LOVE STRUCK MAINLAND 2.0 PASTOR MARK

Love struck 2.0 Fundamentally, God is love. And because we are made in His image, we have the capacity to love deeply and genuinely. However, our understanding of love is shaped by many influences — the Bible, our families, our parents’ marriage, relationships around us, and even social media. All these factors affect how we perceive love and what we believe a relationship should look like. Because of this, we cannot date everyone we come across. Discernment is important. We must learn to recognize red flags, because a wrong marriage can negatively affect your service to God, your love for Him, and even your love for people. A red flag is a character trait or pattern that signals you should not get involved with someone. These are not issues to be “managed” or tolerated. Red flags are non-negotiable dealbreakers. Here are some to watch out for as a believer: 1.Someone with a different faith: Scripture warns against being unequally yoked (2 Corinthians 6:14 AMP). Spiritual alignment is foundational. 2.Someone who does not appreciate you for who you are: You must have a strong sense of identity and purpose before entering a relationship. Never shrink yourself to be accepted. 3.Someone without a genuine source of income or sense of responsibility: As a man, have something productive you are doing before entering a relationship. Stability and responsibility matter. Likewise, men value industrious women they can build with. 4.Someone who is stagnant and shows no signs of growth: Even Jesus grew in wisdom and stature (Luke 2:52). Growth is essential in character, faith, and personal development. 5.Someone who relates to you mainly as a bill collector: A relationship should not be built solely on financial extraction or dependency. In relationships, love is important — but wisdom is necessary. Not every connection is a calling, and not every attraction is alignment.
