    Inside Parental Alienation with World Expert Dr. Richard Warshak

    As a follow up to the interview with Victor Dohleman, who suffered through 25 years of Parental Alienation, expert Richard A. Warshak PhD, psychologist and author, regarded as one of the world’s foremost experts on this subject, picks up where Dohleman’s interview leaves off. Warshak provides a clearer definition of the signs this problematic “syndrome” and tells Host Glass why engaging in it is a detriment to a child’s well-being. He offers suggestions on how to avoid getting caught in this “parent trap,” what remedies to seek if you become a victim of it, and how to find peace of mind. Warshak, whose book, “Divorce Poison,” lays it all out, touches on highights of that informative tutorial, to help guide parents who either find themselves the perpetrator or the victim of badmouthing, gaslighting and/or brainwashing. As a former psychologist, Host Glass echoes Warshak’s commentary, since many of his cases include this problem. Warshak is a grad of Cornell University, a past Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and one of the world’s most respected authorities on divorce, child custody, and the psychology of alienated children. His groundbreaking studies appear in 18 books and more than 90 articles in 18 languages. Warshak’s work on relocation has influenced decisions in two Supreme Courts and his studies are cited in international case law and legislation.     This Hilarious Standup Comic Juggles His Hollywood Career | Ron Pearson

    This engaging and outstanding guest, Standup Comic, Ron Pearson, who has appeared on “The Late Show,” “Chelsea Lately,” the Dennis Miller Show,” “Nickmom, ”That 70s Show,”  Comedy Central and also who has warmed up audiences  for over 2000 episodes for TV for shows like, “The Price is Right, “ and was a regular on many other shows, like “Malcolm and Eddie,” “Two Guys and a Girl,” and “Mikand Pearson was featured with, Gabriel Iglecias on his Hit Netflix series, ”Iglecias,” with Tia Mowry on her new Netflix gig, “Family Reunion.”  Pearson talks about guidelines for the comedy his writes and performs.  Some of Pearson’s rules include putting the joke on yourself (rather than others) and writing humor based on the truth (it’s the funniest, Pearson claims). He then turns the tables on HOST GLASS, interviewing GLASS by firing off a series of serious questions about David’s background as a psychologist and a family law attorney. GLASS is sharp and quick as he adroitly answers Pearson’s questions without hesitation. Then things turn serious as Pearson gets a little melancholy as he shares about his childhood abandonment issues.  Pearson goes on to talk about what GLASS and he have in common and how comedy (always attacking something and divorce—often people attacking one another) seem to run on parallel tracks. Pearson is open, honest, laser quick, and utterly engaging. Once you start to watch this interview you can’t step away for even a second. It’s no mistake that the Hollywood Reporter dubbed Ron Pearson “a comic ball of fire.” He tours regularly and his upcoming dates appear at the end of this feel-good Episode.

    Self-probing/anxiety venting is the heart of this comic’s standup | Cathy Ladman

    In this Episode, the guest, Standup comic, Cathy Ladman, is open and frank with David as she discusses her own divorce. Cathy, who has appeared in several films such as, “What Planet are You From?” and “Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead) as well as the “Tonight” show, HBO and on TV shows like, “Man Men,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” and many other (see bio). She also is a writer and has appeared in many stage shows. Her comedy is open, candid and sometimes biting. She describes herself as self-probing and anxiety-venting and her material, she explains to David, stems from family experiences and relationships. She holds nothing back as she shares what drove her to a divorce and how important humor is as a tool for coping with the ups and downs of one. Nostalgic at times, she shares how and why she apologized to her daughter.

    Online Dating Comic Cat Lady Finds True Love | Robyn Lynne Norris

    ROBYN LYNNE NORRIS, comedy writer, improvisor, and theatrical performer, whose history includes more than 10,000 hours of improv, a large library of penned sketches, and sold out shows, joins HOST GLASS to talk about the impact of humor on those going through a breakup. NORRIS shares her story behind the show, which she created and starred in: “Date Me: An OK Cupid Experiment” (ran for eight years to sold out audiences) in which she and her creative partner set out to mock online dating sites. Norris, whose credits include the Emmy and PGA nominated “Epic Rap Battles of History” and the comedic pilot, “Expert Of,” is highly regarded at her home turf of The Second City, lets us know the “Date Me” show joke is on her since that “experiment” is how she found her “purrfect” husband. She profiled herself as “Cat Lady.” She also shares her mortifying “Changing Seats” debacle and how hilarious it was… later. This Person in the Know opines on what causes breakups, what is at the core for keeping a relationship together long-term, and then gets interestingly philosophical when talking about humor, not only as a healing power, but how it forges connections with people, whether you’re with them in person or not. Among her suggestions for a person moving on after a breakup, Robyn says if nothing more, reach out to others for support and validation.
