    How to Praise the Lord | Indestructible Life

    Dear Friends, Maybe life is heavy and hard for you. Maybe it’s mundane … or fantastic. Wherever we find ourselves — whatever the mess, regularity, or delight — God deserves our praise! And amazingly, our spirits rise when we exalt Him. We praise the Lord for what He’s done, and we worship Him for who He is. Have you ever heard this distinction? I’m unsure exactly where I heard it from, but I feel pretty certain I learned this truth from my husband. And it provides helpful clarity. Please join me in considering the joy of praise. I struggled to determine a topic for this episode, and then the Lord brought it all together. He’s so faithful to provide messages for me to share. And it truly delights me to teach about Miriam, the sister of Moses and Aaron, along with five ways to praise the Lord. A couple of the ways might be new to you. Each one comes straight from God’s Word, and all of them can be implemented in ordinary life. They will help you dwell on God’s wonders, sharpening your focus on Him and His incredible works. I feel uplifted again as I recall the Spirit’s leading while I presented these truths. So please find a few quiet moments, settle in a comfy spot, and tune in. Welcome Scripture into another intersection with daily life. Open your heart to our Heavenly Father, who is conforming you “to the image of His Son” (Romans 8:29, NASB). And let the praises flow. Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever.     How to Keep Going when Life Hurts

    Dear Friends, I wasn’t planning to record this message when I did. But after reading my Bible, I developed a desire to do so. Then, the Lord encouraged me as I taught. I love the way He works. Romans 7:6 reads, But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter. That phrase, “serve in the newness of the Spirit,” captured my attention. So instead of forcing myself to plod through the list in my planner, I decided to move in the most inspiring direction: creating this video. Perhaps you need encouragement because life hurts. I understand because I’ve been there. In fact, in the early morning hours before I recorded this message, tears burst onto my face. Maybe you’re dealing with a spirit of heaviness that you can’t escape. If so, please take time to watch this video. Or even just listen. Because the Lord will lift your spirit as you look to Him and His Word. He’s just that good. Thanks for being here — I surely do appreciate you.     Should You Speak Up?

    Dear Friends, I wrestled with whether to publish this video. Because the more I considered it, the main point of the message seemed like a no-brainer. Like really, of course you should speak up in the type of situation presented. But then I received feedback on another platform. One of my YouTube viewers commented about how much this message meant to them. Wow. I was blessed and encouraged. Glory to God! And I was emboldened to move forward with sharing the video with you today. Do you struggle with fear and timidity? This message is for you. But even if you don’t find it difficult to speak up, Acts 23 holds truth for all to contemplate. May the Holy Spirit speak to you through this obscure biblical account. He knows what each of us needs and when. God’s Word contains treasures for us to discover daily, and I pray that this podcast episode will resonate in all the right places.     How to Make Hard Decisions & Possess Peace Afterward

When he falls, he shall not be hurled headlong; Because the LORD is the One who holds his hand.” Psalm 37:23-24, NASB Dear Friends, Last week I wrote about how to make hard decisions and possess peace afterward. Well, I realized it might be helpful to share that basic information in video format. Because people consume content differently. I enjoy tuning in on YouTube while I cook or clean around my home. For me, it’s not really about watching — just listening. And I seem to find interesting material in my YouTube feed. How about you? Where are you most likely to consume content? Do you prefer reading, listening, or watching? Today’s technology offers many options, and Indestructible Life is available here on Substack as well as YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and more. Multiple ministry items almost crowd it out, but praise the Lord, He enabled me to share this latest message on Rahab. Her story relates to you and me. What? You might be wondering.
