexually open than you actually wanted to be, you’re in the right place. As a Naturopathic Doctor, Pelvic Floor Therapist, Feminine Embodiment and Somatic Guide, and a woman returning to dating after a 12-year relationship, I know how layered intimacy can feel when desire, cultural conditioning, nervous system safety, sexual shame, and the need to feel chosen all meet at once. What You’ll Learn in This Episode:Being Desired vs. Being Chosen: Why attention, chemistry, pursuit, and sexual desire can feel so powerful when you carry wounds around abandonment, visibility, or not feeling chosen, and how to notice when you are overriding yourself for connection. Sexual Sovereignty + Body Safety: How sexual empowerment can include desire, pleasure, boundaries, emotional safety, nervous system awareness, and allowing your body to have a real vote in intimacy. How to Recognize a Full-Body Yes: Questions to ask when chemistry, pressure, alcohol, loneliness, or the desire to feel wanted makes it harder to hear yourself clearly. You’ll also hear practical ways to check in with your body before, during, and after a date, what to notice when someone responds to your boundaries, and how your pelvic floor and nervous system can communicate information your mind may be trying to rationalize. 5 Ways to Build Confidence Speaking Up in Relationships

This episode of The Sovereign Room is about finding your voice in relationships when you are used to laughing things off, rationalizing your discomfort, or staying quiet to keep the peace. If you have ever told yourself, “It’s fine,” when your body knew it was not fine, this conversation is for you. Inside this episode, Sarah speaks to the woman who has learned to soften her truth, over-explain her feelings, or wait until she has the perfect words before saying what she needs to say. As a Naturopathic Doctor, Pelvic Floor Therapist, and Somatic Practitioner, Sarah brings a body-led lens to voice, relationships, nervous system safety, and self-trust. Because speaking up is not only about communication. It is also about teaching your body that your truth is allowed to exist outside of you. What You’ll Learn in This EpisodeWhy speaking up can feel so hard when you are used to laughing things off: You will learn how the body can turn silence into a survival strategy, especially when honesty has felt unsafe, inconvenient, dramatic, or “too much.” Why you do not need a perfect explanation before you speak: Sarah shares why waiting for the perfect words can become another form of self-abandonment, and how to begin letting your truth be real before it is perfectly packaged. 5 ways to build confidence speaking up in relationships: You will walk away with practical ways to start using your voice, including practicing with safer people, writing the letter you never send, rehearsing the conversation, and letting someone’s response give you information.
