"Major Corporations Hijacked Your Pallet!" Harvest & Cook REAL Food - Chef Matt Thomas (ASP Ep. 73)

Chef Matt is not just super talented at cooking our foods and understanding of the science behind it, but he is also an artist and deeply profound! His experience working at top-tier restaurants as a chef, working on regenerative farms, and teaching students is super inspiring and connects all the dots of so many passions we both share. Matt goes deep into describing a world we all don't want to live in , while also painting a picture of what we do want to like in. I enjoyed hearing him break down some complex topics in such simple way for people to digest. It's important we all have awareness around many of the issues, so we can do something about it! This episode gave me a lot clarity on the vision of the future world I want to live in and direction /steps to get there. I look forward to connecting with more minds like Matt bringing this awesome organic, regenerative culture to South Florida! Grow More Food on Small Land - Mike Garcia (Episode 70)

Mike Garcia started growing 12 years ago with a 4'x8' garden bed and now he owns Ever Oak Farm in Orlando, FL. He runs a CSA and sells produce directly at his farm , while also giving locals an opportunity to experience the farm and enjoy the fresh outdoors. Back in 2012, he was inspired by Curtis Stone to be resourceful with his tiny yard space when he was renting and one day, decided to tear up the grass and plant crops to sell direct to consumer at local markets! Mike and his comrades learned quickly how to grow lots of food on a small space and he continues plant season after season for his community, so I'm excited to share his wisdom and expertise with you today. Mike not only grows market garden produce for his customers , but he also has a Syntropic fruit tree orchard with meat birds grazing underneath them! He is all about the full systems approach and bringing as much value out of the land, and also back TO the land , as possible. As John says in the podcast, "the more producers out there the better." Let's advocate for more local growers and make resilient food systems for our future generations! -- Connect with Mike: Instagram: @everoakfarm Website: everoakfarm.com Connect with Jack: Instagram: @urbanabundancefl Website: urbanabundance.com -- Urban Abundance is helping South Florida residents transform any yard or lawn into a beautiful, and functional edible landscape. Irrigation EXPERT // U.S. Small Business Owner's Story! - Eric Oliveira (Ep. 69)

I have been working with Eric on garden and nursery projects for over 7 years now. From Palm Beach Island to Stuart, FL, he has shown me the ropes when it comes to installing professional, automatic irrigation systems for the garden. He has decades of full-time experience in the field and he brings a ton of value in this episode for you. Eric is not only a professional irrigation guru, but he also loves this country and believes in the values of our original Founding Fathers. We both are deeply interested in an abundant , harmonious future for the future generation so it's good to sit down with him and get into this subject. His specialized knowledge and way of working with people is truly impressive and I hope there are many more to follow in his steps as he passes the torch to the next wave of service providers. If we want to create a world with unimaginable abundance and well-designed farms and cities, we need to understand the flow of water and utilize it properly. There's so much watered being wasted on grass lawns and unnecessary contexts. Let's utilize these skills to grow food!!!
