Awesome Concept

In a world where we only see the shiny surface, this podcast is a refreshing view that things will not and do not have to go perfectly. It gives me a sense of confidence that setbacks and failures are fine. We need more honest and transparent storytelling and Deanne does a phenomenal job doing it!

Top-tier talent share their failures and successes

This podcast is a must listen for anyone navigating key decision points in their career. If you carefully listen to the wisdom shared by each guest (as well as the artful questions from Deanne), you can come away with insightful gems to take with you no matter where you are in life.

As someone who’s recently hit a massive stride in my career, I can resonate with a lot of the guests struggles and triumphs. I especially enjoyed the Matt Tucker episode where he was honest about career mistakes and blocking memories of bad experiences that don’t serve you. I’ve had to do this myself on occasion and it’s a good reminder that even someone as massively successful as Matt occasionally had to put some tough experiences behind him and block them from his life.

I also appreciated Chris Efthymiou’s episode where he shared vulnerability about mental health challenges and sweating from his right armpit. Seeing people who are at the height of their career reminisce about past (sometimes embarrassing) challenges like this is SO refreshing! Much like Deanne says at the beginning of her podcast, we can be mislead by images of “fast track success” that we assume people don’t struggle up the career ladder. But in fact I can think of nobody who I respect who is highly successful that did not at some point in their career experience a setback, heartbreak or struggle.

Thank you Deanne for highlighting these important moments of self-reflection! I would never have access to such an impressive list of career mentors without your podcast and format. Keep up the great work!
