Can't Get Any Worse Podcast

Welcome to the Can’t Get Any Worse podcast, hosted by Brisbane comedian, Jimmy Missen, talking shit and making life’s chaos a little funnier. Most weeks, it’s solo we kick it solo talking about my dick, depression and dumb thoughts, and whatever nonsense life throws my way. Sometimes, I bring on a guest for a yarn. And if there’s a UFC pay-per-view, you bet I’m breaking it down (poorly). No deep insights, no life lessons, just laughs. Tune in and let’s make your week slightly worse. Hosted on Acast. Ep. 241 "Mower Milk"

This week the internet proves once again that there is no rock bottom with another edition of Turns Out It Can Get Worse, featuring a woman with the most confusing definition of cheating ever, a bloke who's somehow turned being on fire into foreplay, and a bloke devastated that a Woodstock giveaway... doesn't actually give away bourbon. Back in the real world, Parker asks one of the greatest philosophical questions of all time: "Can deaf people hear if I scream in their ear?" We spend a night in Coolangatta wondering why there are more massage parlours than coffee shops, Parker accidentally drops the funniest F-bomb I've ever heard, I pay tribute to a council worker who unknowingly detonated two months' worth of "mower milk", and I gain a whole new level of respect for the legends making a living on eBay. In comedy, I hit the first ever Forest Lake Tavern open mic before racing to a packed room in Fortitude Valley, where the biggest surprise of the night wasn't the crowd... it was two undercover detectives casually strolling through the green room. Plus, Westy has fallen in love with the World Cup while I'm still trying to work out how two hours of football can end 0-0, and I ask the important question... when did the referee become the most exciting bloke on the field? Grab a Kamikazee, settle in, and enjoy another week of absolute chaos. #ComedyPodcast #AustralianComedy #StandUpComedy #AussieHumour #Parenting #DadLife #ComedyLife #BrisbaneComedy #Storytelling #FunnyPodcast #DarkHumour #WorldCup #TradingCards #UFC #eBay #Kamikazee #PodcastLife #ComedyReels #TurnsOutItCanGetWorse Hosted on Acast. Ep. 239 "Big Bad Dad Bod"

This week on the podcast, school holidays are in full swing, the front yard is finally (almost) finished, and I'm officially retiring from being a builder before another DIY project destroys my knees. We dive into the local corner shop worker who's somehow become my therapist, the awkward moment I mistook a workmate's family member for an Uber Eats driver, and our first high school tour for Westy, which quickly turned into one of the most uncomfortable experiences of my life. There's also a trip to a snow day event where I got assaulted by ice cubes, a rant about rich people needing "seasonal clothing", and another round of internet weirdos proving that no matter how bad things get... they can always get worse. In comedy this week, we hit the Newmarket Hotel, Madocke Brewing, and Warehouse 25, including one gig where a 10-year-old accidentally became part of the act and another where the new material absolutely came to life. Plus, thoughts on the new MGK & Honestav album, why "Crash First" is stuck in my head, and the realization that we're officially entering Conor McGregor fight month. As always, stupidity, questionable life advice, and internet degenerates included at no extra charge. #JimmyMissen #TheJimmyMissenPodcast #ComedyPodcast #AustralianComedy #StandUpComedy #ComedianLife #SchoolHolidays #DadLife #ParentingFail #DIYDisaster #SnowDay #ComedyLife #BrisbaneComedy #AussieHumour #ConorMcGregor #UFC #MMA #Honestav #MGK #PodcastLife #FunnyStories #InternetWeirdos #KnuckleBet #ComedyClips #WeeklyWrapUp Hosted on Acast. Ep. 237 "UFC Freedom 250 Breakdown"

This week we're breaking down the most ridiculous card Dana White has ever put together, UFC Freedom 250 live from the White House. We've got Ilia Topuria defending the lightweight title against Justin Gaethje, Alex Pereira chasing history against Ciryl Gane for interim heavyweight gold, Sean O'Malley looking to get back on track, Michael Chandler trying to stop the Mauricio Ruffy hype train, and Derrick Lewis doing Derrick Lewis things against undefeated prospect Josh Hokit. We're also talking the White House lawsuit trying to shut the event down, Joe Rogan questioning whether fighting outdoors is a terrible idea, Arman Tsarukyan allegedly dropping a million bucks on Gaethje, Tom Aspinall still stuck on the sidelines while Dana and Eddie Hearn trade shots, and whether Pereira becoming a three-division champion completely breaks every GOAT debate forever. Plus we go through every fight on the card, give our picks, best underdogs, and reveal this week's Can't Bet Any Worse multi. Got a story, question or submission for the pod?
